Dreaming of a 2022 Vacation?

Andrea is Here to Help!
By Julie Smith Taylor
Are you finally ready to start adventuring out
again? It’s been a long 18 months for many of us travel lovers. Whether you are dreaming of a river cruise, a destination vacation, or an allinclusive resort getaway in 2022, Luxury Travel Advisor Andrea Auger is here to help--and the sooner you start planning, the better! Andrea’s goal is to help you craft itineraries that include extraordinary experiences for your worry free, luxury vacation that suits you and your travel group perfectly. She’s also the one that can help make it right if anything should happen to go wrong. It’s all part of her highly professional and personalized service. Andrea created Vacations by Andrea in 2019 by parlaying her many years of corporate travel experience, love of organization, and her passion for details. She combined that with the desire to help others feel the same joy she does from traveling. “Some people spend hours and hours trying to plan a complicated trip or find the best prices that can soon become overwhelming and exhausting,” says Andrea, who is a certified luxury travel advisor. “But with me, all they have to do is call and I’ll be the one who does the research, or stays on hold for hours with an airline dealing with a change or refund. I take all the stress out of the planning and coordinating and for many people, there’s real value in that.” Andrea believes the secret to her success is in really getting to know her clients and building relationships with them. “I help all kinds of travelers--tech-savvy honeymooners who just don’t want to be bothered with the details, to retirees ready to take that life-long dream trip to Europe,” she says. “I start with an extensive Q&A session during an initial conversation with a client,” she explains. “I like to ask about past trips and what they really liked or didn’t like. I find out about mobility issues, travel styles, interests, wish lists and more. It’s all about connecting with people and getting a real understanding of what’s important to them.” Andrea also offers an open-door policy. A client can email or text her anytime and she even offers an 800 number so clients can reach a call service that can assist them”.
Here are a few trip planning tips from Andrea:
1. For best deals and availability, plan a minimum of six months in advance. 2. Hawaii is one of the hottest destinations in the U.S. Now booking for 2022. 3. For cruises, the best pricing is when itineraries are first released. 4. Spring Break fills up really fast, so start planning ASAP! 5. Flexibility in terms of dates, destinations, and accommodations gives you more leeway. 6. Keep your options open but don’t settle if it doesn’t meet your needs. “My personalized approach can be so freeing to clients who just want to know that they are in good hands with a professional who knows how to get things done,” she says. “Once the planning portion of the trip is com plete, you’ll still hear from
Check our me regarding important website for our checklists and last-minute reminders regarding new special cruises travel protocols due to Covid.” for 2022! Andrea believes the Golden Rule is her most powerful marketing tool, which is why she is so successful and gets so many personal referrals. “I just think about how I would like to be treated, so I stay in touch with birthday cards, personalized notes, and thank you cards,” she says. “If you are on your way home from a luxury trip that I helped you plan, know that a welcome back postcard from me will be waiting in your mailbox. I still believe in the art and the impact of sending a personalized mailed note.” Andrea also believes in her Chamber membership. “I wanted to get more involved and to know other business owners in my community. The Chamber has been a great way to link arm and arm with others.”

Dedicated to helping outdoor adventurers do more of what they love.

Joining the Vista Community in April 2021, Malo’o Racks is settling into their new facility. The name Malo’o is Hawaiian and means “dry” the name pays homage to founder Phil Kelly’s heritage. The word dry is the perfect representation for their product. The company focuses on solving problems often faced by those in water centric activities! Malo’o’s original product was a drying rack for a surfer’s wetsuit. It was addressing the issue of drying gear in an effective and neoprene friendly manner. Phil had exhausted all other options and finally decided if he wanted something that worked well he would have to create it himself! The product was launched on Kickstarter and quickly grew in popularity, as Phil and his partner XXX find new problems to solve their offering have grown. The newest product the Lounge Wagon is an innovative solution to the solving the age old problem of getting all your beach gear from the car to your beach spot! The most interesting feature of this wagon is it’s ability to convert from a wagon to a beach chair – complete with an umbrella! With such creative solutions, Malo’o has experienced substantial growth. As many have turned to outdoor activities over past year there has been an increase in demand for water related products. This means the supply needed to increase calling for more space to house product! Malo’o began the what seemed to be impossible task of locating more warehouse space. The search took them from one side of San Diego County to the other, fortunately they were able to procure space on Specialty Avenue in Vista! Their new neighbors in Vista have been great to work with and they operate with grace and sharing of resources. Now that online shopping is such a staple in our daily routine international sales are becoming more frequent for companies. This has been an area that the Vista Chamber of Commerce has been able to assist Malo’o – understandably the process to import and export goods has been complicated, especially this year. The chamber has been able to assist them with quick and reliable paperwork and documentation to expedite the process. Knowing that they can fulfill an order globally makes it easier to promote and market to everyone in need of their innovative products! Malo’o is well prepared for the upcoming holiday season. Thanks to the foresight of stocking the company stands to meet demands while others might encounter supply chain issues this winter as the freight and delivery services have become stressed due to the demand of online shopping. Now is the time to start planning as an end user – the Malo’o products are perfect gift ideas for the outdoorsperson in your life or the multitasking mom! Shoppers this season should plan to be savvy and early when it comes to filling those holiday shopping lists. Make a point to stop by MalooRacks.com to explore the products they have available and find their upcoming events and where you can experience them first-hand!
Fantastic and Versatile
Simply awesome! Hooks on my van mirror to dry my wetsuit after a session and also attaches to the camper for dinner time cleanup. Great design! Mike S.

Malo'o Bags Rock I love my Malo'o waterproof bags. They're not only durable, but attractive as well. Billie C.
