Batangueños are religious and this is seen in their show of faith. Every year, a Fluvial Procession marks the start of the celebration of the city festivities in honor of it’s patron, the Sto. Nino. Multitude of images aside from that from the Basilica of the Immaculate Concepcion are paraded along the waters of Calumpang River, Brgy. Malitam, Brgy. Wawa and along the major streets of the City’s Poblacion.

January 2 happened to be a working day and January 3 was the first day of classes for scions who are in school. Constantly, it gives all of us a unique high to be together in special occasions like our Inay’s birthday, our parents’ wedding anniversary, Easter, our birthdays, Halloween – which is usually the joint birthday celebrations of Ben (Nov. 2) and Maning (Oct. 31), Christmas, New Year, etc. We enjoy costume and theme parties and look forward to it. And each time, it is always as if we have not seen each other for a long, long time. There are always experiences to share and jokes to tell. “Reunions” – or plain parties to some – are part of the Aclan tradition, here or abroad. A kid’s memory is important to him/her, we believe. This is why we make sure that each is a great family bonding experience that will always be remembered in a nostalgic way. We are hoping that a vivid recollection of how it was will be a framework of his/her own family life in the future. Of course, we include special family friends like our Inay’s amiga, Dr. Zenaida Mercado, if and when she is available. Inay’s other loyal amigas, who treated us as their own, have long been with the Creator. Inay is 89 years old and still a champion in “shopping”. Just recently, a sex video of the past couple was deliberately shared to the public through networking sites. Whatever their reason for doing such is malicious and has caused both families of the Bautista’s and Manahan’s besmirched reputation and shame. The culprits ought to pay for the outright damage their acts have inflicted on the victims. Of course Senator Bong Revilla, the late Ramgen’s half brother has the right to his anger. He has asked the NBI to conduct an investigation and prosecute the offender under the Anti-Voyeurism Law of 2009 (RA 9995). “This law prohibits any person from taking photos or shooting video of a person or group of persons performing sexual acts or capturing the image of the private area of a person/s such as the naked or undergarment-clad genitals, buttocks or female breast without the consent of the person/s involved. It also prohibits anyone from copying the photo or video by any means.”

Whatever their reason for doing such is malicious and has caused both families of the Bautista’s and Manahan’s besmirched reputation and shame. The culprits ought to pay for the outright damage their act have inflicted on the victims.

This clearly implies that any one who downloads, copies and sends the video is guilty of committing the offense, regardless if they were the original uploaders. The law also provides a penalty of imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years and a fine of not less than P100,000 but not more than P500,000, or both. So make sure if anyone sends you this video and any other of the same substance, do not share or show because you will be as guilty as the original sender. You will forever lose your peace. -0Hurrah! A Good Governance and Anti-Corruption Plan has been approved and will be adopted by the Aquino government to assimilate databases and weed the government of graft and corruption, and in the process, make all public services available to the people. They have given themselves four years, from 2012 to 2016, to achieve zero corruption in the government system. This seems a tall order. To Page 6

To many, it sounds more of a “wish ko lang” story. However, we all have to give our government a chance to show force in creating changes...for the better. Budget Secretary Florencio Abad recently presented the plan to the cabinet cluster and explained that “ the government is pursuing three initiatives: transparency, accountability and citizen engagement.” Let me give these 3 a worthy acronym; TrACE! We’ll all see through what goes on in our city, municipality and in the national government. TrACE is expected to start with local governments. With the help of technology, all information needed for government transparency can be viewed by the public. It would be very interesting to see via local websites,

the governments’ budget and expenditures, plans and accomplishments as well, should be publicized. People must also be allowed to comment and place blogs in these sites. That’s what i call citizens engagement...when everyone may participate or give their opinion regarding matters of public concern. I firmly believe that when we see things happen, there’ll be no space for foul play, only appreciation and no room for doubt, only trust...these will build our new tomorrow. Let’s all support President Benigno Simeon Aquino III in his cause for good governance and battling corruption! -0Have a real blessed and bountiful New Year folks! Mabuhay to all!

in the country, plus five by affinity. This include part of the brood of Maning, Ben, Vicky, Ate Roz, who is US citizen and travels often, and I, who live in Metro Manila and also not a mainstay in the country. Four of Vicky’s kids and two of mine are in Qatar and in Canada. One of mine was an erstwhile instructor in Qingdao U, China for three years. A few months ago, she opted to come home and share learnings with kababayans. That’s her UP orientation! A few weeks from now, I will be out of the country to be with Tatay and Inay in the US and then with my two kids in Canada for a wintry reunion. Soon sister Vicky will also leave for Canada to visit her eldest child Charmaigne and family. As of this writing, the temperature in Toronto is 19 below zero!!! Brrrrrr! Nothing like Family Oh well, it is a fact that we age, become independent and migrate, physically. It is also a fact that no matter how big one’s family is, time will come when there will eventually only be the parents by their lonesome. But with a close-knit family like ours, no one will ever really be “alone” and lonely for family members are “just a click or text away”. If ever one or two grow apart for one reason or other, it could only be because the Aclan familial values is neither dominant nor present. Biggest lesson learned is to appreciate and value family. Friends come and go but genuine and staunch family will never abandon a member, no matter what. There is nothing like family, come good or bad weather, through thick or thin!

Sight Deacon’s Mass 2nd Week after Christmas Wednesday, January 4, 2012 Read: Psalm 85, 87; Joshua 3: 14—4: 7; Ephesians 5: 1-20; John 9: 1-12, 35-38 For information, prayer and/ or counseling, feel free to mail to: dcn_nitopastor@yahoo.com The church is the visible representation of Jesus on earth, being the Head of the church, we are His body. Our nation is predominantly Christian in population but, sadly eighty percent do not go to church. These people defy the church thinking that it is alright with God to just go directly to Him instead of going to church. So they made themselves hermits that they do not mingle with the body of Christ. Then they stray from God’s set direction. Some of us go to church sometimes when we feel like going and not as often as the Eucharist is celebrated simply because worship is not a part of our lifestyle. Our prayers are filled with earthly desires rather than with what is truly necessary, to desire for the light of God that enables us to live a harmonious and holy life. Nevertheless, our Gospel today gives us a fundamental pattern on how to sight Jesus in His daily visitation in our lives through our defects and failures. Who wants defects and failures? But God’s purpose for these odd things that mar us is for us to put God in His rightful place in our hearts. Being able to restore us, His works are displayed in us. It is basic that we accept the fact that nothing happens that is not known to God. Paul said, “And no creature is hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him (Hebrews 4: 13).” Nothing happens in this world that is not a part of God’s plan. Solomon said, “The Lord has made

everything for His purpose, even the wicked in the day of evil (Proverbs 16: 4).” St. Paul who suffered all his life as a Christian understood this that he wrote, “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5: 18).” Being able to give thanks in the midst of opposi-

CHANGING GLORY TO GLORY Dcn. JP “Nito” Pastor tions is actually sharing in the divinity of Christ who was the first to suffer for our sake. Clearly here, defects and failures give us a change of heart and in all humility and submission trust God to work healing and restoration in our lives. Our Psalm attests to this, “Thou didst forgive the iniquity of Thy people; restore us, O God of our salvation. Indeed, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its produce (Psalm 85: 2a; 4a; 12).” A man blind from birth passed the sight of Jesus and His disciples asked Him as regards to who sinned that the man was blind, he or his parents. Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents, but it was in order that the works of God might be displayed in him (John 9: 3; 5).” Jesus opened the eyes of the blind man; a work displayed publicly made the people to believe. Can we admit that we are also blind—having defects and failures that we need God to work in us restoration? And when His works are displayed in us, some people are restored? My son JV’s death was, on his part, a glorious vindication by God. However, his death was, on my part, a chance to live out forgiveness. On the other, my bankruptcy became a chance for me to hold on to

God even tighter. Holding on to God took me to even stick closer to my eighty two-year old father with whom I struggled and had constant conflicts since the beginning. I sight those as the works of God in His daily visitation in my life. Jesus’ daily visitation and Bible study increase my familiarity with Him more intensely. His light developed in me the love for worship. King James Version says, “Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness (Psalm 29: 2b).” It is not riches and earthly success that stand in beauty before the presence of the Almighty in His sanctuary but the beauty in living a holy life, in holiness, that we stand in beauty before Him. Reconciliation is holiness and it puts to zero the very costly price we put on our self-made principles that keep us apart from people just because we firmly believe we are right and they are wrong. The Scripture on Christian values tells us,“Actually, then, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded (1 Corinthians 6: 7)? ‘Self-righteousness’ that builds a condemning and irreconcilable personality in people cannot measure up to ‘Godly righteousness’founded on love. Paul said, “Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good (Romans 12: 9).” Defects and failures are great works of God and worth embracing like the cross of Jesus for they bring us close to God and peace with all men. God is the Supreme Orchestrator of life that in the darkest hour of life, we know we are secured and we do not waver in unbelief. Paul said, “Walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5: 7).” What memorial can we keep as a sign because now, we are able to sight Jesus in His daily visitation in our lives? In our Second Appointed Lesson, this is the sign that we ought to manifest, to, “Walk in love, just as also Christ loved you, and gave Himself up for us. Walk as children of light (Ephesians 5: 2; 8c).” This memorial is a sign that truly, we believe God, Immanuel, is living within us.

GENERAL INTEREST 2012 Predictions external influences to affect those relationships, either at home or work, and maintain a level head during times of disputes or differences of opinion. Taurus are notoriously passionate about the people and beliefs they care about and can be rather affectionate as well as fiercely loyal. These qualities serve the Bull well this year who should make it a point to express their feelings, verbally, emotionally, and physically to those they love. Make time to socialize with family and friends while taking a break from stress and tension. Taurus has no trouble making new friends and 2012 is no different, especially the very end of the year when new relationships could form. But, do take care while engaging in one of your great debates not to offend those who aren’t yet fond of you, although everyone is usually completely enraptured by your wit, wisdom, and knowledge on a wide variety of interesting subjects. Career and Finance: Taurus should expect both ups and downs in the world of career and finance during 2012. The first quarter of the year isn’t exactly the best time for promotions, raises, or for undertaking any new business ventures, risky or otherwise. Make it a point to avoid any hasty investments or sudden career moves while focusing on will power and determination to persevere. Regardless of the industry or type of career, Taurus should bide their time wisely in 2012 while waiting for the last two quarters to bring about more encouraging prospects and situations. And for those involved in research or education in some capacity, a good opportunity may arise early on in the year. Health: The Bull should be on the look out for potential health problems during the final quarter of the year as well as the chance for being affected in some way by a minor accident in the third quarter. Although usually generally healthy and robust, Taurus should watch for things like stomach conditions or those affecting the lungs toward the end of the year like coughs, colds, and respiratory ailments. Listen to the often subtle signals sent by the body while making exercise and nutrition finally a priority. Overall, Taurus should expectsurviving 2012 to bring with it a mixed bag of highs and lows while preparing to face some possible setbacks along with a number of notable achievements and exciting changes that have long been in the works. Gemini (May 21 - June 21) Gemini, the sign represented by the symbol of the Twins in the zodiac, is perhaps the most interesting and complex of all the twelve horoscope signs. These innovative and creative people born between the days of May 21st and June 21st possess a highly intellectual mind

One of the most important lessons learned from books like The Millionaire Next Door is that you might be surprised at who is wealthy. Indeed, the point of the book is that many of the people we think of as “ordinary” might actually be millionaires. However, they don’t look like what our idea of a millionaire should be. And that’s an important concept to grasp as you live a frugal lifestyle. Instead of trying to look at though you have more money than you do, you should be striving to live within your means, and live as though you have less than you do. Whom are You Trying to Impress? Before you make a purchase, it’s a good idea to stop and ask yourself why you want it. In many cases, the reason might actually be that you are trying to impress someone — not that you need it, or that it truly believe it will substantially increase your quality of life or your enjoyment of life. Our society places a high value on the status symbols that go with wealth. As result, many of us try to appear as though we are just as wealthy — just as “good” — as everyone around us. We often refer to this phenomenon as “keeping up with the Joneses.” Sadly, this type of mindset actually results in widespread debt. A lot of this has to do with the fact that there is a lot of posing going on. You see that someone has something, and you think that you “should” have it as well; you don’t want others to think that you aren’t “rich enough” to afford the same things. The especially disappointing part is that you might be keeping up

with someone who can’t afford those things, either. Chances are, the Joneses are buying on credit to appear richer than they are. So you are really just keeping up with their debt! Don’t Compare Yourself to Others Rather than comparing yourself to others, compare yourself to yourself. If you want to use credit cards as part of a frugal lifestyle to earn points, that’s fine as long as you can pay of the card each month. However, using the credit card to buy something because you think that you “should” have it because soand-so down the block has one is folly. For one thing, your neighbor might have gone into debt to pay for it! And, even if he or she hasn’t, what does it matter? Consider your own priorities and your own preferences. Nearly everyone in our neighborhood has a TV that is at least 50”. Ours, though, is 32”. Watching on a big TV just isn’t a priority for us, and we don’t feel like we need to rush out and buy a TV, just so that it matches in size with our friends’. On the other hand, we like Mac computers. So, we would rather spend a little more on our computers, and keep the smaller TV. Our neighbors, though, might have different priorities. And that’s just fine. Bottom Line Your spending needs to be based on you. Rather than buying items to look richer than you are, and racking up debt, be content with what you have, and focus on purchasing the items that are most important to you. You might not look “rich”, but you will have true wealth.

along with a pleasant demeanor and an innate charm that instantly draws others to them, making them popular in whatever circles they choose to travel. The Twins should look forward to a year of excitement and success in 2012 along with a rare chance to recuperate a few losses, financial and otherwise, that were experienced in the past year. Love and Relationships: Gemini is known for their extreme trustworthiness and ability to bring out the best in others, making it rather easy for them to make and maintain relationships. However, in this upcoming year, the Twins will want to keep their argumentative, questioning, and suspicious natures neatly in check if they want to continue enjoying harmonious personal relationships, especially with their significant others. Gemini should wisely use the second half of 2012 to mend any fences that were broken during the first two quarters of the year due to flared tempers or loose tongues and rely on their great ability to bring peace to just about any type of situation. Career and Finance: The beginning of the near year may bring about some strife in the workplace or on the career front with questions arising surrounding income in the first quarter. Instead of expecting a pay increase or promotion now, channel your energy toward other creative endeavors that just may turn out to be rather lucrative. From March until the end of June Gemini could see their career related goals come to fruition as income and productivity both are on the rise. Thanks to favorable planetary positioning, the Twins can expect a profitable year provided plenty of patience is utilized, something that Gemini often lacks in spite of their best intentions. For Twins who are interested in furthering their education, fickleness and trouble concentrating can both prove to be real barriers, but with the will to succeed and coming to terms with the fact that you simply perform better under pressure, you will be able to achieve whatever you want. Also look for some confidence boosters in unexpected places during the last few months of the year which will greatly help to give you that extra push needed to realize all of your goals. Health: Despite all of the general odds the Twins should have a relatively healthy year in 2012. Although under the retrograde of planet Mars, Gemini will want to be on the watch for potential health problems that relate to either digestion or the nervous system. This is particularly true during the first two to three months and again during the fall again due to Mars along with some help from Venus also in retrograde. All in all, Gemini should look for a dynamic, exciting year that is rich with surprises as well as emotional fulfillment while surviving 2012.

Sudoku is a logicbased, combinatorial number placement puzzle. The objective is to fill a 9x9 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the 3x3 sub-grids that compose the grid (also called “blocks”, “regions”, “boxes” or “sub-squares”) contains all of the digits from 1 to 9. (The puzzle was popularized in 1986 by the Japanese puzzle company Nikoli, under the name Sudoku, meaning single number. It became an international hit in 2005.)

PULSONG BATANGUEÑO nina Ana Pamela Macatangay at Vanessa Rose Cayson

GENERAL INTEREST Fr. CONRADO CASTILLO NaNGUNA SA PAGBABASBAS NG MGA

BAGONG SASAKYAN

Kasi sa katulad naming business student nagiging empleyado ang aming bagsak so sana masuportahan man lang ang aming edukasyon at ituro sa tao how money works for us.” - Mark Lester Salazar Taal, Batangas To Page 7

2012 PREDICTIONS

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 19) Mature and intelligent Capricorn, represented in the zodiac by the goat, boasts a great sense of mental stability and many admirable qualities. Capricorns, those admirable people born between December 22nd and January 19th, are practical, patient, forward thinking, confident individuals who carry with them a deep sense of purpose. This ambitious earth sign that’s ruled by the planet Saturn is in store for quite a few surprises in 2012 along with one well deserved success after another. Love and Relationships: Contentment abounds and love flows freely at home thanks to the planetary alignments this year that positively influence Capricorn. Goats should experience smooth sailing throughout most of 2012 as their already satisfactory social life takes a turn for the better. Adored and revered by many, all Capricornia are persuasive and able to make friends wherever they are. Plenty of mingling with family, friends, and colleagues bring out the best in Capricorn, who, at times, have the tendency to be too serious in spite of their most valiant efforts. A minor mishap or misunderstanding possibly related to money matters could be on the horizon for Capricorns in regards to their most important personal relationship. Rely on patience and an open mind while dealing with any setbacks or discord. Communication and compromise are key as the last six months of the year bring back both harmony and bliss. Career and Finance: Able to excel in just about any industry or career they choose, hard working, demanding, and continually determined Capricorns should see 2012 as a stepping stone for future success. Take care of projects left unfinished in 2009 while short and long term goals come to fruition this year. Entrepreneurial Goats could see favorable revenues and financial prudence causes cash flow to stabilize this year, but be wary of potential troubles mid to late year. Fortunately, these problems are solved after actively working to find viable solutions, something Capricorn never seems to have much difficulty doing. Do watch for potential upsets in the workplace caused by uncooperative superiors or jealous coworkers who don’t have anyone’s best interests in mind. Whether it’s at the office or when dealing with business competition, keep tempers in check while realizing that losing your patience now could come back to haunt you later on unfairly. Academic success due to both

natural intelligence and dedication are quite possible in 2012 for Capricorn, especially when research, development, or education are

involved. Health: The first nine months of 2012 prove to be rather peaceful and uneventful in matters of health and well being for Capricorn, but the last quarter could bring with it a few minor ailments related to both the chest and stomach areas. Capricornia are notorious for staying on top of their health and making sure to see the doctor or take their medicine when needed, which serves them well this year and in the future. The yearly horoscope for Capricorn is a rather busy one as well as one that brings with it a sense of contentment, happiness, and encouragement for surviving 2012. Aquarius (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18) Versatile and adaptable Aquarians are in for a year of unexpected but pleasant surprises in 2012 and the chance to achieve what was believed to be impossible during the previous year. Positive energy abounds along with new opportunities in the second quarter of 2012 for those born between January 20th and February 18th, who should expect to be even more optimistic this year than normal. Those born under the air sign of Aquarius demand honesty from those around them, and thanks to the influences of Neptune, have an uncanny ability to seek out the truth. A strong belief system and convictions coupled with an attractive, magnetic personality are typical of Aquarians who, at times, may have the tendency to be demanding, either of others or themselves. Because of this, make sure 2012 is a year of a willingness to make positive changes where needed. Love and Relationships: Spend this year focused on family and friends, strengthening existing relationships and forming new ones during the third and fourth quarters. A personal relationship of some sort could prove to be less than ideal at the end of the year so utilize your great diplomacy and perceptiveness to iron out any problems. A philosophical mood strikes during September as you even surprise yourself with your deep thoughts and better than usual reasoning skills. Career and Finance: Career minded water bearers will have an opportunity to showcase their many talents this year, and with hard work and determination, a well deserved promotion or similar success could be on the immediate horizon. But, do beware of some possible friction in the workplace during the second and third quarters taking this time to make use of your excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills to SunStar

diffuse the situation quickly. In matters of finance Aquarians could see business gains or an increase in salary or earnings at the beginning of the year. However, despite this boon early on, the second part of 2012 could bring about an increase in expenses, making it important to take advantage of the previous surplus. Travel overseas is a possibility, either for career or personal matters, especially during the second portion of the year. If relocation is a result of a career change or a related opportunity in another state or country, make sure that plenty of planning ahead of time is on your agenda. This will ensure that possible snags along the way are avoided before they have a chance to transpire, which also holds true for both career and personal matters when it comes to relocating. Health: And finally in regards to health, Aquarians shouldn’t have to deal with many problems in general throughout the majority of 2012, except perhaps during the last quarter. The final three months of 2012 may bring about stomach-like ailments such as the flu, so make it a point to watch your health at the end of the year. Also, make time for rest and relaxation to ward off potential illness while keeping your mind sharp and focused especially close to the month of November. Overall, surviving 2012 is a snap. Aquarians should expect to have a relatively pleasant and satisfactory year in 2012 devoid of any major issues or problems. Pisces (Feb. 19 - Mar. 20)

Dynamic and quick minded Pisces, the twelfth and last sign of the zodiac, should prepare themselves for an interesting year of ups and downs along with a few unexpected challenges. This water sign, which rules those who were born between February 19th and March 20th, is characterized by adaptability, empathy, and kindness, three distinct qualities that allow Pisceans to be both well liked and successful in their endeavors in 2012. Pisces does have a natural tendency to allow their nerves to get the better of them, especially when overwhelmed with responsibilities or when falling behind on tasks. But, the agility the Fish is known for along with their deep thinking will allow them to prevail even during times of strife, just be sure to keep negative thoughts at a minimum. Love and Relationships: New love may be on the immediate horizon for unattached Pisceans while those who are already in a relationship will experience a renewed sense of commitment and interest in 2012. On the family front, things will be rather pleasant this year for the ever devoted Pisces who should look to their children and spouses for sources of inspiration and joy. In spite of the mostly harmonious year ahead, the third quarter might bring about a minor disagreement of sorts with members of the opposite sex and extra

care should be paid to matters of love during October and November. Control feelings of anger and use your diplomacy skills to mend fences as soon as possible. And be prepared for others to come to you this year during times of despair. Despite Pisces great need to be supportive of people around them, they often forget to tend to their own needs, which is essential in order to continue helping others. Career and Finance: 2012 seems to be a year of success and satisfaction on the career front for Pisceans who should jump at the chance at any overseas, work-related travel opportunities. You will be able to come up with some new ideas for streamlining work tasks or for facing challenges more effectively, however, you may want to avoid starting any new businesses or partnerships this year due to a number of potential hurdles later on down the road. This year gives Pisces the opportunity to clear up the vast majority of their debts, although this should be done early on in 2012 as income potential could go down throughout the year. Health: Although the first half of the year is uneventful in matters of health and wellness, Pisces should be on the watch for minor problems during the last two quarters of 2012. Bouts with colds or the flu, stomach ailments, headaches, and back or joint pain could soon surface, so pay close attention to any subtle signs of possible illness during this time. Health problems may plague loved ones around you this year, making it important to stay in tune with relatives and friends. Overall Pisces will be able to enjoy a mostly pleasant year in surviving 2012 and build a strong foundation for the following year with their vast intelligence and intuitiveness. Aries (Mar. 21 - Apr. 19)

Aries, the very first sign of the zodiac, exudes a great sense of adventurism, enthusiasm, and seems to have an unlimited source of energy within them. Courageous Arians, those born between March 21st and April 19th and represented by image of the Ram, are chock full of admirable attributes and the upcoming year of 2012 is one that will prove to brimming with positive and well deserved change. Love and Relationships: Family life improves this year, especially during the last two quarters, and Aries should look to the home front for solace while enjoying the strengthening bonds between spouses and children who both bring with them great happiness to the Ram. Aries are always open to new ideas, thoughts and suggestions, and while they love their freedom, their great adaptability allows them to make the best of just about any situation. Single Arians shouldn’t overlook the possibility of a chance meeting, particularly during the middle of the year, which could easily become a strong friendship before blossoming into love.

The Ram should work on their communication and people skills this year, learning how to be a little more supportive and tactful when dealing with less than ideal situations that may arise in interpersonal relationships. The rewards of doing so will be great when harmony and peace are the result whether it’s at home or at work. Career and Finance: Working Rams shouldn’t hesitate to express themselves and their creativity this year as on the professional front, 2012 could bring about some great improvements, although they may not come to fruition until the year’s second quarter. Expand your horizons and collaborate with likeminded people who are equally as driven while putting your best foot forward in the ever competitive world of business and industry. Fortunately, Aries will start to have a clearer picture in terms of finance, allowing them to spend their money a bit more judiciously than they did in the past. However, the beginning of the year isn’t favorable for things like pay raises, promotions, job changes, or investments, so it’s probably best to wait until the third or fourth quarters for these and similar financial prospects to improve. Health: Most all Arians should experience a year filled with good health in 2012, but the only caveat to this is getting the proper amount of exercise and the right nutrition. Setting aside time for rest and relaxation to stay balanced and calm is important for Aries who despite their high energy levels, tend to take on more than they can reasonably handle by compromising their own needs. Do make it a point to take part in some outdoor activities and adventures, especially during June and July, to rejuvenate and balance your energy levels while getting in touch with nature. Exciting and encouraging news for surviving 2012 are sprinkled throughout the year and in general, Aries will enjoy a year of changes that have been brewing for at least the past five years or more, bringing with them relief from troubling frustrations and anxieties. Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

Taurus, or the Bull in reference to their representative in the zodiac, are well known for possessing very distinctive qualities and tend to be rather successful in all of their endeavors both personal and professional. Taurus, those amiable people born between April 20th and May 20th, are smart, practical, influential, and pragmatic people, but they can also be quite stubborn, which often equates with perseverance and a great will to succeed. Love and Relationships: Thanks to the negative influences from the combination of Mars and Saturn, the first half of 2012 may prove to be a stressful one in matters of love and personal relationships.
