La Val di Fiemme è circondata da cime di rara bellezza, come le guglie del Latemar, riconosciute dall’Unesco “Patrimonio Naturale dell’Umanità”. Sciando è possibile immergersi nel paradiso naturalistico dello Ski Center Latemar, fra i 50 km di piste che collegano Predazzo, Pampeago e Obereggen. Nella skiarea Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia le piste da sci accarezzano i confini del Parco Naturale di Paneveggio Pale di S. Martino. E dalla Skiarea Alpe Cermis, con la sua lunghissima pista Olimpia, si gode uno dei più emozionanti panorami sulle Dolomiti. Altri scenari sulle montagne calcaree, che riflettono i colori di alba e tramonto, si aprono sul Passo di Lavazé-Oclini, dove lo sci alpino incontra lo sci di fondo. World Tops of rare beauty encircle Val di Fiemme, like the pinnacles of Latemar that Unesco declared “Natural World Heritage Site”. Skiing up there means being in the natural paradise of Ski Center Latemar, on the 50 km of ski slopes that connect Predazzo, Pampeago and Obereggen. In the skiarea Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia, the ski slopes caress the boundaries of the Natural Park Paneveggio Pale di S. Martino. And from the Skiarea Alpe Cermis, with the 7,5 km-long slope Olimpia, you can enjoy the most touching panoramas over the Dolomites. Other glimpses of chalky mountains, that reflect the sunrise and sunset colours like a mirror, are at Passo di Lavazé-Oclini, where downhill skiing meets cross-country skiing. 13

Si possono anche fare escursioni nella neve e ciaspolate nei parchi naturali di Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino e del Monte Corno, fra impronte di cervi, caprioli e volpi. For cross-country skiing newbies, Val di Fiemme offers free of charge ski lessons (group lesson for all beginners showing their Fiemme-Motion Winter Card). For more experienced cross-country skiers, we suggest a skiing tour with an instructor who will ski with you on the enchanting tracks at Passo Lavazè. In Val di Fiemme there are many activites for non skiers such as snow walking and excursions in the natural parks of Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino and Monte Corno, among tracks of deer, roedeer and foxes. In addition, Val di Fiemme is very attentive to cross country skiers and is member of the Cross Country Ski Holidays club, born to promote alpine resorts of excellence devoted to this discipline. 25

APPARTAMENTI PRIVATI PRIVATE HOLIDAY APARTMENTS L’APT della Val di Fiemme nel 2009 ha voluto aderire con entusiasmo ad un progetto provinciale che mira ad una maggiore regolamentazione degli appartamenti privati destinati ad affittanze turistiche. Il progetto prevede il sopralluogo da parte di personale addetto presso tutte le strutture associate all’APT e la loro classificazione, da 1 a 4 genziane, secondo criteri oggettivi che analizzano tutti gli aspetti importanti ai fini del comfort offerto: dalla qualità dell’arredamento alla disposizione dei locali, dalla presenza del parcheggio a quella di apparecchiature come lavatrice

o lavastoviglie, più eventuali “plus” come ad esempio collegamento internet, biciclette a disposizione o barbecue. Questo permette al personale dell’APT di migliorare il livello di conoscenza delle strutture aderenti e poter orientare efficacemente l’ospite garantendo la qualità delle soluzioni proposte. Un gruppo di lavoro/rappresentanza di proprietari lavora costantemente insieme all’APT per proseguire questa attività che ha previsto tra l’altro anche la creazione di un regolamento condiviso per le affittanze e dei prezzi indicativi min/max che possano essere da guida per tutti.
In 2009, the Val di Fiemme Tourist Board enthusiastically signed up a provincial project applying stricter regulations to private apartments for holiday rentals. All the apartments signed up to the local tourist board are subject to inspections by officers in charge, who assign a 1 to 4 gentian category, according to objective standards that analize what the facilities offer in terms of comfort: furniture quality and rooms layout; availability of parking spaces or household appliances such as washing machine and dishwasher; any other “surplus value”, like Internet access, bicy-
cles or barbecue. The local Tourist Board will thus have a better knowledge of the apartments available, in order to assure its guests the most appropriate accommodation solution and the best quality. A group of owners’ representatives is constantly working on the project with the local tourist board to establish, among other things, common rental rules and the indicative minimum/maximum prices that will serve as a guide for everyone.
