Lección 4

Assess student progress through tasks that test their knowledge and skills in real-world situations. Students must demonstrate their skills using the various modes of communication based on the content of each chapter.

Context Your school is having an election for student council, and you need to decide what attributes are important in the person you elect. You are going to listen to two people describe themselves. Then, you and a partner will talk about the characteristics that would make each of them a better candidate. Finally, you will describe the characteristics of your ideal candidate to the class.

Interpretive task Listen to the audio for the Escuchar activity on page 145 of your textbook. As you listen to the two people describe themselves, make a list of three characteristics that would make each of them good members of your school’s student council. Then, make a list of three additional characteristics you would like to see in your student council members.

Interpersonal task Compare your lists with your partner’s lists. Take turns asking each other what characteristics you wrote
