Good News FROM OUR REGION NORWICH ART SHOP MAKES ART AFFORDABLE Fifteen Norfolk artists are taking another step towards fulfilling their mission of making contemporary art affordable and accessible to local people by putting 100 pieces of their work up for sale at bargain basement prices. The group, which shares Norwich Art Shop on Upper St Giles in Norwich’s Lanes, has created 100 mini works of art and is urging the city’s shoppers and visitors to snap them up as“an unusual and very special Christmas present”for just £25. The show, sponsored by Les Garrigues French Food & Wine, Norwich, launches at 5pm on Friday 4 November when there will be a glass of wine for visitors until 9pm. It will then run right the way through to Christmas Eve, opening from 10am until 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
WYMONDHAM WYNTERFEST The Wymondham Christmas Lights Celebration has been held in the first week of December for the last 40 years and 2016 is no exception. This year, Wymondham Wynterfest will be held on Saturday 3rd December from 2pm to 6pm. Entertainment includes the musical talent of South Norfolk Symphonic Youth Band, Wymondham High School Band promoting their Christmas EP to raise funds for Star Throwers, the Invidia Rock Choir and
many more. There will be a children’s play factory, Christmas tree festival, street theatre, shop window display competition, fun fair, nativity scenes festival, art & craft fayre and lots more. A programme has been developed which will be on sale for £1 in the Wymondham Library from November. The Wymondham Wynterfest community volunteer team wishes everyone a very merry seasonal celebration.
