MIDDLETON UPDATE

We are thrilled to announce, we have moved our drinks distribution depot from Runcorn to Middleton, having gone live, mid-June. The new home for our depot teams in the Northwest is part of our long-term multimillion-pound investment in the region’s pub distribution network and builds upon our longstanding partnership with GXO who run the new depot on behalf of Greene King.

This move has been about improving efficiencies, creating space for growth, innovation, and building a future-ready operation that focuses on putting our customers at the very heart. The team will complete at least 330 drinks deliveries per week across our managed estate, free trade and pub partners and has the capability for further growth.

The next phase of roll out for Middleton will see non-food (items such as crockery, napkins) begin later this year and food and recycling moving February 2026, completing the first hub in Greene King’s group supply chain that is home to food/drink/non-food and recycling all in the same place.
