La Biblia describe la función del hombre en términos de mayordomo. Dios nos asignó como mayordomos de todo lo que el ha creado, el papel que tenemos es el de administrar las pertenencias de Dios. Debemos servir a Cristo en todo lo que hacemos. Y nuestro trabajo debe reflejar el hecho de que estamos dispuestos a dar a Dios toda la gloria, ya que hemos sido llamados a trabajar en todas las áreas de nuestra vida “como si trabajáramos para Jesús” . Él es dueño de todo y nos ha dado la responsabilidad de cuidar todo lo que ha puesto en nuestras manos: la creación, personas, dinero, cosas materiales, tiempo , y también producir a través de nuestros dones y talentos .
