tudents of all ages have access to outstanding schools and colleges throughout the Germantown area. From preschool through graduate studies, this community is committed to ensuring its residents are supplied the finest learning opportunities available in Wisconsin.

All of Germantown and portions of neighboring Richfield, Polk and Jackson are well served by the Germantown School District. Approximately 4,000 students are enrolled at one of six schools, including four elementary, one middle and one high school. The district continues to improve in order to provide students with the best possible outcome, earning the title of “best schools” as a result of its excellent state, ACT and AP test scores. Students continually demonstrate high academic achievement and are well prepared for college studies and/or entering the workforce after graduation. The region also hosts numerous preschools and day care centers as well as alternatives for families and students in search of private, parochial instruction. Additionally, there are ample options for higher learning within and closely surrounding Germantown. The village hosts a campus of ITT Technical Institute, a technical school supplying more than 140 career-focused, technology-oriented programs. Through the schools of Information Technology, Electronics Technology, Drafting and Design and Business, students can earn an associate or bachelor of science degree.

Neighboring Mequon also hosts Concordia University-Wisconsin, a four-year liberal arts institution. Nearby West Bend is home to the University of Wisconsin-Washington County. The freshmansophomore campus serves more than 1,000 students and offers low tuition, the choice of more than 200 majors, flexible scheduling and transfer opportunities. UW-WC’s partnership with UWMilwaukee, UW-Oshkosh and UW-Platteville make it possible to complete a bachelor’s degree without having to leave the Washington County campus. West Bend is also home to a campus of Moraine Park Technical College (MPTC). Further public and private higher learning institutions are found in the city of Milwaukee, a short commute from the Germantown area.
