Dr. Fowler is not only a doctor, but also a lawyer and a pilot, receiving his pilot license at age 16. He began Blue Ridge Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2000, which later became Seasons at Kingsport. Dr. Fowler, is married to Melisa and they have three children, Lisa, Elizabeth and Emily.
Dr. Schalau received a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, and earned her MD at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, Charlottesville, VA
Dr. Fowler’s areas of special medical interest include female urinary incontinence, pelvic prolapse and minimally-invasive surgeries.
A member of the Fellow American College of OB/GYN and board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1998, Dr. Schalau brings several years of experience in women’s health.
Renda K. Knapp, MD, FACOG – With a Bachelor of Science degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a doctorate of medicine from the University of South Florida College Of Medicine, Dr. Renda K. Knapp, MD, has years of experience in private practice in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Knapp, a Fellow of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is credentialed in da Vinci Robotic Minimally Invasive Surgery.
Dr. Schalau enjoys scuba diving, hiking, camping and photography with her husband Bob.
In addition to her medical mission work in Tanzania, Kenya, and Ethiopia, she enjoys many outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, mountain climbing and gardening. Dr. Knapp is married to Edson L. Knapp, MD and they have seven children, Rachel, Matthew, Mary Katherine, Hannah, Emily, Eyoab, and Edson. She and her family are members at Highlands Fellowship Church. Daphne Schalau, MD, FACOG – Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Schalau has joined Seasons and is now accepting new patients.
Christy Stevens, DO, FACOOG – Dr. Christy Stevens, a board-certified obestrician and gynecologist, has joined the staff of Seasons of Kingsport Obstetrics and Gynecology. Having received a doctor of osteopathy degree from Pikeville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002, Dr. Stevens served her residency and internship at Grandview Hospital from 2002-2006. Among her memberships are the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Tennessee Medical Association and the American Medical Association.
