A UTOPIAN LEGACY
By. Thais Lopez Vogel
The clear skies and sparkling stars remind me of my childhood, especially the mesmerizing tales my father told me. He was a nature-loving wanderer and an imaginative storyteller who spun stories about Osiris, a utopian planet from which he claimed to be.
Osiris was depicted as a harmonious world with crystal-clear rivers, iridescent flowers, and architectural wonders integrated with nature.
The Osirians, lovers of the arts and guardians of nature, expressed their bond with the environment through music, dance, and other creative endeavors.
In his stories, my father's love for Earth surpassed his admiration for Osiris when he arrived here, inspiring him to explore and care for our planet.
He became my mentor, instilling a profound respect for the natural world and a love for the arts. His influence ultimately led me to establish a foundation promoting sustainability, nature conservation, and artistic expression across various fields, including theater, film, and fashion.
Standing on the balcony with the stars overhead, I feel deeply grateful for my father's legacy. His tales of Osiris fueled my childhood dreams and continue to guide my adult life, shaping my aim to work for the world I live in, which is far more wonderful than my beloved Osiris.
