Story & Photography by Tony Centonze Crystal Garcia, President of the Fort Campbell Spouses Club has risen to the challenges of this unprecedented year, and continues FCSC’s good work in the community. “This year, we’re doing our best just to keep the camaraderie going,” Garcia said. “Our social events are still happening every month, as much as life will allow.” Everything FCSC does throughout the year is to support local charities, and raise money for scholarships. “Our luncheons are just an opportunity for this community, and all the spouses, to get together, have a little time to talk, and get to know each other. We get to meet and welcome new spouses to Fort Campbell, but we also spotlight a charity each month.” “FCSC’s recent spotlight was on Spring Meadows Senior Living. They gave us a list of items they need,” Garcia said. “We have collected games and puzzles, things that will help them socialize with their families and friends, which has been difficult for them this year.”

“Also, each month we have a different theme, to keep things fresh. Today’s theme is Take Me Out to the Ballgame, so we have ballpark food and we’re doing trivia to keep things fun.”
