SECTION 1 - SERVICES/SUPPORT A Access Group (Melton Mowbray) Encouraging a better understanding of accessibility for those who experience difficulty gaining access to shops and public buildings, such as wheelchair users, mums with push chairs and those with limited sight. The group seek satisfactory interpretation of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA) and will challenge those that ignore it. Disabled People Blue Badge Disabled Parking Badge The Blue Badge is issued to those persons who, due to a disability that restricts their mobility, need to have the privilege of parking their motor vehicle closer to their destination than an available authorised on-street parking place might be. Headway - Melton Outreach Service Headway provides support, advice and if appropriate, activities to people who have an acquired, not deteriorating, brain injury due to accident or illness. Headway also provides support and advice to relatives and carers. Both toilets have disabled facilities which are accessed using a RADAR key and St Mary's Way is available for night time use.
