he availability of convenient, quality and compassionate healthcare is one of the many great advantages to life in the Germantown area. The region hosts a variety of physician practices, specialty clinics, urgent care centers, senior care facilities and major hospitals, which come together to create quite a comprehensive medical community. Columbia St. Mary’s has a strong presence in the region. Sponsored by Ascension Health and Columbia Health System, Columbia St. Mary’s is a network of three hospitals, the Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Institute, more than 60 community clinics, several urgent and express care centers and two outpatient centers. The full-service Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee serves the Germantown area with 182 licensed beds and such specialties as internal medicine, geriatrics, allergy/immunology, cardiology, ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, sports medicine and pediatrics. The system also operates the Express Care-Germantown Clinic in town, which offers express walk-in care and on-site laboratory and x-ray services. The Germantown area is also served by Community Memorial Hospital of Menomonee Falls (part of the Froedtert Health system, which also includes hospital and clinic sites in West Bend and Milwaukee).
