HELLO!

This is Vivian. She is our reason for fighting. She is a sweet, sassy 8 year old that lives with a life-threatening chronic disease, cystic fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is a degenerative disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, liver & whole body.

There are daily medications & therapies that are necessary for lung preservation. Right now the life expectancy of someone with CF is 47 years old.

We are fighting for more!

OUR MISSION

Here at the Vivian Lee Foundation, our mission is to raise awareness and support for people living with cystic fibrosis (CF). Currently there is no cure for CF, and far too many lives are taken too soon from CF

We are proud to advocate and provide programming for local families living with cystic fibrosis as well as CF families all over the country. While organizations such as ours and others are fighting for a cure through our contributions to research, we understand that this disease affects everyday life as well as the mental and emotional wellbeing of patients and caregivers alike The passion of our board and volunteers is easing the nuanced challenges that come with being a family dealing with a serious genetic disease.

Our programs are designed by CF parents, who understand how hard it is to navigate through the journey of living with cystic fibrosis If we can make life a little bit easier and better for a family dealing with CF, we have done our job.

With a wine-paired dinner, cocktails, curated market with local vendors, live music, live auction and more, we can't wait to gather with our community and raise support for families with CF!

Celebrating 6 years!

More than 120 guests at our 2022 Winter's Eve event raised over $80,000 for cystic fibrosis families.

So far, 2022's event has been able to provide support to 28 local families that have someone in their household living with cystic fibrosis.

Winter's Eve at the Market provides opportunities for businesses to support and connect with the community. Together we will empower people with CF and inspire the next generation of CF warriors.

Cystic fibrosis means a lot of time at the doctor for exams, tests, blood draws and even extended hospital stays. With regularly scheduled clinic visits four times a year or more, CF can take quite the toll on all aspects of a family’s life.

Our Family Assistance Program was designed to help families find care for their other children, allowing for parents to attend clinic visits with their CF child. We provide meaningful assistance funds to cover childcare costs, loss of income for parents to attend clinic visits or during hospitalizations, medical expenses after insurance, transportation costs for to/from clinic visits and more.

CF Support Groups and

Educational

Programming: When a family receives a CF diagnosis for their child it is an overwhelming, lonely, and isolating event. Because CF is a rare genetic disease, many families don’t know anybody with CF, let alone, where to turn for support and information. With our CF Support Group and Educational Programming, we want to change that. We hold support group meetings and information sessions for families affected by CF at our office location in Newberg, Oregon.

Support Groups

It is so important for people with cystic fibrosis to stay as healthy and active as possible. No matter what type of exercise, it is so beneficial for the lungs to keep moving! Our Salty Life Activity Grants are designed to help children with CF participate in the sports or recreation activity of their choosing.

Parents of children with CF can receive funding assistance for any movement activity for their children, whether it be sports, dance, gymnastics, outdoor camps, or any other activity.
