Career Studies Certificate Interested in becoming a welder? This is the first part of the Technical Studies in Welding AAS degree. This program introduces students to blueprint/symbols reading, Shielded Metal Arc, Fluxed Cored Arc, Gas Metal Arc, and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding. The coursework in this program is offered during the evening, so you can continue your employment.

Program Length 1 year (2 semesters) Career Opportunities Entry level manual or semiautomatic welding positions are in high demand.

G3 Eligible This program is G3 eligible. G3 Scholarships cover tuition and fees for Virginia residents of modest income who are pursuing high demand careers.

Tuition & Fees At only $162.11 per credit hour, you’ll save $10K

to $22K, in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition.

Eddie Fultz has a Certificate as well as an Associate’s Degree in Welding from Mountain Empire Community College. With decades of industry experience, he provides a comprehensive educational experience for students interested in this high demand field.
