I hope everyone have recovered from a very busy June (Father’s Day, Constitution Day (Grundlovs Dag) and Sct. Hans).

As we enter the final stretch, less than 3 months, before National Convention. I want to apologize to anyone who may have their articles or notices bumped from the Newsletter due to space. The convention and all the information you want and we need to give you, does take priority, so when we have to ensure the information is posted, we may have to postpone other news and information. I realize that no one wants their information delayed, so we ask that you remember to use the National Foundation of Danish America’s website to post your events as well. We will get your articles and notices in the newsletter in the order received, or deemed necessary due to content or timelines.

If you are thinking of running for a position on the National Board, but are unsure, and would like more detail, please reach out to anyone of the past or present Board members to get their input, and point of view. If you already know you want to be on the Board, please submit your resume to National Secretary Glenda or myself, so we can provide the nomination committee with the resumes prior to convention. This way they have time to read them through without rushing. We, of course, do accept nominations from the floor as long as the nominee qualify as per our Bylaws article IV National Officers.

Like you, we are looking forward to seeing everyone at National Convention, and we are excited for the members who have decided to run for the Board. Best of luck to you all, and remember that time flies when you are having fun…or are really busy, so let us give it our all these last months to ensure a fantastic convention.
