More Sports & Outdoors LAKE THUNDERBIRD STATE PARK Lake Thunderbird State Park, is 13 miles east of Norman and features 86 miles of shoreline fun. The park is popular throughout the year for water sports, hiking and biking trails, camping, eagle watches, and hayrides. Deer archery and waterfowl hunting is available in specified areas during the season.
