It is hard to believe that it is already December again. I am sure that you are getting ready for the holidays in your home and hope you are thinking of your Sisters and friends again this year as this pandemic seem to stretch longer than we thought possible. I realize it is becoming harder to maintain your lodge connections as we cannot see and visit each other as we used to, but I hope you take the time to get together whenever you can and try to “visit” our virtual Tivoli lodge or our partner, NFDA, who both have had several online interactions and programs of interest to all. This year seemed to have flown by compared to 2020, possibly because we have been busy. We successfully completed our fundraiser challenge to support a matching grant for the archival preservation position at the Museum of Danish America. This was a major accomplishment with us donating over $43,000 and ensuring the preservation of our many Sisterhood treasurers which we could not have completed so fast if not for all the generous Sisters and friends of the Sisterhood. We added several new items to the Sisterhood butikken and hope you like them! Please do keep your suggestions coming so we can continue to have a variety of items based on what you all would like. Your Board was also able to meet face to face for the first time in over 18 months, which was fantastic! It really invigorated us all and helped us focus and reconnect to keep us going in the same direction. We hope we will be able to meet again in the Spring as we plan for the upcoming District Conventions. On a different matter I wanted to remind you that we are planning on going to Denmark in August 2022, and currently registration is open to Sisterhood members and their guests. Come January 1st registration is open to all, so if you plan on going, I suggest you sign up with Connie Schell soon. This could also be the perfect Christmas present for someone special. I hope to see you there and in the new year. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.
