Hiking in Sunnhordland

Fjord sightseeing and coastal cruises are popular, and there are several of them in our region.
One of the oldest churches in Norway you find in Sunnhordland, at Moster, Bømlo. You also find Scandinavia’s smallest Castle, the beautiful Barony Rosendal.
Our region is full of outdoor adventure, both on land and in water. The fjords and ocean is a paradise for boating and fishing enthusiasts! We offer guided fishing trips, or boat rental for those who wish to fish by themselves.
Paddling between islands or guided kayaking in glacier water are other water activities that we offer. Other outdoor activities on land are guided glacier and mountain walks and bungee jumping from Trolljuv bridge.
There are several exciting and interesting museums and visitor centers in Sunnhordland, for instance Folgefonna National park Centre, which include Norway’s third biggest glacier.
We are prowd to have 2 World champion chefs, running restaurants in Bekkjarvik and Leirvik. Many of the restaurants focus mainly on local produce and specialties.
