Specialization in Teacher Preparation Associate of Arts and Sciences Degree

Can you picture yourself as an elementary or middle school teacher? This degree is designed for students who wish to transfer to a four-year institution to earn a bachelor’s degree, acquire a teaching license, and then serve the community as an elementary or middle school teacher.

Tuition & Fees At only $162.11 per credit hour, you’ll save $10K to $22K, in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition.

With 18 years of public school teaching experience, Mary Munsey has worked with all levels of K-12 students and proactively advises VHCC students who are preparing to teach. Munsey is also an accomplished musician. She has a vital role in our Arts Array offerings.
