VM: Patrick as Creative Director of Visions Magazine what is you view on Spiritual Technologies? PH: I feel Spiritual Technology covers most areas of most people’s lives. Spiritual Technology of course covers evolving areas of electronics from the soon to be released Google glasses to nano tech. The area of Education can benefit greatly from spiritual technology. It covers the new frontiers being discovered and utilized by performers and healers in the areas of sound and music. The area of health is being revolutionized by new spiritual technology. I have to mention the works of David Wolf and Patrick Flanagan on Ormas among other things. Then of course there is the dawning understanding of the importance that diet, exercise, meditation and attitude has on our spiritual consciousness. VM: Let’s take them one at a time. Google glasses? PH: well for Christmas 2013 people will most likely be able to purchase google glasses. These will allow a wide range of expanded technical experiences. I will be able to where them as I watch a concert and you will be able to sit at home and watch the same concert in your glasses due to the connection. I will be able to see enhanced billboards and storefronts with enhanced virtual reality. The glasses will be storing volumes of reference points and different views which will eventually allow virtual three D images of everything in the world from hospital operations to under sea life to be experienced by anyone at any time. These glasses alone will shift humanity and the earth’s paradigm, take the idea of the internet being the manifestation of the collective mind; as all areas of the planet becomes available to view holigraphically in real time, to me that represents the collective mind is becoming conscious of itself VM: Education? PH: Technology allows the possibility of education which will eventually due away with the idea that one size fits all brought in by the industrial revolution. We can now work to develop an educational system which can individualize lessons for each student’s personal interests and talents. have a child who has the potential to become a genius in one area he does not waste time studying subjects that they will never use in their life. We are on the brink of making education exciting for students and a system that will allow each student to find their personal areas of passion and follow them fully. There are even new video games that use neurofeedback to assist in the learning of meditation by giving visual and sound aids that help the player to recognize different meditative brainwave states. By focusing on what the children are legitimately passionate about it opens up there channel to source energy enabling the true awakening of their genius. This genius is in everyone of us but due to the conditioning that is usually administered in the current public school system it unfortunately remains dormant. New education Technology, as I have become more familiar with as displayed by Ken Robinson with his “new education paradigm” series, Is here to launch our children far beyond our wildest dreams of what we thought was possible to achieve. VM: How briefly are music and sound being used as spiritual Technology. PH: Well one important area is the basic musical scale. The traditional Chromatic scale has been found, when compared with ancient vedic/chinese and other musical scales, to be out of synch with nature. That is to say the frequencies of the notes are not congruent with the Frequencies of the natural planet and thus when we immerse ourselves into these sound waves we are entraining our biology/consciousness in a state that is detached from our natural state On the flip side when used tactfully music/ sound healing can reconnect us with the vibrations of creation and be used in many modalities to effectively heal illnesses and emotional imbalances. VM: Ormas and food? PH: Ormas was brought to my attention by David Wolf who is renown for championing the cause of raw foods as a life enhancing lifestyle change which improves people’s health

cusco shamanic spiritual technology By Michael Peter Langevin
O
ne of the most powerful experiences I had in stay in South America was a shamanic journey led by Roberto Flores, a native Quechuan who grew up in a village high in the Andes. I met with Laura Ines Huaman Cordova, a travel agency operator, Hadasa Orenstein and writer from Israel and Roberto and we four hiked a little way on a trail to a clearing. There he spread his shaman’s blanket, donned his shaman’s hat and took out amulets and ceremonial tools. We were given three coca leaves and he led us in asking permission, blessings,
and guidance, and giving gratitude for the day we were about to share. He explained that the medicine, a mixture of Ayahuasca and San Pedro cactus, had been prepared the day before with us four in mind. He said that we must drink a minimum of three glasses, and no more than seven, with the amount in between up to each of us. As we drank the first glass, the clouds vanished and the bright sun came out. We sat in a circle and he described the wide range of effects possible from the first glass. Then (because he does not sing or
play instruments) he played recordings of traditional Ayahuasca and San Pedro ritual songs, and told each of us to walk a bit, staying within eyesight, meditating on our day’s purpose. Later we hiked to the first ruins. No one else was there. Roberto led another ritual, and poured us each another glass. He shared bits of Inca wisdom, and showed us different breathing techniques and visualization practices. Then he sent us off to forgive and give gratitude to ourselves and everyone we

Author’s note: In 2004, writer David Foster Wallace penned a seminal essay entitled “Consider the Lobster.” In it he used the Maine Lobster Festival as a prism through which to investigate the plight of the titular guest of honor, the lobster, while discoursing wildly about pain, its nature, and the predicament of those inflicting it while in the seemingly benign act of cooking. Oddly enough, rereading this essay left me identifying more with the lobster than I care to admit in ways that had nothing to do with gastronomy. And though the forces arguably responsible for my pain aren’t literally dropping me in boiling water, I am still left feeling immersed in a hi-tech cauldron that scorches me no less effectively. I have just returned from my weekly Luddites Anonymous meeting. That’s the 12-step program that helps rubes like me negotiate life in a world that is awash in technology, its gadgets, and most tellingly, its thrall. This last meeting was especially eventful. We waxed nostalgic about the feeling of superiority we felt when we figured out how to get our VCRs to quit blinking “12:00” and actually tell the correct time. And when the rush of that reverie faded, we moved on to a discussion of some of the great inventions in the world of telecommunications. Innovations like the phone booth, for example. You may not actually remember the phone booth to which I am referring. Clark Kent allegedly used one to change into his Superman costume, but, practically speaking, I can’t imagine how he successfully performed that feat unless one of his super powers was removing
a suit and tie while standing erect. Part of the phone booth’s beauty derived from the way it functioned. It was barely noticeable to the casual observer, for instance. In restaurants and other indoor public places, it was often located in the back of the establishment or at least off to the side. And if that wasn’t subtle enough, more likely than not, it was also recessed into the wall, making it difficult if not impossible to bump into one even if you tried. But its best trait was that it was dark until you stepped into it and closed the folding door—that’s when it sprang to life. An overhead light would beam on while a fan would begin to blow to make sure you could breathe comfortably. The fan also served to lay down some ambient noise, so that in the event you spoke too loudly, no one outside would be able to discern what it was you were saying. In other words, it didn’t present itself until you needed it, a trait many of us should cultivate. Beyond its utility, though, the phone booth served a dual purpose, one I would argue is of a higher calling: it shielded people outside the booth from having to overhear conversations that were more than likely less than compelling. Thus, they allowed your own banal discussions to continue unabated. There was sonic order where auditory chaos lurked in the wings. But the phone booth has gone the way of the Fotomat—though formally not extinct, you don’t want to bet any money on finding one. Not surprisingly, these days we Luddites aren’t kidding ourselves about the state of modern culture. Getting into a tug of war with technology, its hi-tech progeny, and its millions of acolytes is a losing proposition. And the exquisitely understated value of a phone booth is lost in the tidal wave of technological advances made in the telecommunications industry. This is a business predicated on increasing the speed at which people communicate, the ways in which they do so, all while diminishing the quality of the act itself. All of which leaves me feeling seared, as I see the quality of life diminish incrementally, day by day, transaction by transaction. I used to work at an outdoor restaurant with an oceanside view that would make Poseidon proud. But apparently even that natural beauty couldn’t compete with the allure of a Smart phone, an instrument at least theoretically more intellectually endowed than its owner, as I have witnessed countless patrons who chose to blather ad infinitum rather than surrender a moment to the wonder set right in front of them. Now you may argue that people must communicate, and that communication trumps all else, a rationale whose merit runs deep. Unfortunately, that’s not what’s at issue here. The crux of the problem is that technology has essentially refined the image of communicating while gutting the process. And it does so because of communication technology’s most toxic side effect—seducing us out of whatever moment we are in by stacking moments-to-be on top of one another in a manner that practically make it impossible to fully inform any one instant because of the prospective endless stream of them to come. Thus we are deposited in a netherworld where we are fooled into believing we have connected with another person when in reality we have degraded any real connection we may have had with them to begin with. The point could be made that this toll is just the cost of living in a world where hi-tech generations are here whether we embrace them or not. If the only casualty of the war waged between the Luddites and the Technophiles was the occasional missed connection replete with shared glazed looks by all parties involved, I could accept that. But now, for instance, there is hard evidence that technology’s impact on people performing their jobs within the mass transportation industries has quite possibly contributed to massive accidents resulting in multiple deaths. finding our personal creative essence By Sofia Axelsson o many of us want to find that place where creativity flows. We strive for it, create myths about it, even personalize it in form of muses and other desirable characters. It seems like the gem of gems: rare and precious. And precious it is indeed, but is it rare? The trail of thoughts about creative essence made me think of seidr, my own main magical practice. Inspired by old norse tradition, Seidr is to use the altered state of trance to attain knowledge, seer and affect your environment. It involves many techniques, but the most well known ought to be the practice of the volva -the priestess of the old norse religion - riding herself into trance to communicate with the spirits, often aided by fellow pagans singing and playing the drums. The practice has several cultural specific traits but in essence is classic magic work: to find resources beyond everyday perception to use for our own means and to the benefit of your fellow man. To play the role of the volva is a delicate thing. When spirits enters you, your own person have to step aside. This takes a ceratin amount of strenght and this strength is offered to you by your surroundings. It comes from the earth, from the winds and the sun, from everything around. At this stage the boundaries that separates you from nature, as well as from other beings and entities are dissolved. Something shifts within and without. You open up, not only to that which is around you, you also open up to that which is within you - the difference at this stage being only formalia and of little interest. And it is there, when boundaries between this and that are almost all dissolved that life force starts to flow. Creative essence is I believe, life force unrestricted. It is the potent, sensual, sexual, explosive essence within all things that wants nothing more than to create more life. Any creation, any form made by us is a celebration of it›s being. We do not have to go out of our ways to find it. But we do have to get out of our own way. In seidr, this is what the volva does. She learns to let go of her boundaries, the restrictions imposed on her by society and herself to let what is underneath flow freely. I would lie if I said it doesn›t take some courage. It does. It may even hurt when sets of belief are torn away. From childhood we are bombarded with expectations and ideas that separates us from the place of unrestricted creativity. Often we are led to believe that these restrictions keep us safe. And indeed, sometimes they do. They can keep us safe from dangers and disappointments. But they also keep us separated from unlimited creativity. When the volva lets go and communicate with

all living things, letting lifeforce flow through her she is in the same place a writer in flow, a gardener talking directly to the landscape and a mother giving birth. The creative process has it›s hold on us and all we have to do is to keep open and let it use us. Find a practice, a set of techniques, any form that suits you to shed your limitations. Use meditation, therapy or trance to shed unwanted beliefs society has put on you. Piece by piece shed even those you put on yourself: your fears, prejudices and insecurities. Step out of the comfort zone. Creativity is there waiting for you as an eager lover, wanting nothing more than to do the dance. Call it magic if you wish. It sure is magical. Or call it something else. The end result is the same. It is the best love affair you›ll ever have. Creative essence wants you to find her. The meeting resulting in unique creations from your knowledge, experience and language and her life force. All it takes is some courage. Courage to allow yourself, if only for a moment, to let your boundaries dissolve and let her flow forth. Creative essence is not a rare commodity for the lucky few. It is within all living things, waiting for us to let go. Dear Reader: The information that looking at your chart gives me is so much greater than if I were to simply be answering your question as a psychotherapist. You are on the right track in choosing a health related profession. However, you need to be doing something that slows you down. You have a very sensitive nervous system and tend to over react to the environment and others. You need to keep your kidney/adrenal channels well supported. One thing that does this is meditation and eating foods that calm you down like protein, veggies, and whole grains and eliminating caffeine and sugar from your diet. Your chart also shows that a profession that is more in the energetic healing area could be better for you. A place to begin is to add things like Qi Gong, yoga, or tai chi while you are still working at the job you have so you can move through your day with greater flow. You are in what is called The Uranus Opposition that occurs between age 40-42 typically. Uranus is the planet of radical change and pushes us to be more authentic to who we really are. The person in your dream who is attempting to murder you is a part of yourself. Sit quietly, go back into the dream and face the murderer. Ask him or her to identify themselves and what is it that they want from you? I would also suggest spending 20 min a day in a quiet space. After you spend 10 minutes just turning within breathing in and breathing out, visualize yourself in a place in nature that is calming for you. Allow a person to become present who identifies him/herself as a wise spiritual guide. Ask this person to show you a symbol (the unconscious likes to speak to us in symbols) for what your next step is. Then write the question out with your dominant hand. Using your non-dominant hand, write your answer. You may not get a clear answer right away but don’t give up. I want to reiterate that you are being called to move from a health profession to a healing profession that focuses on energy healing rather than structural healing that is medication and/or vitamin and herbal supplements oriented. I also see that it would also be more beneficial to you to be self - employed rather than working for someone else. Teaching or consulting would be great for you. Perhaps begin with enrolling in a health-coaching program and develop an independent practice gradually while still getting a paycheck from your current job. A Conversation with Joe Marshalla Ph.D.
VM: How did you venture into the work you are doing now? Dr. Marshalla: As a result of much research I found and uncovered a new and profound understanding about life, which lead me to writing my book “Repeatlessness - An Owner’s Manual for the Human Mind”. About 4 years ago, I experienced a 12-hour death experience, not “near death” experience, but a death experience. It was during that experience that I finally found the answers I was looking for. Since then, I’ve spent the last four years recovering from the physical and neurological damage caused from the trauma my body experienced. While recovering, I set out to formulate the language, models and metaphors required to communicate this new understanding about life and the human condition. It’s quite a difficult and arduous task attempting to explain a new paradigm to a consensus reality that really wants to hold on to its beliefs as absolutes. The metaphor I use to explain what it’s like for me is that it’s kind of like telling everyone here that the Earth is round when they all still believe it’s flat. VM: Can you touch on what your work consists of? Dr. Marshalla: My work is to find and then convey the fundamental, quintessential understandings required to assist in the transformation of our species. I rigorously study all currently emerging patterns in our behavioral schematics as a species and then apply all the current scientific, philosophic and spiritual understandings I’ve gleaned from a lifetime of study and my unique perspective due to my experiences. So I write books, do videos, create tools, participate in public forums and public actions and spend my every waking hour assisting everyone I can to truly understand themselves and each other. VM: There seems to be some special happening on the planet at this time, an awakening of sorts, what are your thoughts on what we are experiencing with this change? Dr. Marshalla: Well that’s exactly what my latest essay is about. I’ve kind of been waiting for the world to be ready to hear what I have to say and now that time is here. There is definitely a transformation occurring and the best way I can characterize it here with you in this interview is simply to say that the truth of our oneness is emerging and being realized. Essentially in its simplest form, we are transitioning from separation consciousness into unity consciousness. VM: What lead you to create the “Essays for the planet” that you have just released?
Dr. Marshalla: About two years ago I was included in a four and half hour documentary called, “Frequency of Genius”. This summer, the producers of that film proposed an idea for a follow up book project called, “Frequency of Genius Solutions for the 21st Century” The initial premise of the book was: The Earth and its inhabitants are in more trouble than most people know, and here’s what some of our foremost thinkers have to say about it, as well as what they think we should do about it. It was supposed to be a compilation of 12 authors, across 12 different fields of study, each contributing a chapter about the latest in what he or she understood about the world from their unique perspective. In addition to offering their point of view on the current dire conditions of the planet, each were to then offer what they felt were the basic considerations and/or actions necessary to correct or repair our current direction as well as suggest guidelines as to how to continue to harmoniously sustain life on the planet. The book was a fabulous concept that never came to pass. Yet, when I was asked to participate, I immediately set out on the task of writing my chapter and the first essay emerged, which is called, “The State of Our Union”. It truly is one of the first writings or essays that I’ve ever seen that addresses a biological evolutionary process that has changed our psychological approach to life. In fact, it represents quite an irony when we realize that the brain part that was absolutely responsible for our survival as a species is now the very brain part that we must address in order for our species to survive. VM: Do you have any words or key ideas you wish to share with humanity at this time? Dr. Marshalla: My hopes and prayers are that by sharing this information at this time, we can avert many of the problems and crises we might experience without this new understanding about what is happening to our species. What I present is very real. It’s hard core science, observation, spirituality, conclusions and understandings that will elevate not only your understanding of yourself, but understanding yourself in the context of a planetary evolutionary leap. I sincerely hope my life’s work, my purpose and my sharing assist you in yours.

eurofeedback is a specialized form of biofeedback. Biofeedback can be defined as the use of an external mechanism to provide the body with information about a bodily function that is more or less autonomic. Generally biofeedback is used to help a person restore more healthful function or to come to more consciously control a bodily state such as heart rate or muscle tension. A very simple example of a biofeedback device is a mirror. You can correct your posture without one, but the visual data you take in by looking into the mirror may help you to correct your posture more quickly than selfsensing alone, and in this way, the mirror enhances your
By Silvia Costales body’s own self-information system. Neurofeedback is EEG biofeedback. EEG stands for electroencephalogram. It is the electrical signal, as detected at the scalp, created by the neurons firing below the scalp, or in your brain. The brain is a massive feedback device already, with afferent and efferent nerves serving to relay messages constantly throughout the nervous system so that the body can track and regulate and be aware of what is doing. With neurofeedback you enhance this constant communication. Scientists have studied EEG patterns for years and come to recognize discrete qualities of central nervous system functioning such as positive mood, sustained attention, or a person’s level of stress tolerance, are clearly and reliably detectable by measuring and evaluating the EEG at various sites on the scalp. A variety of organizations have emerged in the field, organizing and publishing research as well as developing standards of care and treatment. And various companies sell FDA registered EEG biofeedback equipment and train mental health practitioners, RN’s and others to use neurofeedback to improve central nervous system functioning in their patients. Sometimes people come to me for neurofeedback alone because they already have a therapist, or they
simply want help with a sleep issue, for instance. But when it comes to my psychotherapy clients, I find that it consistently speeds up the course of psychotherapy (and brings relief!), particularly when there is a history of trauma or distressing symptoms of anxiety and depression. I would encourage anyone who is interested in using neurofeedback as a means to facilitate spiritual growth to take some time to think about what their goals are in that quest, and what it is they are seeking. Both in psychology (Maslow’s needs hierarchy), as well as in many spiritual traditions (the chakra system) the primacy of the safety of the human body, our vehicle for transcendence, is emphasized. Neurofeedback should be no exception. While neurofeedback is clearly a completely noninvasive treatment, familiarity with normative patterns in the EEG is an important prerequisite for intervention. What I am cautioning here is that you want to be sure you are working with someone knowledgeable before you try neurofeedback. If through operant conditioning you can train your brain to produce more of a certain brainwave towards a positive effect, you can also train it in a counter-therapeutic direction. Certainly the changes people report from neurofeedback sessions correlate strongly with the sort of benefits people describe through meditation and other practices designed

to facilitate. In fact, various studies have been done on the effects of meditation on the EEG patterns of meditators. If we design neurofeedback protocols based on the patterns seen in advanced meditators it is arguable that through operant conditioning we can create the same effect as long-term meditation in a shorter period through repeated training sessions through basic operant conditioning. My neurofeedback clients report greater equanimity or reduced reactivity, reduced fear, better concentration and reading comprehension, improved levels of energy and sustained focus. They frequently describe themselves being able to calmly face previously avoided difficult activities or situations. Other neurofeedback practitioners target a diverse range of issues from substance abuse recovery to pain management. Neurofeedback is also used for peak performance by musicians, athletes, executives, and others interested in maximizing their capabilities. A patient I once saw for insomnia, was also a piano player. She repted that her fingers were “flying over the keys” after one of our sessions. A quilter who came to improve her memory was also (unbeknownst to me) afraid of technical machines. One day she happily described the calm and uncharacteristic way she was now able to use her previously dreaded long-arm sewing machine for hours without interruption. Most people who try neurofeedback experience a substantial increase in their quality of life, whether that means increased focus, calm, sleep, or performance. And some do actually put together or have direct experiences triggered by neurofeedback that are extraordinarily meaningful to them. Ultimately, it may be up to the individual to discover what an optimized brain may bring them in the way of spiritual growth. Mexican Spirituality and Motherhood
Long ago in Mexico the Toltec are rumored to have understood shape shifting and aura reading techniques among much other powerful magic. After them the Mayans understood astronomy as well as well as modern day astronomers. The Mayans also had the thirteen moon calendar which still functions in complete harmony with nature, the cycles of the moon and the seasons. Then came the Aztecs who used chocolate as a mind altering ceremonial substance and practiced magic ceremonies which helped them conquer much of modern day Mexico. When the Spanish Conquistadors came most of Mexico’s powerful magical knowledge was forced underground. However Curanderos, Brujos and traditional healers have continued to functioned and serve the Mexican peoples with magic for centuries. Yet today many of the Mexican and Latino youth are rediscovering the ancient Mexican Magical Techniques and utilizing them in powerful society altering new ways. The following article only hints at some of the magical spiritual aspects of Mexican and Latino Cultures. Mexican Spirituality and Motherhood Excerpt from the “Encyclopedia on Motherhood” Motherhood is intrinsically related to spirituality in the Mexican culture. Prior to the Spanish colonization, Mesoamerican cultures in Mexico conceived detailed mythologies recounting the experience of motherhood where mother goddesses played prominent roles. The image of the great Mother in Pre-Hispanic theology is commonly represented with snakes, a symbol of fertility. Coatlicue, usually depicted with a skirt of serpents and a necklace of skulls, was the preeminent Aztec
deity. She lived in a temple adhering to a life of solitude and chastity. One day, while sweeping the temple, she became pregnant by a ball of celestial feathers that landed on her bosom. She gave birth to the Sun god and was considered the Aztec mother of all the Gods. This mythical experience of motherhood resulting from celestial impregnation permeated the Pre-Colombian worldview. Chalchihtlicue, represented as a river to symbolize water and fertility, was considered the patroness of women in labor and the protector of children. Midwifes would consecrate children to Chalchihtlicue immediately after birth. The souls of mothers who would die in the process of childbirth would be entrusted to Cihuacoatl, the serpent mother associated with birth and death. These Aztecs mother goddess had equivalent representations among the Maya, the Olmec and other cultures. For example, Ix Chel was the Mayan mother goddess of childbirth. The arrival of the Spanish gave birth to a mestizo worldview that fused Mesoamerican and Catholic European concepts of motherhood. Three archetypal narratives from this period are particularly prominent: La Malinche, La Llorona and Our Lady of Guadalupe. Malinche is considered the first mother of Mexico. She is the Mexican indigenous woman who married the Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés, converted to Christianity and became an active agent in the founding of a Mestizo Mexican heritage. According to legend, La Llorona, or wailing mother, refers to a woman who was harshly mistreated, hurt and forced to commit infanticide. As a consequence of her suffering in life, after her death, she was endowed with supernatural powers and compelled to search for her children every night. Mexicans believe that nowadays she appears like a phantasm near watery places or on the streets, screaming and crying, “Ay, mis hijos!” Both La

ach moment of the day, nanosecond after nanosecond, we are co-creating a reality from which we are either conscious or unconscious. To the degree we are conscious, lovingly paying attention to the moment, our co-creativity tends to reflect a flow of ease and grace in our experiences. To the degree we are unconscious, we reactively and retrospectively discover the fearful hand that has scripted the dramatic sequences of our existence. Curiously, we wonder how it is that certain people, places and circumstances show up in our lives. Some of these experiences show up and bring peace and joy into
our lives. Others experiences seem to bring sadness and anger. For the most part, these experiences appear as a random series of events over which we seem to have little or no control. As a result, we feel either lucky or like a victim. Various religious and spiritual texts have for eons pointed toward the reality of how we each can and do co-create our realities. Often, even the most current and evolved of teachers and new thought leaders miss a most critical part in the co-creativity equation... that of how thought, and more importantly, our spoken word, calls into form the reality of our envisioning. In order to
understand the power of the spoken word, let us reflect: “In the beginning was the word,” (the “word” translates into “primary harmony,” according to John the Evangelist of the first century A.D.) “and the word was with God,” says John 1:1. “Then God said, Let there be light,” says Genesis 1:3. Buddhists call the primary harmony “OM.” Specifically, the ultimate point to bring awareness to is that every word is made of letters and every letter has its own specific phonetic sound based on whether it is a consonant or a vowel. Therefore, when we combine various letters into words and speak these words, it is analogous to striking several keys on an instrument to

By Devin Grace elieving in earthbound spirits, and extraterrestrial beings is not what makes them real, but knowing they exist and dealing with the issue of their existence can change your life. In my decades of practice as a Psychic Advisor, Spirit Release Therapy and Clinical Depossessioner. This is work I KNOW can change our minds, our human existence, our world, for the better. You the readers must all know that, anytime we perceive something other than the true love, light, and innocence of who we truly are as one with God, we are misperceiving. That being said however, there have been many times that I connect with an earthbound spirit, usually a family member or loved one that is staying around my client to comfort them from their loss; and in the beginning of my career as a psychic consultant, I never really thought anything about it. I would do the session, engage the spirit minimally, and then continue to assist the client with their day-to-day thought systems and issues seeming to plague them. I always had phenomenal results when combining my psychic abilities, traditional education and psychological counseling training, never offering any fluff, or “spiritual” talk. Even though our work is very, very spiritual, I am always guided to go to the darker, harder places with my clients- the places we all try to avoid. Session after session, my clients and I view their inner world, and it is darker and more troubling then they had ever imagined. I know when I do a client session that these dark places are not who the client is in truth, but it is what they need most to heal from. I few years back I was studying for certification in Past Life Therapy, and during the first class, I am doodling in my notebook, a bit bored, when suddenly my teacher mentions the word “depossessionist” with a brief reference to the work of Edith Fiore. I immediately perked up. The only notes I took that day scribbled across the page in large letters - DEPOSSESSION & Edith Fiore. The very next day I ordered a total 7 books on the topics of depossession and spirit release; and I found a previous student of Fiore’s and was able to book a session myself for the next day! Let the personal experience begin! The night before my session I awoke at 3:30 in the morning from a dream- a little black winged creature had been sitting on my right shoulder, drenched in some sort of sticky dark tar. So, the next day during my session with the depossessionist
I shouldn’t have been surprised when the first thing she said is, “There is a black winged creature on your right shoulder blade.” It was at this point I knew I must become an expert in this field of depossession. I have since read every book available, training and earning certification as a Depossessionist. … But, no- I could no longer deny that earthbound spirits, dark forces and extraterrestrial beings exist! You the reader must become aware that what most people perceive is a misperception, we, all have to first acknowledge that and see it for all that we feel it to be. As a psychic, consultant, and healer, I am here to help people see their misperceptions, and now I believe this includes seeing the earthbound spirits, dark forces and extraterrestrial beings we all perceive as being inside us, on us, and around us and others in our lives. I believe that these spirits represent the deepest, and darkest, most hidden misperceptions. They create a feeling of evil existing inside, and this is the greatest misperception of all. I have seen what others might perceive as the evilest of evil, and still I know that evil does not exist. However, just like any misperception we must treat it like it exists, seeing it and acknowledging it, until it doesn’t exist anymore. Why not continue to focus on the truth of who we are in Source? The answer is because we must shine the healing light of truth on the doubts, fears, insecurities and Earthbound spirits which are limiting our fullest connection to the Source. The misperception of earthbound spirits, dark forces and extraterrestrial beings is very real. It is very confusing to most people especially when these energies are affecting their perceptions and how they are reacting to their lives experiences. I am absolutely reassured however. In all my sessions and communications, I have never met a dark force that hasn’t also wanted to “go home” and be released; even the evil is seeking release, and –always- by the end of each session they are incredulous, but very happy to have been transformed into their own light. which is used in acupuncture. Choosing to work through the resistances and challenges of life, in fact, can help strengthen one’s spiritual muscle, says Hoag. This allows us to reframe them as opportunities to grow rather than difficulties. As we tune into other levels beyond this world we become a conduit between this physical reality and the higher dimensions. This allows more love and consciousness to flow into our lives. According to Hoag, when a person connects to the subtle flow of spiritual energy moving through their body, they break free of negative, resistant energies. They connect, once again, with energy that expands their awareness of how to move through the dense nature of physical existence. Negative thoughts and feelings are like a whirlpool in the river of life. They suck us down and away from higher consciousness and awareness, the love and joy that is our birthright. In a 2-D world, we are told that everything is the result of visible cause and effect. Is it? Or does the cause of events lie outside our point of view, and beyond the view of society’s overarching demands. For example, if we pick up a rock and throw it at a window, does the window break because of the rock, or because of the thought or emotion that animated us to pick up the rock in the first place? What is the real cause of the event? What emotional, mental, psychic and even spiritual patterns do we hold that create the real “cause” of that event? Once we break out of the thinking pattern of the 2-D world, we move into the higher realms of consciousness. There are many higher dimensions, spiritual leaders say that we can connect to and experience through the specific language of those dimensions. For example, we can communicate through emotion and color in the 4th dimension, sound in the 5th dimension, light in the 6th and ultimately reach Source or Beingness in the 7th dimension. Coming into contact with the 7th dimension brings us into contact with experiences that reunite us with feelings of love, joy and harmony. By contrast, a negative thought, hooked to a negative emotion, blocks this flow. It can engender a negative action… or inaction. We hear a call for help and don’t respond. We feel a need to react, but don’t. Trapped in a spiral of negative energy we sense life flowing around us as we make another downward turn. Breaking free of that downward spiral requires an act of focused attention. It’s a subtlety that often slips through the cracks of our 2-D cause and effect life and invites us to step beyond our knowing. In turn, our knowingness expands. Moving through the first decade of the 21st Century, we humans are now in a cycle of evolution that enables us – as we become more aware of whom we really are -- to expand our abilities and to express ourselves more fully. Who are we? What can we become? As we break free of negativity and reconnect to the healing power of our true nature, we find ourselves becoming a healing force on the planet. And there are millions of us. Every point of activated life, and light, can become – and is – a master point. That is, a point where the energy of the Cosmos fully expresses itself. If the Earth has an unseen flow of energy moving through its grid system, then we can help boost that worldwide circulation of higher energy when we take steps to free ourselves of physical, mental, and emotional energy blockages. Each action we take that flows in resonance with this energy then becomes a right action. Fully conscious actions create enormous resonance. Reminding us Zen poet Paul Reps says, “Drinking a cup of green tea, I stopped the war.” In other words, it may only take a small number of dedicated people, among the billions now living on Earth, to shift the world out of its downward spiral and lift it energetically toward a more conscious way of living on Earth. “Sacred tools can support us in this process,” reminds Hoag. According to the article “Spiritual Experiences of Gay Men and Lesbians,” “Gay men and lesbians face a unique challenge as they approach most traditional Western religious organizations. Since their sexual orientation is often judged as sinful, they are frequently given an indirect or overt message that they are not welcome and cannot participate in religious activities. This rejection arises in part because most contemporary institutions do not have accurate or complete information about the gay or lesbian experience and are largely uninformed because of rigid theologies that rely on judgment rather than love and understanding (Barzan,1992). These experiences often take gay men and lesbians away from religious institutions that
would have them compromise their spiritual values and their personal integrity. It has been our collective personal and professional experience that, in fact, the spiritual experiences of gay men and lesbians frequently mirror those of non-gay persons. Many participate in traditional religious organizations, others seek out more individual and creative expressions of their spirituality, and some belong to alternative groups such as “new age” religions and paganism, including Wicca (the practice of witchcraft). Those who participate in traditional groups may identify themselves as gay or lesbian, but many remain safely in the closet, perhaps not understanding the personal harm that accompanies such internalized oppression. Some abandon all spiritual experience because they either accept the judgments of others or find such activity too complex and painful to confront. A fundamental struggle is for gay men and lesbians to find ways to overcome the clash between homoprejudiced religious institutions that assert their authority and personal spiritual experiences that connect them with a Supreme Being who offers love and acceptance....Understanding that metaphysical experience takes many forms and what we call spirituality and religiosity may be quite different experiences allows the client to add flexibility to previously rigid positions. Futurist Ray Kurzeweil (The new Director of Engineering at Google.) uses the term ‘The Singularity’ to represent the point at which self-upgrading technological super intelligence doubles until it hits the point of infinity. Think about this: Our ancestors lived before telephones and trains, and today babies are playing with ipads. This new generation didn’t get to see what life was like before the internet.

Within two weeks, they were singing ABC songs in the village, and within five months, they had hacked Android.” Once we create an AI that can self-upgrade itself, along with other technological breakthroughs such as quantum computing using superposition and entanglement to possibly perform operations at faster than ligh. We have the potential to create artificial intelligence that is trillions of times more intelligent that the entire human civilization combined. This point is an event horizon, a breakdown in our ability to predict what would happen after the development of super intelligence. Perhaps it will even operate outside of time itself, if it is able to communicate with itself back in time on the quantum level, perhaps it would then be able to do effectively an infinite amount of computations in one second. In the diamond age, money doesn’t matter. we will have entered a post-scarcity economy, with free food and free energy. Remember the replicator from star-trek? Humanity is almost at that point already, with 3D printers, and nano 3D printers becoming more advanced daily. We will soon be able to use nanotechnology to disassemble matter on the molecular level and reconfigure it. You could turn trash into a diamond, or turn those diamonds into bananas and eat them! Is a spiritual singularity near? As our technology advances, so does our understanding of the spiritual universe, it seems. The growth and change are inevitable. We are predicted to evolve into Trans-humans, merging with the machines. As Spiritual Experiences are biological experiences, there are indications that before we arrive at the technological singularity that we will be undergoing a phase of inner development and human evolution. This may be viewed as the earth becoming conscious of itself and it is manifesting through our technology. “The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them.” - Albert Einstein We’ll invent, innovate and create ways to solve the challenges that are ahead of us, I’m not saying we don’t have problems; we do. But ultimately, breakthroughs will enable us to solve our issues. We can stop pollution with new breakthroughs in solar energy, and execute mega-scale engineering to do cleanup on a massive scale. “The chinese word for crisis is also the word for opportunity.” The feeling of fear of the singularity is understandable. This is indeed a huge technological shift on a scale larger than a single mind can comprehend. There are so many unknowns, so many possibilities. One could become overwhelmed and imagine ‘doom and gloom scenarios’ and dream up endless negative outcomes. Many of these concerns are legitimate. Yet, fear is rarely the best way to approach the future. Vernor Vinge, who coined the term technological singularity, claims we can surpass the wildest dreams of optimism. With a million doomsday scenarios about runaway nano-tech and artificial intelligence, I prefer to remain optimistic and focus on awesome possibilities. A wonderful post-scarcity economy, abundant, and filled with peace and prosperity. Reprogramming Your Robots By Frank DeMarco
Y
ou know how frustrating life can be. Our lives may be filled with accidents or diseases. Physical or emotional injuries may affect us for years, even decades. We may wrestle with depression, and anger, or may find ourselves feeling spiritually devastated, forcing ourselves to go on, day by meaningless and painful day. All these problems are actually external manifestations of your internal condition. They can be overcome. It’s just a matter of learning how. The key to a fuller, richer life is achieving a greater, richer, more fluid consciousness. That’s easy to say, I know, but it’s also surprisingly easy to do. It is a matter of reprogramming your robots. What follows stems from the following premises. 1. Every problems is an opportunity, because external events always illuminate our inner world. 2. There are no accidents, and no victims, villains, or innocent bystanders. Therefore, it makes no sense to blame others (which puts us into helpless victimhood), or make excuses, )which keeps us stuck), or explain things away as “chance” (which disguises our own responsibility). When life presses a button, internal mechanisms deliver programmed responses, which sometimes seem mental, sometimes emotional. I call these automatic responses robots. A “robot” is made of your own psychic stuff, of course. What else could it be made of? Robots are the managers of learned behaviors that function automatically. Robots are easily defused. Better than that, they are easily turned to operate on your behalf. In fact, that’s what they think they’re already doing! The only thing necessary is to contact them and inform them of what you want. Reprogramming your robots is the secret of self-transformation. All we need to do, to reshape our lives, is to identify old behaviors that no longer serve us, call them into active consciousness (which means feeling the circumstances that gave birth to them, not merely thinking about them) and updating their instructions. The chief difficulty is usually finding the cause of the problem. Once the problem is identified, it’s pretty simple to deal with it. An accident, an illness, an injury, means something. But what? Ask. Work from the assumption that robots are doing what they think you want and need. Ask, what is this mirroring? What does it do for me? Try to find out what it’s all about. Then, decide what you want to do about it. Do you prefer to live with it or without it? If

SOUND AND VISION Stelios Vassiloudis is a Greek producer/DJ that’s etched a name for himself in Europe and other countries. He’s made massive releases off of Bedrock, Moodmusic and recently been featured to mix JOHN DIGWEED’s “Underground Sound of Miami Series 2”. Over the years he’s used many monikers, and collaborated with friends/producers to create WIRETAPPEUR. Stelios was nice enough to answer some questions for us and check out what he has to say! How did you first get started into producing electronic music? Accidentally more or less! I had been jamming with a friend of mine who worked at a recording studio, with a view to convincing him to set up a rock band. We started discussing our influences and music we were currently into and somehow we went from jamming on two electric guitars to trying to recreate JAMES HOLDEN and SASHA in the studio. In hindsight, the first few things we made were pretty awful but we found our “voice” pretty quickly and got lucky by getting some of our music picked up by decent labels. How was WIRETAPPEUR first formed? I met NILS NURNBERG and FLORIAN KRUSE through a label I used to work with and run after I approached them for a remixing job and our friendship and working relationship just evolved from there onwards. The first time we worked on something in the studio together was another accident, they were visiting Athens for a gig and we just started messing around in the studio… Things just clicked between us and we ended up making an entire EP. Again, we got lucky, as the track got picked up by a fantastic label and was well received. How were you introduced to JOHN DIGWEED and his label Bedrock? The label manager at the first label I signed my music to now works for Bedrock. We’ve become friends over the years and he usually lends his ears and gives me feedback for my new productions. I guess he liked some of the stuff I was doing at the time and he decided to forward it to John. So you could say it was mostly just luck. How did your release party for your recent release mix of Underground Sound of Miami go? And how was it that you were approached by JOHN DIGWEED to do this mix? It was a mixed bag to be honest. The sound system crapped out on us before the party even got started and it took about two and a half hours to get it to work again. Apart from everyone’s set getting

you may not of heard of him, but you soon will cut short, the people waiting outside were quite irritated and I heard of a few instances where they were treated rather “unprofessionally” by the club staff. In any case, regardless of whose fault it was, I got the feeling the vibe was a little off on the night. I’m very happy people still turned up though, especially with so many other great options for the night! As for mixing the CD, I just got asked by the Bedrock label manager if I had the time and was interested in doing it. I guess all their other options were too busy! LOL Can you tell us more about “Underground Sound of Miami”? When asked to do this mix by John were the tracks already selected for you and you were just asked to mix the tracks together? Yes, John had already selected the tracks beforehand. The way it usually works is he selects tracks that have been working for him on the dancefloor and that he is able to sign and make exclusive

Mexican Spirituality and Motherhood Continued from page 13 Malinche and La LLorona are typically portrayed as long-suffering mothers. Our Lady of Guadalupe, or the Virgin Mary, however, has become the prototypical model of motherhood in Mexico. According to tradition, the Virgin Mary appeared in Mexico City on the hill of Tepeyac, where the Aztecs revered the mother goddess Coatlicue, from December 9 to 12, 1531. In her appearance to Juan Diego, a Mexican Nahuatl-speaking indigenous person, the Virgin Mary appeared pregnant, while surrounded by the sun and crushing a snake, and it is believed her pregnancy was also the result of heavenly intervention. Confused and frightened by the apparition, Juan Diego was assured by the Virgin Mary with the delivery of the following message: “Do not fear sickness or anguish. Am I not here, I who am your mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? ” These words are no etched on the entrance to the national shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary in Mexico City where she is revered as the Patroness of Mexico and Mexicans commonly referred to her as their mother. This devotion has resulted in a ubiquitous spirituality that attaches motherhood a divine role. Mexicans have a national holiday on December 12 when they celebrate the Holy Mother of God at this national shrine. This religious practice attracts millions of devotees every year and it is especially strong among Mexican indigenous people who devoutly pray using a rosary and repeatedly uttering the words: “blessed is the fruit of thy womb.” The Yaqui from the Mexican State of Sonora have fused the concept of the Virgin Mary with the Yaqui myth of Itom Aye (Our Mother). The Tarahumara indigenous peoples of the state of Chihuahua have assimilated the Virgin Mary into their pre-Columbian moon deity of Our Mother. The widespread Marian devotions have also contributed to the origin of marianismo, a Mexican belief system partly inherited from the Spanish family structure where the father is seen as supreme and absolute while the mother as self-sacrificing while emulating the Virgin Mary. Women are believed to be spiritually superior to men in their moral integrity and spiritual strength to self sacrifice in their sacred roles as nurturers of children and supporters of their husbands. In the the Labyrinth of Solitude Mexican Nobel laureate poet Octavio Paz asserts that the history of the Mexican people is grounded in an understanding of Mother as a ‘long-suffering Mexican mother.’ Small chapels, churches and home altars usually display the Marian avocation of La Dolorosa, or the Sorrowful Mother. This artistic representation of the Virgin Mary depicts her as draped in black in a state of mourning. Mexican mothers consider her their spiritual mediatory or intercessory in times of need. Religious imagery of motherhood in Mexico is pervasive and it generally includes a mystified woman who is very protective and religious and who adheres to notions of patriarchy while consigned to traditional roles. It is important to note that this conceptualization of spiritual conceptualization of motherhood is most likely endorsed by traditional Catholic populations. Whereas one might consider these roles as powerless and oppressive, mothers occupy a significant role in Mexican society, and a particular dominant position in the family hierarchy. Transmission Meditation — a potent method of service By Benjamin Creme The following article was transcribed from Benjamin Creme’s talks on Transmission Meditation given in Nagoya and Osaka, Japan. Meditation is, depending on the meditation, a means of contacting the soul, and of eventually becoming at-one with the soul. That is the basic purpose of meditation of any kind. Transmission Meditation is a way of serving the world. Unlike many other forms of meditation, it attracts to it only those people who have a desire to serve. This desire to serve manifests itself in an individual only when that person has made some degree of contact with his or her own soul. This is because it is the soul which desires to serve. Transmission Meditation provides a simple, easy form of very potent service to the world which at the same time is an extremely potent, fast method of personal growth. There are several hundreds of Transmission groups, all over the world, and they meet regularly at a particular time and day, whatever is suitable for the individual group. The groups can be anything from three people upwards. The group meets and sounds together, aloud. By the sounding of this great mantram with the attention focused on the ajna centre (between the eyebrows), a conduit is formed between the group higher energies. These spiritual forces are precisely the energies which are transforming the world right now. Maitreya fills the world with the energy of equilibrium. People talk about auras — brilliant auras and rather dull auras, wide auras and narrow auras. The auras are really the synthesis of all the energies emanating through — into and out of — the chakras up the spine. The more active, the more stimulated these chakras are, the greater the radiation, the wider and more brilliant the aura. This designates the degree of the disciple. This work, leads to very profound changes in the individual. Most people, within six months or a year of starting Transmission Meditation, realize the changes in themselves, recognize that they are becoming a different, a better person. People find that they can experience, and demonstrate, love more easily. They find that their minds are more stimulated and creative. They may find that they have more discipline, more determination, more consistency in their approach to work. A large number of people receive healing, spontaneously, during the Transmissions. The technique involved is very simple and is applicable Transmission Meditation does not interfere with any other form of meditation which you might do. On the contrary, it can only potentize, make more valuable, any other meditation. It is absolutely safe. It is potent, safe and scientific. All that you are asked to do in a Transmission Meditation is to hold your attention at the ajna centre between the eyebrows. That is all. You will find, however, that your attention will wander from this centre. When you realize that this has happened, you sound, inwardly, the mantram OM, or think OM, and your attention will come back automatically to the ajna centre. Holding the attention at the ajna centre produces an alignment between the physical brain and the soul. The energies are sent from the level at which the Masters habitually work: the soul level (the buddhic level, to be precise). While that alignment is held, the Transmission will take place. There is no Being in the cosmos not involved in transmitting energy from levels above to levels below them. We live in an energetic universe. That energy, from however high a level, is being transmitted, stepped down, received; transmitted, stepped down, and received, throughout cosmos. SPIRITUAL TECHNOLOGY Reprogramming Your Robots Continued from page 19 you can’t seem to get rid of it, ask how you can maximize your life with it. Robots are not the villains of the piece. They are crew, faithful to their mission. But if conditions change and the captain doesn’t think to contact them, or forgets how to contact them, they continue as they were programmed. Reprogramming them is mostly a matter of telling them what we want. Two elements are needed: analysis and contact. This involves three steps. One, get into the feeling behind the robot’s actions. You must be in the feeling to contact the robot. Otherwise, it’s just words and can have no effect. (This I think is why psycho-analysis often fails.) Start with the situation. Feel the injury or the emotion or the condition that you want to heal. You must be in the feeling, or nothing can happen. Two, do the analysis to find out what caused the programming. Remaining in the feeling, ask, “How are you serving me by this?” Or ask, “what is the origin of this?” Wait for an answer. It could come as a memory, or a thought, or a visual. Wait for an answer. When something surfaces, go with it. Don’t demand impossible certainty. Now if you know the origin of the feeling, ask how the origin led to the condition. How did being yelled at unexpectedly as a small child lead to an inability to deal with people’s anger? This is analysis. Some will find analysis easier than getting into the feelings, others will find it harder. But both steps are necessary Ask, how are you serving me with this situation? Not accusation or rhetoric: expect to be told. Receive, being alert, determined, and non-judgmental. Analyze the connection between what started it and how it manifests. Interact with that part of your consciousness, that robot, remembering to meet its needs as well as yours. Send acceptance and love: “Thank you for serving me.” Provide clear instructions. “ I don’t want this now.” Listen to arguments and reassure it. Reprogram it according to what you want. Then, “Thank you for serving me now and in the past”

Three, reprogram the robot to meet your current needs. Do it this way. First, thank the robot for doing what it had been told to do. Next, spell out what you want from it now. If the robot argues, listen, weighty arguments, perhaps propose some compromise, but in the end remember that it is your choice, not the robot’s. Repeat what the robot is to do, and if you have not already done so extend acceptance and love -- it is part of yourself. Thank you again You are who you are, where you are, for a reason. Start where you are. You have no choice about that anyway, but it’s good to know that you’re in the right place at the right time in the right circumstances. Remember, there are no accidents, so everyone and everything is helping you to become aware, everything in your life can be used to assist you to do so. Live joyously and freely. Speak Your Reality Continued from page 14 form combinations of notes. When such notes combine, they unite into a vibrational musical cord or unified sound. Make sense? Certain words, by their very definition, have high intension vibrations while others lower. As we bring deeper awareness into our lives, consciousness tends to transition from a passive state of hearing into an active, participatory level of listening and paying attention. As a result, we become more sensitive to how things feel, such as our own thoughts. We pay attention to the words we select to communicate, how they impact people, and we listen to how the communication of other people affects us. With this new awareness, we suddenly find it paradoxically curious when a friend responds to an invitation to participate in something we thought they would value, by saying “No, I would love to do that,” or “No, that’s a great idea.” Similarly, we begin to feel a drain around a reactive proclaimed goal of “I need to create more money,” or “I should have a better job or career,” or “I have to,” or I must do... (whatever the subject might be).” Occasionally, we feel a sense of joyful empowerment around the excitement of proclaiming “I willcreate more money,” or “I choose to create a better job or career,” or “I want to,” or “I desire to... (whatever the subject might be).” What’s the difference? For a moment let us consider the word “need.” When you think of the word “need,” does it feel closer to the definition of abundance or lack? If as most, you conclude that it feels closer to lack, then let us ask next: If the word “need” is closer to lack, does this word feel closer to the definition of love, or fear? If you conclude fear, as do most, then let us ask does the word “fear” feel closer to response or reaction? If again, if you are like most, you will conclude that the word “fear” feels closer to reaction. This process of logical deduction and the granulation of words’ core definitions ultimately empower the understanding that anytime we or someone speaks the word “need” (should, have to, or must) within the context of a core creative command, then we are commanding into form the future possibility from an intent of fear, lack, and/or reactiveness. This paradox becomes frustratingly apparent when we continue to ask for, or command, a more positive future through using these words that are defined by fear, lack and reaction. In essence, the carrot of our desire seems ever out of reach, though we proclaim it more loudly and forcefully. Now for a moment, let us consider four new command words such as: I will, I choose, I want, or I desire. When you think of using these words to call forth a future possibility, do they feel closer to abundance and empowerment, or lack? If closer to abundance and empowerment, do they feel closer to love or fear? If closer to love, then do they feel closer to response or reactiveness? Choosing command words that reflect the authority of an intent of self-empowerment, reflects conscious awareness and co-creativity. Choosing command words that are based in fear and lack reflect an unconscious choosing from what someone ultimately does not want to create. It is like the hero who wants to leave the village in pursuit of his or her dream, and yet fails to find the courage to take the first step because of the fear of the unknown. Choosing command words that proclaim self-empowerment and authentic choices reflects the wise intent of creating from the end goal of what one actually does want to create. Ultimately, this clear volition is liken to the hero who does leave the village in pursuit of their dream and as they cross the bridge of no return, they courageously turn to it and burn it to the ground, so there is no form of retreat to the past. Their singular commitment is to create from the clarity of what they really do want to create, there is only a looking toward and forward to the future. Humanity appears to be at a pivotal time where we are transitioning from the “persona” -- which in Latin means to “pump air through one’s mask” into becoming the “heretic,” which in Latin means “one who knows that they can choose.” If we listen carefully to our truest inner selves and speak with a greater presence, we can empower ourselves to create exciting new possibilities and become a witness to the reality of our heart’s greatest desire come true.

to this release. The mixed aspect is really just a bonus to give added value for the product to the customers. Physical product is increasingly losing its relevance with the rapid advent of technology so any extras you can add to make it a bit special the better really. There’s quite a bit of amazing Greek producers like Dousk, Christian Cambas, and Aiora. Can you tell us some more up and coming Greek producers to look out for? Yeah, those guys are all great. Christian in particular I’ve known since we were kids and he’s a great producer and a fantastic guy. There are indeed loads of very very talented Greek producers and I’d hate to leave anyone out! Off the top of my head I’d say Siopis, Mihalis Safras, One of Them, Argy, Nikola Gala, John Dalagelis and Axel Karakasis all make fantastic music in their own particular way, even if some of them are more established than others. Can you tell us how the partying and music scene in Greece is? I don’t really go out that much unless I’m DJing at a party. The scene here was quite poor even before the recession, but now it’s just at an all time low. There are
some decent efforts being made by promotion groups such as Evolution and Blend but it’s an uphill battle as there was never really any kind of organic growth or education with regards to electronic music. It was just a sweeping fad where every Tom, Dick and Harry went to a club to get wasted on overpriced booze, pay an arm and a leg at the door and listen to some famous DJ, kind of like what’s happening in the US now. Are there any other future projects going on at the moment with yourself, WIRETAPPEUR, or collaborations with other artists? We have started working on a few WIRETAPPEUR tracks actually as it’s been quite a while since we last put anything out. I’m trying to find some time to complete some other productions of my own as well. To be honest, I’ve been focused more and more on gigging, so my studio time is quite limited. What’s your studio set-up like? Are you still waiting for the mystical Logic X software to be released like the rest of us? Of course! I’ve been a loyal Logic user since day one, so I’m very curious to see what they manage to come up with - especially since the competition is so stiff nowadays. I have a pretty basic DAW. I use Dynaudio speakers for monitoring, MOTU for my interface and everything is run by my Mac Pro. What’s your favorite Greek food that you can’t live without? That’s a tough one! I don’t think there’s any food (Greek or not) that I wouldn’t be able to live without, but I think that things would be significantly less interesting without Greek Olive Oil. It’s in everything! After half an hour, we re-gathered and shared our personal experiences and insights. Roberto spoke of each of us doing spiritual work and healing for millions of others: The ripples we sent out would help transform and heal the world. Then we hiked to the mountain and cave of the mothers. (I had asked Roberto about the hidden Inca tunnels two days ago which he said helped him to decide this was the place to do the ritual.) We did a ceremony, drank our third cup, and went off separately to sit and meditate on past lives. This time Roberto was like a surgeon with a scalpel. He went right to our major stumbling blocks and spoke to how to overcome them. One particular thing he told me hit home. He said I had separated my brain and my heart. Roberto said that, to evolve spiritually, I must begin seeing my brain and my heart as one, leading my life from my heart. It felt so right and true I began to cry with gratitude for the insight. We entered a tunnel, and climbed down a long way. We came to a large open space, and Roberto lit candles and we all drank our fourth glass. Roberto did a long ritual which was sprinkled with Inca wisdom and stories of the Inca pasts. We drank our fifth glass, and we each took a candle to a different part of the room to meditate. As I meditated, I flew to other dimensions. It was a kaleidoscope ride through lives that I might have lived if I had made different choices in my life. These were lives I might have led, and maybe did lead in other realities. After what seemed like years, Roberto gathered us up and we sat in a circle and drank one last glass. Then we climbed up and out of the hidden cave. He made us climb out backwards, almost having to do somersaults, to make our rebirths symbolic and real! I did feel born again, renewed. My heart felt bigger than my chest and my aura felt a mile wide. We hiked to a Huaca, a sacred large rock that was as large as half a football field,

with paths and shelves and carvings all over. Now there were beautiful clouds, and hawks flying overhead. It seemed like butterflies and humming birds were everywhere. Roberto had us lie in a circle and repeat Quechuan magical terms, then led us in visualization and breathing techniques. He told us that we had to feel both the burning hot of the sun and the ice cold of snow – and it began to gently hail with the sun out! Rainbows came. He had us one by one stand on a sacred spot and explode into the Universe. When I exploded, it was hailing hard, and I felt as if my heart expanded miles wide and my spirits traveled for light years! The clouds thickened and the hail turned to a downpour. Fortunately we all had ponchos. We walked to the overhang and Roberto taught us. It seemed we talked and laughed for a week. Roberto repeated these values: Love, the reason for humans to live. Integrity. Unselfish service, which should be our main mission. Living each moment to the fullest, never knowing what the next moment might bring. Gratitude for another day in which to live love and serve. Laughter and humor and humility, all important. He reminded us that there are no evil people, only people living in confusion. There are no people less important than us. If we can help those who have not yet woken up, we must, because we are awake and have knowledge and skills. This does not make us superior. We are all equal brothers and sisters who are privileged to be able to help each other. In a closing ceremony, Roberto recapped the day’s highlights, and made their meaning clearer by interpreting them. Then we hiked towards a beautiful sunset and reached Cusco after dark, to share a pizza. BEAU KISSLER My name is Beau Kissler, I am a soon to be psychology graduate from Sierra Nevada College in Lake Tahoe. I am originally from Maui, HI, where I grew up tuning into the oceanic and jungle elements as much as I could to inform my visionary art. Since then I have been in the beautiful realm of Lake Tahoe, studying Jungian and Transpersonal Psychology. I have conducted research with the Institute of HeartMath (IHM) in California (who primarily study the effects of the electromagnetic fields of the heart on a personal and global consciousness level). My study, entitled “The Heart’s Hand in Creativity: The Effect of Coherence Meditation,” consisted of the effects of their meditation (called the Coherence Technique) upon upon biofeedback and the creative process. I presented a lecture upon my findings at the Stanford Undergraduate Psychology Conference in May 2012 and I am currently working to get this published. I just recently presented a final research project entitled “Synchronistic Navigation: The Coordination of Inner and Outer Realities” which expands upon the role of the heart in the creative exploration of our internal processes and its influences upon our outer day-to-day reality. Overall, this exploration of transpersonal studies has further inspired my gaze inward to find deeper archetypal material of the collective unconscious, from which I allow to pour out onto canvas. I am an acrylic painter first and foremost at the moment. Before that I was an avid charcoal artist. I am currently teaching private drawing lessons and I am considering this as a possible career. My larger goals are to become an intuitive Art Therapist to empower people to look within and heal their psyche through art in order to heal their life. I am also dreaming of the possibility to be involved with the Institute of HeartMath and participate in their global consciousness research. I am very excited to see how everything unfolds!
