Vance Leavy Co-Editor Isn’t it funny how something that should be easy is often so difficult? With this third edition of Guide 2 Athens, Cheri and I, with the help of a friend, finally figured out how to differentiate the cover of our little black book from one year to the next. A simple splash of color in our logo in the center and down the spine has accomplished our objective, while retaining the simplicity of our original branding. We chose the color green in hopes that it will bring much prosperity to all these awesome businesses throughout 2011-2012.

Flowerland Flowerland is one of Athens’ longest operating and most beloved businesses. As a full service flower shop managed by sisters Jan Hudgins and Deborah Fuller, Flowerland continues to operate as a family business in a laid-back atmosphere; the same concept started by their mother in 1971. Flowerland’s customers will find a large selection of quality fresh flowers, plants, stuffed animals, balloons, other gift items and silk designs. They offer an award winning personal designer for your special events but don’t offer online ordering because they want to interact with you in person. They are pet friendly, too!
