Harness Your Intuition (Series 2 of 3) By Irene Martina So how do you learn to harness your amazing intuition? Your intuition sends you information in the following five different ways: 1. The most common is physically. In receiving information through your physical body, you might explain intuition as having a "gut feeling" or "your stomach is in knots." Another popular way is when the hair stands up on the back of your neck. For me, a strong message of awareness is goose bumps. 2. Secondly, and probably more common to women is through emotion. We know instantly when something doesn't feel right or a mood changes and a fast like and dislike of something. In our world today we are often feel pressured to "do something, join something, or buy something" and we intuitively know we should say "no!" - yet we go ahead. Moving forward on this decision often brings regrets. When our first instinct is to reject something, we often cannot explain "why" to someone. To us, it just didn't feel right. This is intuition in action and working for you. 3. Third, we receive information mentally. Our mind often gives us a second voice in the background that says, "No, yes, turn here, etc." Again, we often ignore our intuitive voice and find ourselves caught in a traffic jam or something to that effect. We constantly second guess ourselves and later regret listening to that inner voice. 4. The fourth way we receive is spiritually. For me, this means there is something far greater than us in the universe. When we are connected to this Source, our intuition is greater than anything we can imagine. 5. Lastly, we receive through the environment. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. From my childhood, I was taught to pay attention to symbolism and events as messages being given to us. For example: Your computer ups and quits and you are forced to stop working and look after the problem. Now this can cause stress but I also know that it happened for a reason and I was being told to stop what I was doing. Perhaps you are given a sign to take some time off to do something you may have been putting off for a long time, like updating your insurance policies or call a sick friend. Maybe, it's time to call and connect to a real cute "techie" support guy. I just know that it does not pay to get upset
but, instead, to ask yourself, "Why and what do I need to look at or do? So how do we harness out intuition more? I like to say that finding your intuition is like finding a trail. In this case the T.R.A.I.L (an acronym) represents the following: T- Trust: the information you get when you get it. Try to think back to times when you did pay attention to your intuition and recall what you experienced. As you recall your successes, you will eagerly and confidently trust your ability and inner voice more and more to make the correct decisions for you. R- Relax your mind: Make "why not and what if?" two of your favorite questions. Give yourself time to do crossword puzzles, and play more games to keep your mind open to new things and ideas. Meditation is very powerful in helping you hear your inner voice and to relax more. A- Awareness: Intuition can be so subtle that we often miss its messages, so live your life consciously and be more aware of your thoughts. We cannot hear our intuition speaking if we do not learn to stop the chatter in our mind or find some quietness. Suggestion- shut off the radio, CD player and stereo when you are alone in the car or at home so you can hear your inner voice better. I- Imagination: This is the ability to think outside the box, which is very helpful in developing your intuition. Here are a few ideas: - When you get dressed each day, ask your self why did you choose the red suit or the blue dress? Colors carry energies and we choose them because we need its energy at that time. Ask yourself what that color means to you. Does red make you feel confident, powerful, relaxed and assured? Does blue make you feel more feminine, softer, more attractive and perhaps serene and peaceful? L- Listen: Intuition is not logical. If we are caught up in our lives we cannot give our intuition a safe place to work and hear its message. Have you noticed that if you let go of ego, fears, or any negative thoughts, you get better results with hearing your intuition?

It seems the world has become smaller due to advancements in technology and the inception of the Internet. The Violet Ray introduced it’s website in the last issue which has allowed us to bridge the distance barrier to places we otherwise would not be able reach. So far, we have had visitors from 32 countries. Our interactive columns – “What’s Above with Clairvoyant Kim” and “Ask Dr. Evers” – have been a catalyst to help propel people forward by providing them with comfort, clarity and answers to the questions they seek. The Art of Fashion Feng Shui By Arlana Tanner The Eastern philosophy of positive energy flow is no longer just for furniture or homes. Now, there is a new twist on an old tradition. The concept of Feng Shui has been redefined to be used on a much more personal level, transforming how we dress and what we attract into our lives. The fact is, everything from your hairstyle to the style of your shoes affects your personal “chi” (personal energy), and can be enhanced by the use of Feng Shui. This enhanced concept is called Fashion Feng Shui and, earlier this year, I traveled to Boston to train as a Fashion Feng Shui facilitator. I had the opportunity to train under Fashion Feng Shui creator Evana Maggiore, whose background lead her to develop a self-empowerment system that will connect you to your true essence by dressing with intention. Maggiore is both a Feng Shui Master and an international award winning Image Consultant. Maggiore and her business partner, Louise Elerding, began applying Fashion Feng Shui to personal appearance and style in the late '90s, which they describe as a holistic method for creating harmony and balance in appearances.
Learning to use this energy in your life is very powerful in many ways. Just as you can change the energy of your environment to attract positive energy, the same is true of your most intimate environment, the clothing that you wear. Individuals project a certain "aura" based on how their organic color scheme mingles with the energy of various colors. According to Fashion Feng Shui, people are mirrored in nature and their coloring (hair, skin and eyes) is reflected by the colors of these elements: water (black and dark tones); wood (blues and greens); fire (reds); earth (yellows and browns) and metal (whites). Individuals can be a combination of the following schemes: Water -- If you have very dark hair, skin and eyes, you may be perceived to be mysterious, exotic, or sensual. Your organic neutrals: black and dark tones Wood -- Blue or green tints to eyes, hair (ash) or skin (olive) link you with the energies of heaven (blue sky) and earth (green plants). You may be perceived as approachable and natural. Your organic neutrals: blues and greens Fire -- If you have red tones to your hair, skin and eyes, you naturally attract attention. You may be perceived as dazzling, warm or exciting. Your organic neutrals: reds Earth -- If your hair, skin and eye colors evoke the richness of golden fields of grain, you may be perceived as stable, conservative and familiar. Your organic neutrals: yellows and browns Metal -- If your coloring is very pale or silver-toned, you may be perceived as refined, delicate or aloof. Your organic neutrals: white, pastels, grey. Everyone is a combination of these energies. It’s exciting and fun to learn how to use them every day to find balance and harmony in your life. This is the most powerful self-image tool I have ever come across. It pulled all the elements of my style together and has helped me to attract wonderful opportunities into my life. W hat’s Above With Clairvoyant Kim
I always wanted to know what it meant when you get the shivers or goose bumps when you are talking about or thinking of someone who is passed over? ~ Julie S., Vancouver Island, B.C. ~ Great question. The shivers that you feel are validation that the spirit that you are wondering about is in your presence. The soul is actually breezing by you, and you are feeling their vibration. It can feel like someone is walking up your back or spine. It is a soul’s way of letting us know that they have received your thoughts about them. How can I know who my spirit guide is? ~ Janine H., Calgary, Alberta ~ I believe that our spirit guide is the person that you have that inner dialogue with. It is your soul or higher self. I don't feel that they are a separate entity or separate from us. When any of us want answers about ourselves, where do we turn? We turn inward. That is where all the answers about our selves reside. We are being guided all the time, with every decision, every choice; we just have to listen to that inner voice that lies in all of us. If a person is having trouble hearing the voice inside them, then they are simply thinking too much. The noise of the world will drown out the voice of God or Spirit if you let it. This is one reason why meditation is so important. Practice emptying your thoughts so that you can hear the advice and guidance that is there for you. It is NEVER wrong. It is your compass, your guide and your navigator; you never have to make a decision alone. I had a strange feeling that someone was watching me one night when I was in bed. My husband passed away two years ago, could it have been him? ~ G. Stone., Calgary, Alberta ~ Yes, I am sure that it was. Souls are around us all of the time; there is nowhere for them to go when they separate
from their physical bodies. They are not in some far away land; they are just operating at a vibration that we cannot see with our physical eyes. Babies and pets see them all the time. When we are busy with life, we can miss the subtle signs and clues that they are near, so when we are still and quiet, in bed, in the bathtub, driving alone, etc., that is when souls tend to make their presence known. I am sure that your husband is always close, trying to let you know that he is always near, that he is not as gone as you may think that he is. I saw you last night in Medicine Hat. We are the instruments for this power of universal love. Both work with the principle of intention to create a high energy field. Both have the core truth that no one can heal another anymore than one is able to laugh for him or her. The energy follows the natural intelligence of the receiver’s body to do the necessary healing. During a session, a practitioner who has learned both modalities can move between Reiki techniques and Quantum-Touch techniques with ease and grace. How are they different? The method of raising the life-force energy differs. Reiki instruction involves initiations or attunements that are a catalyst to trigger the student’s natural and innate ability to be a clear and open channel, vessel or facilitator of the healing energy to be drawn through by the receiver. Reiki involves symbols. To understand symbols think about the yin-yang symbol, the peace symbol of the ‘flower children’ of the 1960’s, and the Om symbol/mantra and their purpose. The student is taught that the energy will be drawn to where it is needed and in the amount that is needed by the receiver’s body intelligence. Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy. Quantum-Touch instruction is based on information in the text, “Quantum-Touch –The Power to Heal” by Richard Gordon. The centre for Quantum-Touch is in California and certification comes through this centre. All classes around the world are advertised on the web. The focus for the student is specialized breathing techniques and self body awareness techniques. Another focus is to ‘chase the pain’. During the class the students will observe bones that have been out of alignment, such as hips, occipital and vertebrae, moving into natural alignment. The student naturally remains very ‘in the moment’ and grounded with constant attention to one of the breathing styles, body awareness techniques and thoughts of love, beauty or joy. The student brings the life-force energy very high and the receiver matches that frequency and thus the receiver heals self. This is termed resonance and entrainment. The motto: love is valuable, powerful and has impact. In conclusion, both Reiki and Quantum-Touch are wonderful gifts to humanity, the animal and planet kingdom and this beloved planet. By Dr. Anne Marie Evers Dear Dr. Evers My Aunt Betty just called and shared some wonderful news with me. She had been affirming for a life partner and she found him! They are living in Germany and they just got married. She emailed me some pictures. When looking at her beautiful wedding pictures a lump welled up in my throat and I was shocked to discover I was experiencing a negative feeling of envy, thinking thoughts to myself like, “Why not me? What is wrong with me? Why haven’t I met my special person,” etc.? I have been doing a form of Affirmations but not in the way you teach—sort of a ‘hit and miss’ way. I’ve been reading your column in the Violet Ray Magazine about Affirmations and now I have decided to start trying to do your method of Affirmations, half wondering if they will work. Is this displaying negativity on my part? I am not really sure if I am ready to have that relationship. I know I need to forgive but I am experiencing a rash of hurt feelings, anger and jealousy about my 25-year marriage break-up. It is a double whammy for me as my ex-husband Herb is now with my 'so-called' good friend Debby. So in effect I lost two people who were very close to me. Do I need to clear that negative energy around and in my heart before starting to do Affirmations? Do you have any magic formula for this? I am in desperate need of help. Thank you in advance.
~ Susan, Home Business Operator, Calgary, AB ~ Dear Susan: Thank you, thank you, and thank you for your email. And yes I do agree this is a very big trust issue for you. However your keeping that hurt, anger and disappointment inside you is certainly not affecting your ex-husband or ex-friend. It is only adversely affecting you and keeping you from living your life in a happy and fulfilled way. The past is the past and let’s leave it there. You can go back for a visit but do not take up lifetime residency. Learn from any lessons and then go on. It sounds like Herb has already moved on. I suggest that you really go within and decide if you are ready and you really want another intimate relationship at this point. Also when doing the Affirmation Process we never just ‘try’ we do it. It is very important to have and maintain a positive mental attitude when doing your Affirmations. I really don’t have any magic formulas, but I do have what I call a Magic Forgiveness Cup Emptying Exercise for forgiving.

This Forgiveness Exercise must be done for a minimum of 21 days (as it takes 21 days to make a habit). You can do this exercise both in the morning and evening. Do whatever you feel in your heart is right for you. Mark off the 21 days on the calendar. If you miss a day, it is best to start the process all over again.
Cup-Release Method (Forgiveness) One reason this exercise works so well is that water represents emotion. For optimum results, perform this exercise every morning and evening. If possible, get a cup or mug that belonged Herb. If you don’t have one, print his name on masking tape and stick it on the cup. Sit with the cup in your hands and visualize all negative feelings surrounding him and your broken marriage dripping into the water from your eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. Make sure that you FEEL your emotions when doing this exercise. When you feel the exercise is complete, take the cup to the sink and pour out that water, saying the following Affirmation. “Herb, I now pour out all my negative feelings, emotions, disappointments, anger, frustration and hurts concerning you, your betrayal and our marriage break-up out of my heart, life, and being. I pour them out with love*. I release you completely and freely and let you go. You are free. I am free. I now release and dissolve any and all negative feelings that I have for you. I release any anger, disappointment, resentment, jealousy, guilt, or hate. As I pour this water down the drain, with my negative feelings in it, I know I can never get it back. It has gone with the water down the drain. I now successfully live my life without you. I NOW have and enjoy a healed heart and I am at peace, to the good of all parties concerned. Thank you, thank you, thank you.” * If you cannot honestly feel love, then feel the Divine Love of God. When the cup or mug is empty, just say, "Healed heart and life." Susan, I would suggest that you do the above exercise first with Herb for 21 days and AFTER you have finished it and you feel that it is complete, do this exercise for releasing Debby.

Forgiveness Exercise for Debby “Debby, I now pour out my negative feelings, emotions, disappointments, anger, frustration, feelings of betrayal and hurts concerning you, our friendship and break-up of my marriage out of my heart, life, and being. I pour them out with love*. I now release and dissolve any and all negative feelings I have for you. I release any anger, disappointment, resentment, jealousy, or hate. As I pour this water down the drain, with my negative feelings in it, I know I can never get it back. This negativity has gone with the water down the drain. I am NOW happy and peaceful to the good of all parties concerned. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
One Reader's Experience One reader, Donna, described her experience with this exercise. “I was so angry at my ex-husband Eddy for leaving me for a woman half his age and a huge debt load, which he does not acknowledge. I filled a cup with his name printed on it with fresh water every morning and tipped it out for 21 days. I said, “I let go of my emotional bond to you and any and all negative feelings,” as I poured it down the sink. The first day, I got butterflies in my stomach and did not want to continue doing the exercise, but I persisted. By the end of the 21-day period, it worked! I saw him in a different light. Gone were the rose-coloured spectacles and that deep, penetrating hurt. Since I performed this exercise, my energy has completely changed. Now I feel alive, attractive and full of life. It is great! Thank you so much. Your Affirmations book came into my life for a purpose. Finally, I just wanted to add that I was really scared of letting go. I really did feel Eddy was the one and only love of my life. In one short month, I have found out I was wrong. There are so many exciting and interesting people and opportunities out there that I was missing because of my unhealthy obsession with him. Once again, many thanks. I am now working on an Affirmation for a loving, lasting, faithful relationship with the perfect man for me.
Forgiveness is very powerful. When you forgive, your energy changes the physical structure of your cells and DNA. When you are embroiled in guilt, shame, or depression, you close down the energy systems of your body. All types of negative problems can erupt. Forgiveness is a process of untangling mental and emotional parts of your being. If you have become tangled up in the negative energy of another person or situation, now may be the time for you to forgive. Forgiveness also reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, increases well-being, and promotes good health. It can also reduce the risk of cancer and other diseases. Forgiveness is private. It is not necessary or advisable to tell people that you are forgiving them. Forgiveness is not ego, although some people say forgiveness is selfish because it largely benefits the person doing the forgiving.
Releasing Negative Emotions We have all experienced being hurt by another person. When angry hurt is not expressed, it leaves pain inside, which invokes negative energy. When you are full of negative energy, hurt, and bitterness, you can experience emotional and physical pain. You can always search for and find something to feel hurt about. Some innocent, harmless remark or gesture can become a source of deep pain. When you feel hurt about the actions of another person or a certain situation, you form an emotional attachment to them. Go within and find the original source of the hurt, own it, then release it into the Universe. Ask that it be recycled into divine love. Forgiveness is a choice—as is not forgiving. When you do not forgive another person, you remain energetically connected or tied to them. When you forgive others, you break those ties and allow them to move on with their lives — and you to move on with yours. What will be Y O U R Choice?

Forgiveness - An Everyday Challenge for Some People Forgiveness is putting your thoughts in line with the Laws of the Universe. I speak to many people whose faces show resentment, anger, and bitterness. I know there is a forgiveness problem. Why is it so difficult to forgive? Nature does not have a problem forgiving. The human body is busy all the time, forgiving and healing. When you cut your finger, it does not stop and say, “No, I am not ready to forgive you; you have been a bad person.” Your body immediately begins to repair and heal itself. Dream Time Herbs By Abrah Arneson CHT Bears are frequently associated with herbal medicine. They have an uncanny ability to find medicinal plants, dig up the roots and use them for their well being. Bears are also great dreamers. As the bear sleeps through the winter, having made a bed of leaves, she dreams of seasons yet to come. Lessons o f t he D rum "Wings" By Nadine Gordon I am traveling the middle world from west to east. I know that I am from earth but not of it. Today, though, I must join my human family, as it is a time of celebration. The eagles are crying out in disdain. Their shrill whistles permeate the air as I temporarily exit the higher realm. Their piercing screams remind me that they will continue to support my efforts to rise above human drama and past mistakes. I remember the lessons I’ve progressed through then breathe through self-doubt, illusions of fear and vanity. My family is very unassuming. They accept me for who I am. I am the one who self judges. I am very hard on myself so I prefer not to take on someone else’s illusion of who I am. Ego is hard to be rid of; however, ego demolishing makes you wise. It is very humbling. It is hard to be a leader because people want to follow those who are wise or humble. Sometimes they put you up on a pedestal that is impossible to maintain. I have no desire to be on that type of a pedestal. I prefer to simply be myself. Although I have a strong desire to be the best that I can be, my preference is just to be happy doing what ever it is that I’m meant to be doing at the time. Now, if that led to an invitation to stand behind a podium for a sharing of mutual empowerment, I would be very accepting and grateful for the opportunity. This would allow all involved to achieve victory and freedom because we all chose to be present in order to experience the joy of shared wisdom. I like to share. This is what I try to teach to others. But they don’t understand. I say to them, “I cannot be your leader. I may be able to assist you during your journey but you must follow your own lead. Be an individual and revel in your differences. Share as you are guided. This is what it means to lead by example. This is what it is to be happy, joyful. This is the true essence of love. Love yourself. Take the small steps.” Unconditional love means that you love someone no matter what. You understand that people have their own ideas, perceptions and path in life and you are okay with that. Sometimes you see, hear, feel and know things about their choices prior to the actual unfolding of them. Being at peace means that you quietly observe without judging another’s path. To begin with, peace can be difficult because it is necessary to rise above human drama and pain. My family has done well. I honor their choices. Some of them have traveled a very long road. They are wise. We share tidbits of information we have learned along individual paths. This helps lessen confusion. Many family members have earned their wings and some have earned feathers. It is definitely a time to celebrate. Enjoy your life, share with

your family. Remember, unconditional love isn’t selfish, possessive or attached. These things bring insecurity and weakness. Be pure of heart. Recognize your imperfections and be at peace with them but work at them when they arise. Be humble. Give thanks for your life and for all of creation; this will free you from anxiety, fear and doubt. Earn your feathers. Become free. Through my lessons with the drum, I have gained wisdom and learned humility. My quests for freedom have allowed me to earn feathers that afford renewed strength for travel. It seems that I have evolved. I have managed to gain enough feathers to fly to the next stage. Sometimes when we progress in life it is necessary to let things go or incorporate them into a new area of our life. So it is with the “Cosmic Revolution” and “Lessons of the Drum” articles. Perfect love is the love of the Creator, the Source or God Principle that is individualized in each person. The name of God given to Moses as ‘I AM THAT I AM’ illustrates what the Source is. Our spiritual goal in life is to be. We have an I AM Presence of God which is our own portion of the I AM. When we say “I AM” we are saying, “God in me is …”. The love of the I AM is perfect love. It is impersonal love in that it is the cohesiveness of all creation. Without love there is disintegration and decay. The vibrational quality of love is what holds together the molecules of all created substance.

The cosmos was created by perfect vision and sound, in love. What is visualized creates and what we gaze upon comes into manifestation in our world. God sees only perfection, for if God saw imperfection the cosmos would disintegrate. Perfect love becomes personal via the Cosmic Christ, the Light of God that enters our hearts as our own Holy Christ Self. The Christ means the Christos, the anointed one in the Light. It is this Divine Light within our hearts that casts out fear and brings illumination and peace of mind. Dr. Marilyn Barrick, author of the book Sacred Psychology of Change, writes about the method of meditation in the heart called "HeartMath". There are no excuses for crime but can we try to understand them to prevent others? I wondered where each of us could go for answers. But once knowing the answers, does it help or does it give us more uncertainty? -JJ . C . Short Story - Writing for Leonard Thoughts from an Institution Closeness was never something that I could handle. I didn’t even look at a girl; well, none ever talked to me or gave me the time of day. It didn’t bother me, but what it did was make me angry. I wasn’t ugly or a jerk but what I was was better than everyone else, ha really. No one knew my mind or what I could do behind his or her back. They didn’t care about me so they didn’t see me. Now don’t get me wrong. I wasn’t bad. I was just smarter; very smart. Okay, not the school smarts; no one really cares about that, right? Well, I don’t give a damn and everyone should think like me. I was a good kid, a real good kid. My parents never gave me crap. They just left me alone. Too smart of them, I guess. I liked it that they left me alone. I remember coming home from school or from the mall after I played hooky for the day, eating what I wanted and having free rein with the TV. It was black and white then but it was still good enough. I ate whatever; mainly beer and sandwiches. My parents didn’t say one word. Dad was usually at the local beer place and Mom; she just sat and stared out the window. It was like she was waiting for something. Who knows? I had many friends, well, drinking buddies. Their parents didn’t give a damn where they were. Their parents let them stay at my place all weekend, no problem, and the flow of other goodies sure found their way there also. I didn’t try to stop it because when my buddies were happy, I was happy. My parents were too busy to drop by our fun-filled nights and days. I think most of my friends’ parents were busy golfing or going to the pub, too. I don’t know why they didn’t think to join in. They surely would have enjoyed themselves.
Did I make it to college? Well, why? I did go once I had all my ducks in a row and it was only because the old man croaked and left me his insurance money. I had nothing else to do but take a few courses. My buddies thought it was because I liked the girls. Well, I can’t say for sure. I was alone so many times in my life. I felt that people just left me; left me to do my own thing and they didn’t care. I mean really care. Well, they must have thought I was doing well on my own because they left me alone, never punished me, never said ‘no’ to me. So, ha, I was good enough because no one ever stopped me. How was I to blame? It was when my world came crashing down. Okay, I was out of work, with no girl, and my buddies had abandoned me for their old “ball and chains”. They had no time for me so, I guess, I was alone. I had my animals but I was still alone. Animals don’t talk back and that is what I liked: no one telling me, “No”, and even if someone did I wouldn’t listen. It was late one evening and this will explain why I am in this damn institution. I was alone; you know, just looking around, not knowing who or what I would find. It was a night that was mine. She didn’t say ‘no’. She was just there like all the others. Now I am here and not anywhere else. One day I will join my buddies and go back to those days when my TV was simple, my favourite food was chips and my favourite creature was Sorcerer, my pet Lab. But, for now, I try to get some reading done and don’t care to watch the satellite TV here or eat the diet recommended for me. I just sit and stare out the window and just wait. We need awareness of what occurs to others because this will have an indirect or direct effect on ‘us’ in the years to come.
I know one can’t worry about what others think or feel. I remember Dad telling me that. It was so easy; I never cared. I didn’t care if I showed up for my pennies-an-hour slum jobs. I didn’t care if the paperboy didn’t deliver the papers I took from him or, well, borrowed from him and didn’t give back. He always looked worried when I came around.

M U N A Y -KK I Submitted By Judy Fiddick The Munay-Ki comes from a Quechua word that means 'I love you' - 'Be Thou as Thou Are.' The Munay-Ki is the nine rites of initiation to become a person of wisdom and power who has accepted the stewardship for all creation. The nine rites are common to all shamanic traditions, even though they are expressed in different forms and styles in different cultures. They derive from the great initiations from the Hindus Valley that were brought to the Americas by the first medicine men and women who crossed the Baring Straits from Siberia during the glacial period some 30,000 years ago. These courageous travelers were the Laika, the Earth keepers of old. The Munay-Ki is the nine gates that heal us and transform our human energy field into that of homo luminous. The prophecies of the ancient Americas speak about a new human appearing on the planet - one who lives free of fear and resides in his or her transcendent nature. The Munay-Ki is the codes for the new human. They are delivered in the form of energetic transmissions. As you receive the Munay-Ki, your chakras will become clear and you'll acquire what the Laika know as the rainbow body. This is when your chakras glow with their original radiance. The nine rites are the sum total of attunements that we go through as we transit from the body of a human to the body of an angel. These rites were first given to ancient teachers by angelic beings, and now are passed on from teacher to student. When an Earth keeper gifts the Munay-Ki to a student, it is the l ineage of luminous beings that transmits itself, that leaps from the head of the master to the head of the student as they lean into each other and touch, forehead to forehead. First Rite: The Bands of Power are five energetic bands representing earth, air, fire, water, and pure light. These protective bands are installed in your Luminous energy field and act as filters, breaking down any negative energy into one of the five elements. The Bands of Power are always 'on' and negative energies bounce right off them. In a world filled with fear, the bands provide essential protection. Second Rite: The Healers rite connects you to a lineage of Earth keepers from the past that come and assist you in your personal healing. Third Rite: The Harmony rites, in which you receive seven archetypes into your chakras. These archetypes are transmitted into your chakras as seeds that you must germinate and help grow. They help combust the psychic sludge so that your chakras can shine with their original light as you acquire a rainbow body. Fourth Rite: The Seer rite installs filaments of light extending from your visual cortex in the back of your head to your third eye and heart chakras. This practice awakens your ability to perceive the invisible world, so that you can see with both the heart and mind, love and intellect.

Fifth Rite: The Day Keeper rites link us to the lineage of Laika Shamen who were masters of the ancient stone altars such as Stonehenge and Machu Picchu. The Day keeper is able to call on the power of these ancient altars to heal and bring balance to the world. Sixth Rite: The Wisdom Keeper rites connects us to the lineage of medicine men and women from the past who defeated death and stepped outside of time. The job of the Wisdom keeper is to protect the medicine teachings and share them with others, when appropriate. This rite helps you to step outside of time and taste infinity. Seventh Rite: The Earth Keeper rites connect us to a lineage of archangels that are guardians of our galaxy. They're reputed to have human form and be as tall as trees. The Earth keepers, who are stewards of all life on the Earth, come under the direct protection of these archangels and can summon their power when they need to in order to bring healing and balance to any situation. The rite of the Earth keepers helps you learn the ways of the seer, and to dream the world into being. Eighth Rite: The Star Keeper rite anchors us safely to the time after the great change that is said will occur on or around the year 2012. According to lore, when you receive this rite, your physical body begins to evolve into that of Homo luminous, the rainbow body. We acquire stewardship of the time to come and all future generations. Ninth Rite: The Creator rite. When you receive this initiation, you awaken the God-light within you and acquire stewardship for all of creation, from the smallest grain of sand to the largest cluster of galaxies in the universe. Although there were individuals who attained this level of initiation and awakened their Christ or Buddha consciousness, it was never possible to transmit these from one person to another, until today. So while Spirit-to-human transmission happened on occasion, human-to-human transmission was impossible until now. The Creator rite was brought forth and gifted to us by Inca elders in the Andes during the summer of 2006. The giving and teaching of these Rites is usually spread out over three classes with enough time in between to process and absorb the energetic information. At the culmination of receiving all nine rites, we are able to dream ourselves into being as homo-luminous beyond 2013. When we can see ourselves living up to our Highest Self, our vibration rises and, when we raise our vibration, we raise the vibration of the planet. We Are The Ones B y Sarah Salter-K Kelly
Each of us holds the key to our own health. Each of us may turn misfortune into gold, disease into transformation, grief into enlightenment. We all, individually and collectively, have power; perhaps more than we may ever be aware of! As humans, we are the creators of possibility and with that power alone we can dream ourselves into being exactly as we choose to be. We are the only ones who hold ourselves back from being who we fully came here to be. It is not the job, the commitments, or the family that slows the process or puts a stop to our becoming. These are simply illusions we have created to PROVE the point, to convince our waiting, inner self that it’s not time yet and that we will be fulfilled later. We will heal when there’s more time to focus; we will live our purpose when our kids are grown; after the promotion; when there’s enough money; sometime down the road. The fact is, the time is never right unless we decide it is right. The fact is, we have a say in all of this. We are co-creating our life with Spirit every day, every moment. And so it is that we are the orchestrators of our wellness... When we feel that “pull from our intuition” - that sense of lifting that calls to us from our inner awareness, we must be attentive to it. When the pull is ignored, denied or put away, it doesn’t disappear. It doesn’t go away because there is no “away”. It is simply pushed down into the body where it remains until it manifests in our spirit, mind, heart, and body and, usually, not in a good way. This tug at our intuition is a gift. It is the first tool we are offered to discover our becoming. We are meant to respond to the tug, to use the tools! They teach us how to heal. There is, however, a problem that is presented by our culture. Our culture has created strong messages, constantly repeated, about whom we should be and what our life should look like and the kind of pursuits that lead to happiness and fulfillment. When we first begin to take hold of our own process of becoming and discover that our inner vision of whom we are doesn’t reflect the culture’s messages (and it rarely does!) then we become afraid to pursue true, inner vision and we abandon the project. We are so attached to the illusion of who we think we should be that we limit the potential of who we are; and our potential is limitless. As we allow ourselves to move out of the head and into the heart, our vision expands. Our awareness and understanding magnifies. We know that believing it REALLY is seeing it! We start to have a deep

understanding that our perspective creates our world. Utilizing the imagery that is meaningful to us to discover and ‘see’ for ourselves what is going on inside presents us with the tools we need for our own continued healing. What do we see? How is the body talking to us? What do we hunger for? How do we envision our healing? The power of imagery acts as a gateway to our subconscious mind. Imagery is the doorway into “non-ordinary’ reality where we may access our truth, our soul, our purpose. It is through this door that shamans have moved for millennia tracking the source of dis-ease. This doorway is old but not forgotten. Our thoughts and the pictures they create are foundational to our wellness. In the summer of 2007, as part of my ongoing learning in the field of alternative medicine and practical mysticism, I took an Intensive class on Alchemical Healing. It was an amazing experience to learn how to help people look into their own body and “see” with their own senses what is needed. Using ancient techniques involving the elements, we can go deep into our psyche to find what is out of balance. For example, we can utilize the earth to provide grounding and to add form, air to inspire, water for flexibility and fluidity, fire to consume what is no longer needed or to add energy and Akasha to inform. Akasha is the basic medium of all creation, containing all information, all possibilities. In this experience, I learned how to discover the ’healing team’the plants, stones, animals and spirit guides that are personally familiar and how to work with them for healing and enlightening purposes. I also learned to pay attention for new ones who appear. It was gratifying to learn how to help others discover and work with their own team (yes, we all have a team!) and to use the power of imagination to “see” who is showing up for them; to recognize that the attraction to a certain stone, plant, animal, or archetype, is a response to an important signal. The stone people, plant people, four-leggeds and guides are always speaking to us; we just need to learn how to hear and then to listen. I watched these techniques used effectively on my classmates and volunteers. There was journeying; moving into chakras to balance them, working with our guides to allow who we are to unfold while releasing any fears or anger that we felt bound by. And, of course, there was exploring and discovering the art of forgiveness. Each

person went away from the experience feeling uplifted empowered and equipped - with solid tools to work with. Though they are ethereal, they are solid!

It is my belief that when we have faith without doubt in our power and ourselves we can heal anything. Knowing we have the power, believing in it and seeking guidance for its use, sometimes by simply asking the silent question and listening for the answer, we will all learn how to take responsibility for our own healing. I read a Hopi prophecy recently. It was titled “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.” For me, it’s right up there with “There’s no time like the present!” When can we each open up to our spirit in the moment? When will we each begin to create a life where we are always of the moment and we feel ‘full’? When will our ability to take initiative within ourselves add to the healing of the planet as a whole?

Claiming Your Space By: Sharyn LeMasurier One of my favorite shows is Trading Spaces. I love to see how creative the designers can be with little money, oftentimes redoing large rooms. Having watched several episodes now, I have seen those homeowners who are either delighted with the changes, horrified at the changes or unsure how they feel about the changes. Since I am currently in the midst of redoing the master bedroom in my house, I am seeking out all the information I can get on the options I have. I also don’t want to be spending a lot of money, but I desire an elegant, peaceful room. Since I am an active Energetic Space Clearing Practitioner, I am aware of the energy of a room and how change influences it, so there are several things I look at before implementing my design changes. Here are some of the ideas I depend on for my home: 1. It is important that the room feels like it belongs to me and not to someone else. 2. It needs to suit the personalities in my home, not just be directly from the pages of a show home magazine. 3. Most importantly, the colors must be able to transfer the feeling and use of my rooms subtly and comfortably. I have gone into many homes and businesses over the past few years to do Energetic Space Clearing. This is the art of moving stuck or residual energy in an environment so the residents are able to feel lighter, breathe easier and have fewer conflicts and emotional issues. I am amazed every time at the unique feel of each property. Since energy imprints itself, I can pick up on whether the previous or current resident was ill, whether there was great sadness, or even if there was a lot of discord in the environment. A new home can tell me what the anxiety level was of the crew who built it, the teamwork that existed, and, again, if there was illness, sadness or other emotions being experienced by the trades people. I have been invited into a variety of environments where the current residents were struggling to communicate, or where the property was newly built and designed for the client, not to mention where the property was newly purchased having been previously owned. In each case, I have been able to feel the residual toxic energies.
When they walked in, the first thing they said to their mother was, “Wow, did you clean the house?” She had not told them I was coming out nor had she cleaned; but they could instantly feel the freshness of the new energy, and she later told me the nightmares and emotional issues had all but ceased. In our society, we usually don’t realize our homes are alive with energy. So, when things are going wrong, it is often the last place we check instead of the first. Thus, changing furniture around, painting, washing windows, or moving house will have an impact on our energy and our relationships. Do you like the house you live in? Do you want to make changes? Are some rooms comfortable while others feel cold? Be sure you are comfortable in your living environment; it has a major impact on your daily life. If buying a new home, get a bit of history on the property. Was there a divorce or a death there? It is important to reveal properties where divorce, for example, has taken place affecting several of the previous owners. This is toxic energy and you want to clear it before you expose your family to the same energetic residue. Love your homes, even name them and be grateful to them for their protection and safety.
