The Club Captain will be responsible for the co-ordination &/or organisation of all Branch events. He/she will be responsible for seeking volunteers to run Branch events The House Manager shall be in charge of operating the branch clubrooms and shall be convenor of any subcommittee formed to maintain and manage the same. The Property Officer will be responsible for the general care and maintenance of the Branch equipment and buildings The Branch must hold all appropriate legal authorisation for the Branch Liquor Licence, and have a member on the premises who holds a Bar Managers Certificate to operate the Licence A quorum of the Branch Committee shall consist of not less than fifty percent of that Committee personally present. The Branch Committee shall have the entire management of the Branch and control of its property and funds and it is empowered on behalf of the Branch to do, execute, and carry out all of the matters and things which the Branch is authorised to do, execute and carry out, but shall so far as is practicable conduct the affairs of the Branch in accordance with the rules of the Club, provided that any financial commitment exceeding the Branch’s gross annual income for the previous year shall require the approval of three-fourths majority of the Branch present personally and voting at any Special General Meeting of the Branch called for such purpose and of which has been given to members. Signatories of the Branch cheque account/s and other negotiable instruments shall be any two of the Treasurer, Chairman or Secretary of the Branch The Committee shall have the power to co-opt members to fill vacancies occurring during the year of office. Non Committee Any non-committee appointments can be made at the will of the committee to assist in the good running of the club. They will attend committee meetings when requested and will have discussion but not voting rights at such meetings The Hon Solicitor & Hon Auditor are appointed at the Annual General Meeting The duties of the above named will be as assigned by the Chairman from time to time. Generally, they will be as follows: The Librarian will be responsible for the good running of the library. Recommending purchases and to see to maintenance of contents The Trophy Steward will keep records of the disposition of Branch trophies The Vehicle Registrar will be responsible for the documentation and inspections as required by the Club Vehicle Identity Scheme The Archivist will be responsible for keeping and maintaining the records of the Branch The Parts Officer will be responsible for the administration of the Branch spares scheme The Grounds Officer will be responsible for the care of any branch grounds The Social Convenor will be responsible for co-ordinating and supervising the catering at Branch events & fundraising The Newsletter Editor shall be responsible for arranging either in person or by delegation the regular publication of information concerning the Branch in its newsletter The Scribe will be responsible for the reporting of Branch events in the club’s magazine Beaded Wheels The Hon Solicitor will give advice and counsel to the committee positions. 14
