Professional Christian Women Can Have Both a Career and Family By Myles Collier
T
he number of women entering the workforce has been steadily increasing over the past decade, but with the continued rise, many Christian women are questioning how they can be successful in the workplace while not compromising their faith or family. This debate has long gone on; pitting the goals many women have for a career against balancing both their faith and their family. One professional Christian woman gave her own personal account of raising her children and overseeing two fortune 500 companies. Diane Paddison, author of "Work Love Pray: Practical Wisdom for Young Christian Women," offers her own personal stories to make the case that the only thing needed for women to have a thriving career while raising a family is their faith. This may seem like an isolated occurrence, but the number of women in the work force is not slowing- in fact it's increasing at rates never seen before. 2009 was the first year that women outnumbered men in the workplace, and now currently women are the primary breadwinners for 40 percent of households. Of the total amount of women in the workplace, 70 percent are Christian. Paddison, in her book, offers practical advice from a Christian woman's experience who has led several top U.S. companies, as well as detailing personal stories of her own struggles managing a large company while still maintaining her Christian identity. At a recent event in New York City, Paddison was invited to lend her insight about the current state of corporate America while focusing on how Christian professionals who find themselves in a secular work environment can overcome their struggles of living through their faith while maintaining professional business relationships and a fulfilling and satisfying career. One of the topics that was discussed dealt with helping Christian professionals reconcile their personal anguish between being a living embodiment of their faith and being the consummate professional in the office place. When asked how people should live their faith in the workplace, Paddison made it clear that Christians should be the embodiment of the gospel and that should show through their work and interactions. "I think the most powerful way we can impact our work place is through following a quote that St. Francis of the CC shared and that is preach the gospel and if necessary use words," she said. "So I think just by how we treat teammates, how we treat the people who work for us and how we take care of our clients says so much about are faith." Paddison insists that no one should hide their faith in the workplace, while suggesting women considering any position should be honest with themselves about their expectations. She also stresses setting personal limits in order to excel in their work without having to compromise their career or faith. As it is written in Judges 4:1 the Israelites once again did evil in the eyes of the LORD. So the Lord sold them into the hands of Jabin, king of Canaan. The commander of his army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth Haggoyim. Because he had nine hundred chariots and had cruelly oppressed the Israelites for twenty years, they cried to the Lord for help (Judges 4:1-3).

eborah , a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, chosen by God to lead Israel out of the hands of Jabin. Deborah saw herself as a leader for God first, then a woman and wife second. She understood that she was a woman and leader, chosen by God to lead and serve. During that period of time woman were inhibited by their culture to lead. But Deborah was not hindered in any way, her mind was simply led by God. Deborah was not only a leader, but a remarkable woman of history. She was not seeking power, but to be of service to God. She was a woman of character and compassionate toward others. She was a mediator, planner and advisor. She had extraordinary leadership skills and a strong relationship with God. She was gifted and talented, a writer of songs and a woman who enjoyed praising God. Deborah relied, not only on her own confidence, but the confidence of God, which set her apart in her position of leadership. Deborah did not boast of herself, she gave all praises to God. She was worshiper who worshipped God in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Deborah was an example setter for other woman, she believed that God can do great things through people who are willing to be led by God. She realized the need to be available when God needed her, and also when others needed her as well. The Rabbi’s describe Deborah as “a woman of illuminations or Splendors, extraordinarily knowing and wise.” She was devoted to the service of Israel. Deborah advised Barak, Commanding General of Israel to “Go! This is the day of the Lord has given Sisera into your hands, has not the Lord gone ahead of you?” Her personality commanded even the respect of a commanding general. But her authority came from God, and she was God’s mouth to the people of Israel. We learn from the character of Deborah that we can do all things when we know that God is in control at all times. Before we make daily decisions in our daily lives or in the midst of a battle, we must understand that wisdom and leadership are in the hands of God.

She is not just a business woman, but she is a wife and mother of 3 beautiful children, all of them given names from the Bible. Her oldest girl is “Favor,” youngest girl is “Faith,” and youngest and only boy named “Godswill.” All of Joy’s children are on honor roll in school. Joy juggles the job of wife and mother, while holding down a full time job as an RN Registered Nurse and business owner.

The Joccini label was created in 2008 by Joy Umeobi, a visionary who believes everyone was born with a style of their own, be it ethnic, vintage, dramatic or classic. One of the missions of Joccini is to create unique and original designs that enable the wearer's style and personality to shine through. Some people want the celebrity look but not the celebrity cost; Joccini makes celebrity looks affordable. Joy's sense of style was apparent during a childhood spent watching her mother sew. At an early age when she would draw, color, nip and sew miscellaneous materials for doll dresses. here is a joy that comes when telling others about the good news of Jesus Christ. The joy comes to the heart of one who understands all that Jesus did on the cross. Jesus’ love resonates in that person. He or she has to share what is in their hearts. They simply cannot help themselves. Boldness and courage rises up because of God’s Holy Spirit residing within them. Their feet are quick to go and share with others all that Christ Jesus means to them. Evangelism comes easy to those who have an overflow of God’s love in their hearts. The Scripture tells us in two different verses:
“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”(Isaiah 52:7) And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? The good news has to go out to the people. Every believer in Christ Jesus has been given the commission to tell others the way to salvation. Do not use excuses because there really are none to justify letting others die without hearing what Jesus did on the cross for them. Just tell it and let the Holy Spirit take care of the rest. The Bible also says that the “the righteous are as bold as a lion.”(Proverbs 28:1b) Lions are stately and bold in their walk. Challenge: Believer, go ahead and be very, very bold! God has your back so take no thought for your life. Someone needs to hear about the Lord!

od Cares Charities takes thrift shopping to new heights. Those who frequent popular thrift shops are used to racks filled to overflowing with apparel of different sizes and styles. In spite of best efforts, clothing is often tagged for sale with spots, stains and other flaws. There is often very little space, fallen pieces of apparel left on the floor, and the all-too-familiar smell of used clothing and shoes. God Cares Charities is very different. Just walking in the door makes you feel you as if you are in a department store rather than a thrift shop. The highly polished floors and attractively arranged round racks make an instantly positive impression and encourage you to spend some time looking around. Clothing is nicely arranged and clearly marked for misses and women, juniors, men and children. The selections are excellent, ranging from casual and career apparel to dress wear. Most pieces are pre-owned, but appear to be in very good condition. You'll surely recognize many labels, some of which are from familiar mid-range collections or are department store house brands. A few designer pieces are likely to be unearthed by patient and sharp-eyed shoppers. There is an attractive display of fashion jewelry and a nice selection of handbags for all occasions. Necklaces are hanging neatly rather than placed in small plastic bags or hopelessly tangled. Handbags are separated by size with a nice selection of wristlets, sequined evening bags, satchels and totes. Some brands are well-known, such as Nine West, The Sak and Anne Klein. A few items on display are new, in their original packaging or boxed. One thing that is very different at God Cares Charities is that they accept all major credit cards. Most thrift shops accept only cash or debit cards. You can use a Visa or Master Card with no problem. The receipt states that, ’Exchanges and store credits available only for God,’ and no refunds are given. Toward the back of the store there is a very nice assortment of household goods and furniture, ranging from dishes and knick-knacks to bed frames and coffee tables. If you’ve never shopped at God Cares Charities, it’s surely worth a visit. Located just off I-26 at 796 B St. Andrews Rd., there’s plenty of free off-street parking with handicapped spaces near the entrance. You’re almost guaranteed to be positively impressed by the selection, layout, space and cleanliness. The prices are competitive with those of Goodwill and most other thrift stores in the greater Columbia area. The ttore is staffed by helpful, friendly people who take time to answer your questions or concerns without pressuring you to purchase anything. God's seed time and harvest governs more than finances
M
any philosophies recognize one of the most powerful standards of God’s economy, and that is the law of sowing and reaping. Some call it karma, more contemporary beliefs call it the cosmic boomerang, however Christianity, Judaism, and even Islam recognize God’s concept of seed time and harvest. Once Noah disembarked from the ark and sacrificed one of every clean beast to the Lord, God in turn declared in Genesis 8:22, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease”. Not only was a physical law established, but a more powerful spiritual application was declared that supplemented other important utterances that cemented the reality of sowing and reaping. Agricultural regions and farmers understand the physical concept of sowing and reaping, however the power of declaration is even more relentless as exemplified by some of these scriptures: Proverbs 18:21: Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Galatians 6: 7-8: Be not deceived: God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to the flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life eternal. Tithing, offerings, and sacrificial giving are “seeds” designed to generate the blessings of God as stipulated in the various stories in the Bible that substantiates how seed time and harvest works. Tithing, or giving a tenth, is actually the minimum requirement to demonstrate an individual is not in financial idolatry. Offerings are what is given above the tithe, and sacrificial offering is something given where the giving “hurts”. Job was deemed to be the most righteous individual on Earth by God. Satan complained that he could not inflict harm on Job or his possession since God put a “hedge” around Job due to Job’s righteous standing with God. Job tithed and God rebuked the devourer for Job’s sake per the covenant established by tithing. Offerings given above the tithe can return additional blessings and benefits as declared by Jesus in Luke 6:38—“Give, and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” This type of giving unleashes economic benefits where people will be led by God to give you things not merely limited by money. There are other obvious benefits as having the favor of God which will include a plethora of intangibles. God will do things as not allow the curse to run unabated which is promised in one scripture which says “an undeserved curse cannot land” according to Proverb 26:2. 21
Sacrificial giving will have God intervene directly as in the case of Solomon who made such tremendous sacrificial givings that God Himself came in a dream to inquire what Solomon wanted. Sacrificial giving releases the power of miracles and the supernatural as what took place during the beginning of the Christian church in Acts when believers sold all that they had and laid the proceeds down at the apostle’s feet. Or the widow casting in all of her living of a couple of mites into the treasury was a tremendous example of sacrificial giving. Jesus declared her offering to be the most of all as others deposited great sums into the treasury, but had much of their substance left for themselves. In current day theology, there is a saying that “one cannot out give God” and numerous testimonies of people taking the challenge and being richly blessed are there for inspection. Even when one merely tithes, God challenges believers to “prove Me” on tithing, the only stipulation in the Bible that God says to test Him on this which is detailed in Malachi. The promise is that the Lord will open up the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing so great that there would be no room to receive it all. This result could be financial, spiritual, and physical blessings.

Just because there is a cross on the front of the building doesn't mean it's a "Christian" church or organization. Jesus Christ warned that "many shall come in My Name" but to not be deceived. orbes recently published their list of The World's 100 Most Powerful Women. In assembling the list, they looked for women who run countries, big companies or influential nonprofits. Their rankings are a combination of two scores: visibility (by number of press mentions), and the size of the organization of country these women lead. At number 1, for the fourth consecutive year, is German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Chairman Sheila Bair, who remains in the No. 2 spot, has presided over the orderly takeover of 77 banks so far this year. Chief Executives Indra Nooyi of PepsiCo, (No. 3), Cynthia Carroll of Anglo American, (No. 4) and Irene Rosenfeld of Kraft Foods (No. 6) rank among the world's most powerful businesswomen and are tasked with steering their companies through unusually challenging times. Queen Rania of Jordan, at number 76, is the perhaps the most listened-to woman in the Middle East. Trying to come up with a list of the world's most powerful women begs the question of what "power" is all about. Forbes asked nine female leaders in big business and influential nonprofits to share their reflections on "power." Here's what they had to say: "Confidence is Power" - Lauie Ann Goldman, CEO, Spanx "Power is the ability to create change in the world" - Tensie Whelan, Executive Director, Rainforest Alliance Power is not being tied to any person or any thing. Deanna Kangas, CEO of Stila Cosmetics Power is having "the ability to change the world in powerful ways through collaborative and collective efforts." - Linda Avey, Co[Founder and Co-President, 23and ME Reading through the Forbes list, and the reflections of these nine "powerful" women made me think how very differently things work in the economy of God. For the Christian woman, "power" has an entirely different meaning. "Power" is not about chipping our way to the top of Forbes list. It's all about the gospel. The gospel of Jesus Christ is "the power of God." Paul proclaimed that he would never shrink away from proclaiming that fact. (Romans 1:16) So what does power look like in a Christian woman's life? It looks very, very different than the world's idea of power. For the Christian woman, power is knowing Christ and the power of his resurrection and sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death. (Philippians 3:10) Power is not about attaining confidence, prominence, influence, having choices, being the head of a government or having a CEO position in a company. Power is living a cross-centered life. Power is dying to sin and living to righteousness. Power is laying down our lives for the sake of the gospel. Power is humility, and service, and self-sacrifice, and often involves suffering and shame. It's "sharing in Christ's sufferings, becoming like him in his death." That's a radical thought. 29

HUMAN TRAFFICKING By Yvonne P. Mazzulo
Human trafficking and the sex slave trade have been associated with underdeveloped and overpopulated countries for years. Contrary to a common belief, human trafficking is not just a problem in other countries. According to U.S. government estimates, thousands of men, women, and children are trafficked to the United States for the purposes of sexual and labor exploitation. An unknown number of U.S. citizens and legal residents are trafficked within the country primarily for sexual servitude and, to a lesser extent, forced labor. Many Americans would be surprised to discover that modern-day slavery occurs here in the United States. Furthermore modern-day slavery and the sex trade in the United States has become a $28 billion dollar industry, rivaling drug trafficking. One woman who is stepping forward to call attention to and take action against the human trafficking problem in Houston, Texas is Linda Geffin. Ms. Geffin is chief of the Harris County Attorney’s Special Prosecution Unit. Geffen states, "Houston serves as a destination for victims of trafficking forced into commercial sex, as well as a training ground where women and girls are shipped to other destinations throughout the U.S. and that 30 percent of calls to the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline come from Texas. Currently all eyes are on Texas because of this week’s Super Bowl which is expected to draw plenty of sex workers. This makes a good platform to bring attention to the reality of modernday slavery but to be clear, human trafficking and the sex slave trade are far from exclusive to the state of Texas. Cases of human trafficking have been reported in all 50 states, Washington D.C., and some U.S. territories. Who are the human beings that are kidnapped and forced to work as slaves and where do they come from? This answer may be somewhat surprising. Victims of human trafficking can be children or adults, U.S. citizens or foreign nationals, male or female. Although many of the young women and children (both girls and boys) are brought to the United States from underdeveloped countries, just as many of the girls and boys are U.S. citizens, born and raised on U.S. soil. Many of the U.S. children are runaways. As for the children brought to the United States from other countries, they are promised legitimate jobs and a better life for their families and themselves. 31
An organization that is fighting modern slavery in the United States is the Polaris Project. Named after the North Star that guided slaves towards freedom along the Underground Railroad. The Polaris Project has been combating human trafficking and modern-day slavery since 2002. The organization serves both U.S. citizens and foreign national victims, including men, women, and children. But one Prince George's County resident is only getting faster after she entered the world of competitive running. Rose Green is a champion sprinter. She has won medals in the 200 meters, the 400 meters, and is the American record holder in the 60-meter sprint. She is also a great-grandmother. Green will turn 77 on May 24 and only took up sprinting last year. But she is already one of the best in the world in her age group. “She's world class ,” said her coach, Cortez Austin. Green trains as many as seven days a week with Austin. While he is her coach, he is also a bit more. “I hate that term -- ‘your boo,'” Austin said laughingly. “She is definitely my boo.” Green and Austin have been dating for four years, but she doesn't receive any special treatment. “I think of myself as a very nice coach,” said Austin. “She might not think that.” “He'll tell me, ‘Your form is not right, you're not going as fast as you should,'” Green said. “He's a very strict coach even though we are lovers.” Green has accomplished so much in just one year of competitive sprinting. But her career would not have gotten out of the blocks if it were not for the great tradition and reputation of Jamaican sprinters. “This older guy, he's 91 now -- he always said to me, ‘You are a Jamaican. You were born to sprint. Why don't you go ahead and do the sprints?'” Green told us. Since then, she has been sprinting and teaching weight training at the Cameron Grove adult community. Her students and fellow runners see her as an inspiration. 35
“She is like a celebrity,” said Austin. “It's no question that she is an inspiration.” “I hear that so many times that I'm starting to believe that I'm an inspiration to all these people,” Green said. She runs for fun, but in her heart, she is a competitor. And she is not even close to being finished. “I'm working towards the world record,” she said. “Why not?” Green is currently training for the outdoor national championships and the national senior championships, which both took place in July 2015.

hile shopping in the grocery store for energy drinks, a lady walks up to me and says, “Are those drinks good?” Yes, there pretty good I replied. The lady asked me, “how much sugar is in that drink?” “about 22g,” I replied. “all that sugar is not good for you!” really, I replied. You should try these, she picked up a drink called, “Sparkling Water,” low in sugar and no caffeine, says the lady. Oh, well, thank you! I will try that drink! I replied. By the way, what is your name, Judy Shiver she said. It was truly a pleasure to meet with Judy Shiver. After leaving the store I introduced Judy to my brother, who was waiting outside the store for me. I actually bought the energy drinks for my brother. Judy immediately started lecturing my brother about using too much sugar. The three of us engaged in a conversation for about an hour, then we started to head home. It was amazing how quickly we had become friends. My brother and I decided to walk with Judy, walking in her direction would have taken us home as well. On the way, Judy invited us to her home, she was very friendly. Judy explained that she had Crotched a table cloth and wanted to share it with my brother and I. We arrived at Judy’s house. Judy showed me around her house; her house was neatly decorated, with a very relaxed atmosphere. Judy showed me a table cloth that she had Crotched, it was beautifully handcrafted with a cream color, crotched with twine. “It took me 8 years to crotchet this table cloth,” said Judy. The table cloth was creatively designed with small cream color roses made of twine. The Lord has given me a heart for creative/gifted and talented people,. Sometimes the Lord puts creative people in my path, and they generally get featured in my magazine. I was amazed at how creative Judy was and all the wonderful things that she had made with her hands. Judy is a multi-talented creative woman of God, she showed me other things that she had made such as, hats, scarves, children’s jewelry and sweaters. She knitted a beautiful yellow sweater, it was thickly designed for the winter months. She was working on another sweater that she had crotched, a beautiful pink color. VCM: I had the pleasure of interviewing Judy Shiver: Judy: VCM: Who is Judy Shiver? Judy: A Woman of many talents. VCM: Where did your passion for knitting come from? Judy: My grandmother taught me VCM: Where were you born & raised? .

People in the city do not buy much, but when I go to the country I can sell more of my products. In the country they seem to appreciate more. Single Christian Moms be the Peacemaker with your Ex-partner By Chere Williams
O
ne of the most challenging aspects of being a single mom is maintaining a good relationship with the father of your children. When a relationship ends between two people they go through a period of adjustment, usually a very difficult and painful time for the whole family. Through the grace of God and prayer eventually both the parents and children involved will become comfortable with their newly structured family situation. Inevitably you will hit a snag. That snag can be mended or that snag can unravel and make everything fall apart. The choice is yours. When disagreements occur, I like to refer back to Matthew 5:9, Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God. If, you are a single mom most likely you will have a relationship with the father of your children for the rest of your life. Even if you both remarry you’ll always be connected through them. It is your responsibility to make the best out of that relationship. Don’t misunderstand me they should make an effort. However, you are not responsible for their actions, but in the eyes of God you are responsible for your own words and actions. Take the initiative and be the peacemaker. Even if you feel you are 100% correct, swallow your pride and be the peacemaker because God is watching your actions. Treat him like Jesus would treat him. Aren’t we supposed to show love and compassion to those we don’t even know? Surely the person t we created a child with deserves that compassion also. This is a lifelong partner even if they aren’t living with us in our daily life. We are human and flesh has a way of rearing its ugly head. It isn’t easy to turn the other cheek and offer an apology when you think you’re right. God will bless you for it. There are a multitude of emotions that occur in a relationship, especially a relationship in transition. It is highly unlikely that you’ll never have a difference of opinion, or someone’s feelings won’t get hurt, but you can either let that snag unravel your foundation or you can patch it up and make it stronger. You are a child of God, therefore it is your duty to be a peacemaker. You are not to cause strife, or spew harsh criticisms, but you are instructed to love one another and to do as Jesus did. It is imperative that we set the best example we possibly can for our children. As parents we are responsible for modeling behavior that is godly. Do you want them to see mom and dad at each other’s throat? Worse, would you want them to emulate that behavior in their own relationships in the future? Everything parents do leaves a mark on our children, positive or negative. When we argue and hold grudges we are not showing mercy. Mercy is exactly what God wants us to give to one another. It is important that our children observe their parents treating one another with kindness and compassion. They need to understand that although family dynamics have changed, they are still a unit and the virtues God wants us to follow are still in full effect. We all want the best for ourselves and our children regardless if we are single, divorced, or married parents. What better way to give them the best than by showing them through the virtues of patience, kindness, and compassion.

Here are a few suggestions to try when you find yourself heading towards a disagreement: 1. Pray, Pray, and Pray- First and foremost look to God for guidance. If you have a contemptuous relationship and arguments begin with hello, pray first. Ask God to give you the right words to say, before you speak. 2. Choose your words carefully-How often do we blurt out the first thing that pops in our mind? Before you speak, think about what you are going to say, how you are saying it, and what you want to express. Remember the tongue is the littlest member, but can cause the most damage. 3. Walk Away- If an argument still ensues, walk away. Heated discussions never resolve the issue. Once you have some distance from the situation you will have a better attitude. The initial anger will most likely dissolve and you are more likely to come to an agreement. 4. Remember that he is a child of God- When you are able to remember that he is created by our holy creator, your heart
will soften which makes it very difficult to be mean or angry. Let's walk in the footsteps of Jesus and be peacemakers, loving those around us, offering a kind word, and being compassionate.

Synopsis Cornelia "Corrie" ten Boom was born in Haarlem, Netherlands, in 1892, and grew up in a devoutly religious family. During World War II, she and her family harbored hundreds of Jews to protect them from arrest by Nazi authorities. Betrayed by a fellow Dutch citizen, the entire family was imprisoned. Corrie survived and started a worldwide ministry and later told her story in a book entitled The Hiding Place.
Early Life Cornelia Arnolda Johanna ten Boom was born on April 15, 1892, in Haarlem, Netherlands, near Amsterdam. Known as "Corrie" all her life, she was the youngest child, with two sisters, Betsie and Nollie, and one brother, Willem. Their father, Casper, was a jeweler and watchmaker. Cornelia was named after her mother. The ten Boom family lived in the Beje house in Haarlem (short for Barteljorisstraat, the street where the house was located) in rooms above Casper's watch shop. Family members were strict Calvinists in the Dutch Reformed Church. Faith inspired them to serve society, offering shelter, food and money to those in need. In this tradition, the family held a deep respect for the Jewish community in Amsterdam, considering them "God's ancient people."
Seeking a Vocation After the death of her mother and a disappointing romance, Corrie trained to be a watchmaker and in 1922 became the first woman licensed as a watchmaker in Holland. Over the next decade, in addition to working in her father's shop, she established a youth club for teenage girls, which provided religious instruction as well as classes in the performing arts, sewing and handicrafts.

Capture and Imprisonment On February 28, 1944, a Dutch informant told the Nazis of the ten Booms' activities and the Gestapo raided the home. They kept the house under surveillance, and by the end of the day 35 people, including the entire ten Boom family, were arrested, Although German soldiers thoroughly searched the house, they didn't find the half-dozen Jews safely concealed in the hiding place. The six stayed in the cramped space for nearly three days before being rescued by the Dutch underground. All ten Boom family members were incarcerated, including Corrie's 84-year-old father, who soon died in the Scheveningen prison, located near The Hague. Corrie and her sister Betsie were remanded to the notorious RavensbrĂźck concentration camp, near Berlin. Betsie died there on December 16, 1944. Twelve days later, Corrie was released for reasons not completely known. In 1977, at age 85, Corrie ten Boom moved to Placentia, California. The next year, she suffered a series of strokes that left her paralyzed and unable to speak. She died on her 91st birthday, April 15, 1983. Her passing on this date evokes the Jewish traditional belief that states that only specially blessed people are granted the privilege of dying on the date they were born.
