You’ve probably heard of New York Fashion week but new on the fashion scene is York Fashion Week. For the first time, Fashion City York will be hosting a whole week of wardrobe-inspiring events, catwalks and demonstrations for the fashion savvy and fashion curious.
Two thousand years after they founded York, the Romans are invading the city again! Hear the sound of clinking armour and marching feet as Roman soldiers rally in York with more fearsome fighting displays, a Roman camp, themed activities and stalls.
As the home to pioneers and inventors including Joseph Rowntree, York is a city where ideas spring to life. The Festival of Ideas packs a programme of world class speakers, exhibitions, performances and interactive experiences to educate and inspire.
SHAKESPEARE'S ROSE THEATRE 25 June - 2 September Europe’s first ever temporary Shakespearean Theatre is coming to York. Inspired by the original and legendary Rose Theatre in London, this will give you a thrilling and unique theatrical experience. Choose from four spectacular performances.
