Praise Extravaganza a Success....3 VFC Hosts Thanksgiving Service...3 To hear is to listen to and consider favorably. The bible says in Romans 10:14, “How then shall they call on Him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach except they be sent?(KJV)” And it is also written, “How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of Peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Nothing happens Good or Bad until you hear. You see, the enemy does not want you to listen to your Pastor. He’s always trying to turn people against the preacher and anyone who will speak the truth so that you will not Hear. If you can’t hear, you won’t believe - and without believing, there is no receiving. So what’s stopping you from receiving? It’s usually not what we normally think it is. It is mostly based upon

It could be affecting how you believe and what you recieve. There has to be a love and respect for the one who is watching and praying for your soul. If you can’t love him, you won’t hear him - and if you refuse to hear him, you don’t respect him. If you can’t hear and respect what’s being said, you can’t be helped by it. Why should we encourage ourselves? Because we know that our God is Faithful, He is Able, and He is Willing to keep His promise. We belong to God, therefore, we deserve it. II Thessalonians 5:3 says, “The Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you and keep you from evil.” Since He is faithful, we gain confidence in knowing that we can be faithful to Him. We will not cheat on God by partnering with the world. Hebrews 10:23 says, “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised).”
God’s word in encouraging. To know that He is able to do anything but fail is uplifting. We can declare boldly that we are able to stand because we are trusting His encouraging word. The more we receive from our stockpile, the better we will be able to stand the knocks and blows that thrown in our path. II Timothy 1:12 says, “I know whom I have believed, an am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him.” Understand that the Lord wil place people in our lives to encourage us from time to time, but we live with ourselves 24 hours a day. We need to know how to pat ourselves on the back and rest on His blessed assurance when no one is around. II Corinthians 9:8 says, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” Just pull Jesus’ words only from
Matthew 9:28-29, “Believe ye that I am able to do this? According to your faith be it unto you.” Our trust in Him is reinforced, therefore, we become more sure of our ourselves. Colossians 2:10 says, “And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power.” Romans 8:37-39 says, “We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.” Nothing shall separate me from the love of God.

God proved that He is willing to bring us through to victory when He gave His son for us; therefore, we have all the evidence we need to convince us to be willing to continue in holiness. Continue to pull from your stockpile. II Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that nay should perish but that all should come to repentance.” We have hope because God promised in Hebrews 6:17, “Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of the promise the immutability of His counsel, confiirmed it by an oath.” Our promise should be, “Lord, I’m willing to go all the way with You. I accept my assignment ans I am ready to claim my inheritance among those that are sanctified. I am doing well and I am proud to claim my holiness lifestyle. “ We can make it! Let’s be like the engine in the childhood parable of the “Little Engine That Could” - YES I CAN! I thought I could and I did. I am faithful because the Lord is faithful. I am able because the Lord is able. I am willing because the Lord is willing. Pull from your stockpile and Encourage Yourself!
“Be strong and of good courage, and do it; fear not, nor be dismayed; for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.” - I Chronicles 28:20 (KJV).

Aha! Moment
State law mandates that one is considered an adult at the age of 18. The truth of the matter is that we are only afforded certain civil libertiesmaturity comes with effort and practice. The influential people in my life as a child told me to go to get a college education, graduate and go to work. Sound as the advice was, purpose was never a part of the conversation. It wasn’t until I turned, ahem, past 25 that it became clear - what I like to call an Aha! moment. I began to understand

why I’ve had certain life experiences, why God allowed me to meet the people I have and how I responded as a result. I also began to decipher the choices I’ve made and how they’ve shaped who I am to become. The realizations of these truths that were hidden in plain sight caused me to observe a few things: 1. Aha! moments can happen anytime and more than once. 2. They can help you to reconcile your

past experiences and choices 3. You are to blame if you don’t act on them Change is not a disease, but it is contagious. Once we begin to understand better, we are responsible for making the necessary changes to make it better. Why wander through life aimlessly when you can live it with purpose? Life is what you make of it. Reconcile your life and embrace your Aha!

Members, friends and visitors of The Victory Faith Church gathered together November 24 to give thanks for many reasons.
Several people testified about being thankful for family, health, healing, sanity, the gift of the Holy Ghost, God’s faithfulness, making it halfway through a school year, the good and the bad, spouses, children and families. Several were also thankful for the leadership of Bishop K.D. Mixon, Sr. and Lady Timberly Mixon. There was also a
common response from new members concerning their experience at Victory-discussing how they were embraced by members and raved about the love they feel from their church family. Some members decided to give thanks through song (“Thank You Lord” by Walter Hawkins was the selection of choice). Bishop Mixon referenced 1 Timothy 6:3-6 when he spoke on the topic, “Thanksgiving: The Secret of Contentment.” He talked about how
there are many wealthy, successful people who are not content. He described some characteristics of thankful people and their ability to be content: - They rejoice in what they have - They rejoice in the Lord always - They refuse to be ruled by what they don’t have Thanksgiving should be esteemed as a daily practice, not just a holiday tradition.
Praise Extravaganza a Success by Edna Lindsey
“The Tribe of Judah” was the theme for this year’s youth praise extravaganza. Young soloists, praise dancers, and pantomime dancers all gathered together from different churches on one accord as we declared the victory we have in Jesus Christ through praise dance and worship. The Victory Faith praise dancers will plan to host an extraordinary youth conference next year.

Who it was that made you, that kept you, and Prayed for you. We walk as though we got it all Together, as if it was we, ourselves, that made it through. The truth of the matter is we are merely human, and Can do nothing without god's mercy, grace, and favor. So we gather, for so many reasons, that we lost count. Whether a church or a house, we all combine our thanks To the one who is great. Whether believers or not we gather Around in prayer. We are together and what matters is we're still Here. So, let's sing together, dance together, eat and be merry because it is God's will.
