Bringing in tens of thousands of people to our city every other year, the Owensboro Air Show is one of the most exciting experiences you’ll find anywhere in the world. All eyes will be on the sky to witness a wide range of aircraft performing aerial demonstrations for a weekend of family-friendly fun that’s guaranteed to awe and inspire.

HYDROFAIR

If you want some waterfront excitement, then plan a trip to see the Owensboro HydroFair. Head to the downtown riverfront to see more than 50 hydroplanes race across the Ohio River, reaching speeds that top 170 miles per hour. Water will spray, and engines will roar at this exciting three-day event.

ALL-AMERICAN FOURTH OF JULY

Owensboro celebrates freedom in a huge way each year on the downtown riverfront, where you can catch one of the best fireworks shows you’ll ever experience. Even cooler, the City of Owensboro sets off fireworks at multiple locations across the city, giving you the chance to see and hear the symbol of freedom all around you.
