The FDNY memorial wall
The memorial wall is located at the FDNY Ladder Company 10 Engine 10 firehouse, directly south of the WTC site. The 17m long bronze wall was unveiled in 2006 as a gift from the law firm of Holland & Knight . The wall serves as a tribute to the 343 of the FDNY and is dedicated to one of the firm’s partners, volunteer firefighter. Designed by Viggo Rambusch, 2006.
Remembrance Walk
On the 13th anniversary of the WTC attacks dedicated the Remembrance Walk Memorial at Monroe Community College in Brighton. The memorial consists of a walkway and a monument, made of concrete and steel, reflecting the New York City skyline. Two voids within the monument, representing the World Trade Center Towers, align with the sun and cast light upon two white concrete forms within the walkway each September 11 at 8:45 a.m.
The Cove WTC Memorial
One of the state’s most distinctive memorials is located in DeKorte Park, an open area directly across the Hudson River from the site of the 9/11 attacks. Unlike most memorials, this one is horizontal. Two wooden pier has 110 slats,representing the towers’ 110 floors.
