General Studies Pathway in Public Health Associate of Arts and Sciences Degree

Most public health workers will specialize in a certain area such as behavioral science and health education, biostatistics, international global health, and epidemiology. This Pathway in Public Health provides introductory core education background that will allow the student to transfer into a four-year Public Health program.

Program Length 2 years (4 semesters)

Transfer Objectives Personal and community health, principles of public health, principles of nutrition and human development, and introduction to drug use and abuse.

With a Bachelors in Biology and a Masters in Molecular Virology/Infectious Disease, both from Virginia Tech, Freeman has been teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology and Microbiology for Health Sciences at the college for over 12 years. Her favorite part of her job is getting students excited about health and medicine.
