BilliFest 2018 The BilliFest Team is working hard to once again bring Billifest to Billingshurst High Street on Saturday 1st December
T
he overwhelmingly successful BilliFest Family Fun Day & Christmas Fayre, which was held in the High Street last year, will be staged there again this year on Saturday, 1st December, 10am3pm. BilliFest brings the whole community together in the very heart of the village and it puts our High Street and Jengers Mead shops centre stage. Last year’s BilliFest attracted over 2000 people to the village centre. Following excellent feedback, once again the event will be held on the High Street, with dozens of stalls in some 40 gazebos running up the centre of the High Street from Sainsbury’s to Jengers Mead. This year we are hoping to arrange more entertainment in Jengers Mead and Jengers Passage for both young and old! Only the section of the High Street from Sainsbury’s to Jengers Mead entrance road will be closed allowing access to the Jengers Mead car park and shops from the north. High Street shops will be offering their own promotions and, of course, Santa will be there too. Last year some 300 children met

Father Christmas and received their free Christmas present from him, a BilliFest tradition that we will repeat this year. There will be the widest range of things to do and Christmas items to buy, from Christmas wreaths to food and wine, and from gifts to locally crafted beers. In addition BilliFest will present its usual non-stop music throughout the day, plus the annual Grand Raffle. To run and organise the event requires funds and we are indebted to our amazing sponsors who were so supportive that we are able to carry forward funds to help again this year.
