t’s like stopping to smell the roses, but in vacation mode. Taking a selfie with an alpaca… seeing your child’s eyes light up as you approach carnival rides… holding your sweetheart’s hand while taking a sunset walk by the lake… that first sip of microbrewed beer. It’s the little things worth visiting for—the simple moments that make a big impression for years to come. On the cover, you’ll see little mementos of Butler County. There’s so much to do here, from uncovering history to dining on Asian food. We’ve got quirky attractions galore… like Stella, a goose that likes to walk brides down the aisle, and a giant green and purple ice cream cone. We specialize in meetings, sporting events, weddings and festivals. With an incredible location, we are only five hours from half of the U.S. population! We offer our event attendees over 2,000 hotel rooms and hundreds of restaurants and shops.

Other tiny treasures represent golfing, camping and shopping, to name a few. Nearly a dozen golf courses are available for everyone from beginner to pro, including lessons and driving ranges. Our campgrounds offer diverse accommodations for outdoor enthusiasts. Sleep secluded under the stars, close to town, or go glamping. Shops range from friendly “mom and pop” shops to larger stores whose names you’ll instantly recognize. You’ll find everything from geodes to a new battery for your GPS. Although there’s not one major attraction, Butler County’s little things are a major attraction. There are some itineraries in this guide to get you started, but there’s plenty you could customize to your own interests. We encourage you to visit and make your own memories.
