Cox Farms has been a consignor at this sale since it’s start in 2023, and has been one of the high sellers every year, a true testament to the quality and reputation that comes with them, and this year Barbee is bringing over 20 to us! Over the past decade they have utilized AI to enhance the herd. These females are all home raised, and are from a Sim-Angus cow base. They are strictly fall calvers with a hard cull for open females at preg check. The heifers offered are fully vaxxed with Express 10 2x Prebreeding, get a Spiravac & 7-Way Lepto booster at palpation in addition to Clean Up II, dewormed in the fall and had long range as calves. Don’t miss out on these heifers!
Coming back for their second year is Michael Piercy’s small but mighty bunch. They maximize heterosis by incorporating Angus, Simmental and Gelbvieh genetics. Docility, fertility and growth are the key success factors as to why cows stay in their herd. All heifers exceed the parameters for the Virginia Premium Assured Heifer PLUS level and have been pelvic measured, tested negative for BVDPI and are Bangs vaccinated. K&M run a tight ship for their herd with no second chances. These cattle will work well for you due to their consistent care and attention in Madison County!
If you are looking for a producer that knows what it takes to AI cattle, Keith Figgins is the expert! A longtime ABS rep himself, he is bringing forth some home raised heifers that speak volumes for fertility, functionality, and longevity. Fully vaccinated with all the bells and whistles of an intensely managed program. In a market where sexed semen is starting to pick up, you have an advantage with these heifers to capture the benefits of male sexed semen with these two heifers. These heifers have a fantastic ABS pedigree, and they are sure to be a fantastic addition to your herd.
What a treat Evan is bringing forth this year! Last fall, he called his ABS reps Sarah & Jay and told them he wanted to maximize his opportunities to market his heifers for 2025 and had genomic tested all his heifers through Neogen. He wanted to pick out a bull that would compliment his heifers so the buyers would reap the benefits. Out of the entire ABS Angus lineup, Patriarch fit the bill the best for the not only maintaining, but improving both the maternal and terminal indexes, so potential buyers can rest easy knowing the decisions were meticulously made for these heifers with you in mind. These heifers are fully vaccinated, Bangs vaccinated, and have been pelvic measured. A full genomic panel is available on these heifers, and will be available upon request.
If you are looking for Balancer and Gelbvieh influence cattle, Rippey Farms knows how to do it. In 2018, they were awarded Producer of the Year by the AMGVA. They have been a staple in the Carrol/Grayson Mountain Mama Sale for the last 16 years as a premier breeder and consignor. Rippey Farms runs a high conception rate and utilize AI and Synchronization on all virgin heifers. A strict maternal management and intense vaccination program are cornerstones of the Rippey program. They place a strong emphasis on maternal traits without sacrificing growth and performance.

KG Farms is a family farm located in Franklin County. They are a seedstock producer utilizing Gelbvieh and Balancer genetics. Their program philosophy is simple. Fertility 1st, followed by Functionality and Longevity. Heifers were weaned at 10 months onto stockpiled pasture, fed dry hay over the winter, and then supplemented with 6 lbs. of commodity blend through breeding to sale time. Heifers have received the following: 1 round Nasalgen, 2 rounds Bovi Shield Gold L5 and Vision 7, BoviShield Gold FP5 L5 pre-breeding, Vira Shield 6+L5 around 4 months of pregnancy, and dewormed multiple times. Heifers are pelvic measured and PI tested.
Calhoun Cattle started as an Angus based herd in 1989. They have used AI on majority of their cow herd over the years, where they breed for moderate frame, carcass quality, maternal merit, docility and growth. These heifers are some of the best hand selected out of 100 replacements. These heifers were weaned & backgrounded in June and July, and have been on grass and haylage over the winter.
Calhoun Cattle is 100% forage based with calf production every 12 months without supplement of grain or feed. These heifers meet and exceed vaccination requirements for VPAH+.
