letter from the historian Being VJCL Historian for the past year has been one of the best and most rewarding experiences of my life. With this scrapbook/fashion magazine, Virginia’s first digital edition, I hope to share through my scrapbook the passion and JCLove which I observed within the VJCL over the course of my term. VJCL's casual attire lookbook represents those moments of convention when the only priority is having a great time with friends. The line shows the more dresseddown, relaxed, and joyful side of NJCL convention.

VJCLers Merritt Schwartz and Sayeed Akhtar energize General Assembly with Virginia’s roll call, a JCL rendition of Kendrick Lamar’s song “m.A.A.d city.”

At the 2016 NJCL Convention, Virginia had solid success in spirit, due to the passion of its JCLers, along with this awesome collection of spirit T-shirts, props, and accessories, designed by 2nd VP Lucas Dumez.

VJCLers competed in many contests at NJCL 2016, and came out of the convention very successful. This collection showcases the competitors from VJCL, their accomplishments, and their style.

FORMALWEAR At NJCL 2016, a VJCLer, Brier Clough, served as NJCL President, while another VJCLer, Trini Kechkian, was elected NJCL 2nd VP for the upcoming year. All in all, these two amazing VJCLers brought great pride to the state of Virginia, and did so with an elegant, professional style.
