Local Student Runs for MIND

A tenacious young local lad is raising money for MIND. If you can help him, it would mean a lot. A Shepperton resident for 16 years, Benji Duncan leftThamesmead earlier this year. As someone with ADHD and Aspergers he understands all too well how tough this period has been for many and how fortunate he has been. He therefore decided to train and run a marathondistance of 26.6 miles completinghis marathonin October. He has set a £5,000 target and is already close to £1,800 in just a few weeks through friendschool teachers and neighbours. In Benji’s words “I'm raising money to benefit Mind (NAMH), and any donation you can make will help make an impact. I’m using lockdown to raise money and awareness of mental health issues by training and running a full marathon distance. Lockdown is tough for all but particularly those with mental health issues so thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me personally”. www.gofundme.com Search: Benji's £5,000 charity marathon
