A selfguided Town Walk map is available from the Yass Valley Information Centre to help visitors navigate points of interest within the town centre, which can comfortably be explored on foot. Highlights include the oldest remaining building in Yass, Cobblestone Cottage (c1836), the Yass Town Railway Station & Museum, and the Yass & District Historical Museum. A self-guided Town Drive map is also available, marking historic sites further afield, such as Cooma Cottage the home of colonial explorer Hamilton Hume.
