FOR EWOR D On Sunday 4th March 2001, we had our first Service as a local church, in our living room, with our own children, and a handful of folks. 10 years later, by the grace of God, New Africa Gateway Church has made incredible strides and become a congregation of over 1,200 members, who come from beyond Roodepoort and Soweto in the West and South of Johannesburg, beyond Daveyton to the East, beyond Pretoria in the North, and of course, from North Joburg, Centurion, and Midrand itself. To this milestone, we say “Ebenezer”. Thus far has He brought us, and to God be the glory! And yet we have only just begun. We celebrate the Lord in our great leadership, our staff, our volunteer workers and in the saints, who together make New Africa Gateway Church such a joy and a privilege to Pastor. Great things are happening in our fellowship all the time, and the wonderful testimonies are evidence of the grace of God in our midst. We are so blessed that you came to visit us, and that we are able to share just a little of what the Lord is doing in our midst. OUR BELIEFS WE BELIEVE the entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine. WE BELIEVE…in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Saviour of the world. WE BELIEVE…Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again. WE BELIEVE…water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. WE BELIEVE…in the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross. WE BELIEVE…every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and by being conformed to the image of Christ. WE BELIEVE…as children of God, we are overcomers and more than conquerors and God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life in every aspect of our lives.
DR. BHEKI V. GAMEDZE South Africa-born Rev. Dr. Bheki V. Gamedze is the Senior Pastor and Founder of New Africa Gateway Church, a vibrant, rapidly growing, local church in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Dr. Gamedze has a dynamic and anointed Apostolic Teaching and Prophetic Ministry and a passion for empowering believers to rule and reign in every area of life, through Christ. He is widely travelled and has been in the ministry since 1978. He is in great demand as an International Conference Speaker as well as being a Keynote Motivational Speaker in the Corporate and Business world. He is a mentor to many high profile professionals and entrepreneurs and in Africa has ministered in South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Nigeria, and Ghana. He has also ministered in the United Kingdom, The Bahamas, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guyana, Canada, and all the regions of the United States of America. Dr. Gamedze studied Undergraduate Theology and Business Management at Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA from 1985 to 1987, and also holds a qualification in Project Management. He obtained his PhD in Philosophy from the International Theological Center, Atlanta, Georgia, in 2001. He is the author of several books and manuals, which will be released in 2011. Dr. Gamedze is the Senior Apostle and Overseer of the Hope International Apostolic Network, a non-denominational, International Apostolic church planting and covering ministry with over 60 churches under his oversight globally. Apostle Gamedze has been married to Prophet Shari L. Gamedze for over 21 years and they are blessed with five children.

PROPHET SHARI L. GAMEDZE USA - born Prophet Shari L. Gamedze [Philadelphia, Pennsylvania], is Co-Pastor and Co-Founder with Her husband of 21 years, Dr. Bheki V. Gamedze, of New Africa Gateway Church; a vibrant and rapidly growing local church located in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Prophet Shari studied Computer Science and Music at Undergraduate level at Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, from 1986 to 1989. She also holds a qualification in Bookkeeping. She has over 17 years of experience as a Senior Pastor, and assisted her husband who was an Associate Pastor of one of the largest congregations in Philadelphia, USA, for almost five years. Prophet Shari Gamedze has an internationally proven, anointed and accurate prophetic ministry, as well as a powerful teaching ministry. She is mightily used of God in the gifts of healing and deliverance. Prophet Shari has a passion for revival and equipping the body of Christ, especially in prayer and the prophetic. Prophet Shari is in great demand as a dynamic and anointed Conference Speaker. She ministers Internationally, bringing healing, deliverance, restoration, the prophetic, and renewal to individuals and congregations alike. Prophet Shari assists Dr. Gamedze in the oversight of the Hope International Apostolic Network, a non-denominational, International Apostolic church planting and covering ministry with over 60 churches under their oversight globally. GATEWAY BOOKSTORE The Gateway Bookstore provides quality resources for edification. This department manages the sale of CDs, DVDs, books, magazines, etc.
ALTAR MINISTRY The Altar Minister provides practical assistance for effective altar ministry. Altar workers ensure the modesty and safety of all when the power of God is moving and when individuals are being prayed for.
USHERS AND GREETERS MINISTRY Our Ushers and Greeters make everyone feel welcome, give information, and maintain order, for effective ministry to take place during Services. This ministry welcomes, and seats our guests and members during our services and events. They assist in the distribution of information during services, and facilitate the receiving of offerings.
COUNSELING MINISTRY The Counseling Ministry informs and encourages new believers and new members.
Counselors take decision makers from the altar to pray with them, and give the information and resources they need to reinforce their decision to receive Christ or become members/covenant partners.
ARMOUR BEARER MINISTRY Our Armour bearers are handpicked faithful and diligent workers who practically assist the headship, Pastoral Team and special guests, with excellence. This ministry exemplifies excellence and diplomacy in the way in which they serve in practical ways.
SAFETY, SECURITY AND PARKING MINISTRY Their mandate is to ensure that the headship, leaders, workers, congregation, guests, their vehicles, belongings and persons are physically safe and secure.
