Who or what has had the greatest influence on your work? I have been most inspired by the work of 20th century inventor, architect and visionary Buckminster Fuller, and generally by the need for design to contribute to the alleviation of suffering around the world. If you weren’t a designer, what would you be? I would want to be a teacher, for teachers are also designers of society as they can inspire a new generation of designers. What was the first industry award you ever won, and what impact did it have on your career? My first award was a Royal Institute of Architects student design award. Of course, I was happy that my design could communicate my ideas and be understood by an audience. jameslawcybertecture.com
