Vince Premchand Thadani was taking the train from Heidelberg to Hannover, Germany. Germany used to be known for trains that had on-time departures and arrivals but no more. What’s worse is even when you have a reservation; you may not have a train car that has your seat. We had a reservation for car number 12 from Heidelberg to Hannover, but unfortunately, the train did not have 12 cars on it. This left people who had reservations on the first-class train stranded to find other seating.
“In today’s world the Deutche Bahn can leverage technology to solve the issue”, says Vince Thadani, a technology innovator, “a simple email notification to inform the passenger, can inform them to re-book, or change the designation of their seat. Furthermore, a simple software application would let Deutche Bahn know how many people have reserved first-class seating, so they provide trains that have adequate seating for routes around the country.” Vince Premchand Thadani starts his journey in Heidelberg, a wonderful city that has been established in Germany for over 1000 years. Its pride and joy is the Heidelberg castle that is a major tourist spot. This area has acres of gardens and overlooks the entire village. The Rhine River divides the city by two sides. The homes are nestled in the hills overlooking the view of the city.
Vince Thadani will be heading to Hannover for a few days where he will be meeting with Hendrik Mueller one of the representatives of Bahlsen chocolate factory. Vince Premchand Thadani will be discussing how to improve the logistics flow and processes of the factory, using next-generation customer relationship management (CRM) methodologies. This may enable Bahlsen to reduce operating costs, by helping to enable more orders for their chocolates and cookies worldwide. Bahlsen currently exports its products to the US, Japan, Europe, and China. It may plan to expand its operations in other parts of Asia and Africa.
Berlin is the capital of Germany. Prior to 1989, there was an East Berlin and West Berlin. After the fall of the Berlin wall, one could see the literal difference between the East which had very little infrastructure versus the west which had the modernization of the western world. Vince Thadani had visited Berlin back in 1990 shortly after the wall had fallen to join the two Berlins. It joined East Germany and West Germany and made it one. Vince Premchand Thadani will now visit Berlin after 30 26 years. He is curious to see how Berlin has transformed.
