NCE SEAFOOD INNOVATION CLUSTER
SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION Our team goal is to improve our partner’s environmental performance in the entire seafood value chain. Our focus is to ensure better coordination and dissemination of R & D initiatives and to strengthen collaboration within the cluster and between cluster actors and external partners. To support our partners, a new Innovation manager and R & D & Innovation Resource Group will be established.
PROJECTS NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN SALMON FARMING One of the Clusters sub-goals is conceptualization and validation of new technologies related to Salmon Farming. The Cluster hosted a workshop at the Aqkva conference in Stord, on new knowledge dissemination and innovation related to post smolt production.
The workshop has resulted in a proposed project of a new “state of the art” RAStechnology pilot facility in collaboration with I-LAB at Marineholmen Sciencepark. This will be an important infrastructure to increase knowledge and training capacity to our cluster partners and future technology development in RAS-systems.
