TROOP PARACHUTES T-10B, T-10C, T-10D The T-10 nonsteerable Troop Assault Parachute assemblY are used during static line airborne operations. The T-10 has been used for several decades as the primary means of combat troop deployment.

o T-10 safety and reliability have been demonstrated in millions of jumps.

o The T-10 has 5 major components: canopy, risers, deployment bag/static line, pack tray and harness assembly.

o The anti-inversion net is sewn 18 inches down on each suspension line. This braided mesh netting increases the T-10 opening reliability to better than 0.9993. (US Army Statistics).

o T-10 is suitable for airdropping personnel from as low as 500 feet AGL (above ground level).

o Lanyard Canopy Releases permit easy separation from the parachute during windy drop zone conditions.

o Lengthened pocket bands on the T-10C and T-10D provide a more positive opening and reduce the decent rate by 1.5 feet per second which is important to heavily laden jumpers.

Parachutes are produced in accordance with the latest applicable U.S. Army and Parachute Industry Association (PIA) specifications.

EJECTION SEAT PARACHUTES ACES II Pioneer is a leading manufacturer of ACES II aircraft ejection seat parachutes. This ejection seat system is used in a multitude of military airraft. Pioneer has supported the ACES development since it’s beginnings in the 1970’s

o Pioneer Aerospace manufactures the ACES II drogue, pilot parachute and a reinforced 28 foot diameter canopy.1970’s

o The ACES II ejection Seat system is used in the F-16, F-15, B1-1B, B-2, A-10, F-117 and F-22 aircraft.

o The ACES II ejection seat is decelereated and stabilize under high speed conditions by a Hemisflo drogue parachute. This drogue is comprised of a 2-foot Hemisflo extraction parachute and a 5-foot Hemisflo parachute which is deployed by a drogue gun.

o The ejected pilot is recovered by a reinforced 28-foot canopy which is reefed and deployed in a lines-first manner. The mortar deployed main parachute, once initiated, releases a spring activated pilot parachute. Reefing cutters sequence differetly for high or low speeds to improve inflation performance.

Parachutes are produced in accordance with the latest applicable United States Air Force and Parachute Industry Association (PIA) specifications.

AIR FORCE EMERGENCY PARACHUTES BA-20, BA-22 The BA-22 Emergency Back Assembly is a high speed emergency parchute system.

o

The BA-22 Emergency Back Assembly is a high speed emergency parachute system. This back style parachute is configured for use in fixed wing aircraft, such as: C-141, C-130, KC-135, B-52, C-5, F-5, T-37, T-38, A-37 and F-100.

o

At altitudes below 14,000 feet, the crewman will pull the manual ripcord when clear of the aircraft. For landing, the crewman can steer the parachute so that they are facing into the wind, to reduce the potential for injury. After landing, one or both of the parachute release fittings may be activated to prevent dragging during windy conditions.

o

Quarter Bag deployed round 28 foot diameter. The C-9 canopy is composed of 28 gores. The canopy material is ripstop nylon, MilC-7020 and the suspension line material is Mil-C-5040 Type III.

o

The BA-22 harness uses ejector snap closures on both chest and leg straps. The system is highly adjustable to accommodate a wide range of personnel weights and sizes.

o

The Pioneer produced BA-22 Emergency Back Assembly is currently used by the United States Air Force and Air Forces world wide.

o

The C-9 canopy has a rear 4-line release system, which allows the airman to steer the parachute by means of control lines attached to the risers. This permits directional control for safe landing.

The US Air Force Emergency Parachute assemblies have provisions for an automatic parachute release and oxygen.

EXTRACTION PARACHUTES US Army 15, 22, 28 foot US Air Force 15, 22, 28 foot Pioneer produces extraction parachute assemblies in both United States Army and Air Force versions.

o The type of canopy used as extraction parachutes are flat circular ring-slot configurations which are a highly stable and robust design.

o Extraction parachutes are used in low velocity airdrops for aerial delivery of light, medium or heavy cargo. The drop begins with the pendulum ejection of the extraction parachute. Once the parachute has deployed it pulls the cargo platform out of the aircraft

o

Low Altitiude Platform Extraction System (LAPES) uses a single extraction parachute to deploy a cluster of ring slot parachutes attached to a cargo platform. Cargo aircraft can facilitate a LAPES delivery as low as five (5) feet above the drop zone.

All parachutes are produced in accordance with the latest applicable U.S. Government and Parachute Industry Association (PIA) specifications.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Pioneer Aerospace, with Aerazur and PISA, are the three designers and manufaturers which comprise the Zodiac Aerospace Division of Parachute and Protection Systems. These three companies are in the Aerosafety Segment and can meet all of your parachute and deceleration requirements: whether it is for sport, military, or aerospace applications.

PISA

Parachute Industries of Southern Africa (PISA) manufactures and designs a broad range of parachutes and focuses on international after-sales service. PISA aims to be at the forefront of technology, design, and actively pursues staff stability, training and excellence. PISA is an approved designer and supplier to the South African National Defense Force (Armscor Procurement). PISA is also an approved design authority and manufacturer of parachutes with the South African Civil Aviation Authority. PISA holds ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification audited by TÜV Rheinland; Berlin-Brandenburg. A number of specific products hold United States FAA/TSO Certification. PISA military products hold NATO Codification with National Stock Number identification. Dedication to quality and good management are critical in serving our customers to the best of our ability.

PIONEER AEROSPACE Pioneer Aerospace is a world leader in the design and manufacture of state of the art aerodynamic deceleration systems. These systems support specialized tactical, personnel, cargo, humanitarian, weapons, and space exploration programs. Our sophisticated aerial delivery systems are in use all over the globe. Pioneer’s success is founded on over 70 years of parachute development and manufacturing experience.

AERAZUR Aerazur has been devoted to the design, development and manufacture of high quality safety and survival equipment, mainly to the aerospace industry, the armed forces and the armament industry, for over 60 years. Aerazur’s experience extends from the use of flexible materials to the definition of mechanical assemblies. Its human resources, its research and development capacity and its outstanding industrial potential, allow Aerazur to realize its own range of products as well as equipment for prime contractors.

Since 1988 Pioneer has been part of Zodiac’s Aerosafety Systems Group.

ZODIAC AEROSPACE

Zodiac set out to master the elements in 1896, as an aeronautical firm developing airships and airplanes. Then, in the 1930s, we invented the concept of the inflatable boat, whose commercial success after World War II established the Zodiac brand image. Our growth strategy since the late 1970s has enhanced Zodiac’s recognition, shaping us into a diversified corporation with a worldwide presence and a blue-chip stock. After the divestment of the Marine activities in September 2007, the Group is now refocused on aerospace. Zodiac Aerospace is pursuing its expansion to ensure steady growth in its business segments. Zodiac’s technological competencies, which are sustained by rigorous manufacturing and management principles, now cater to specific niche markets, organized into three main Business Areas, regrouping six Business Segments. Each Segment emphasizes self-reliance and flexibility in order to exploit its synergies, foster a long-term commitment by our people, promote creativity, and stay tuned to the market. This managerial policy is rooted in Zodiac’s core values: humility, realism, entrepreneurial spirit and respect.
