3. Plein-Air – Drawing Activity Plein-air painting, in its strictest sense is the practice of painting landscape pictures out-ofdoors; more loosely, the achievement of an intense impression of the open air (French: plein air) in a landscape painting. Together with the Malta Tourism Authority and Nature Trust, we asked a group of participants to undergo this rewarding experience at Qawra Point Beach. An Art tutor explained the principles of drawing landscape and guided the participants to create interesting artistic works. Throughout the session our speaker explained the importance of having accessible beaches and a lifeguard tower to monitor and assist in case of any emergency.
