Computerized Tomography Career Studies Certificate

If you are interested in computer technology and health care, this program may be for you. A computed tomography (CT or CAT) scan allows doctors to see inside the body using a combination of x-rays and a computer to create pictures of your organs, bones and other tissues. The Computerized Tomography program provides training for ARRT or CNMT registered technologists in the art and science of computed tomography to help you succeed as multi-skilled technologists. This program provides a sound foundation toward building a rewarding professional career.

Program Length 1 year (2 semesters)

Career Opportunities Opportunities are available in hospitals, clinics, urgent care centers, outpatient imaging centers, and other settings.

Tuition & Fees At only $162.11 per credit hour, you’ll save $10K to $22K, in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition.

Donna Corns has an AAS in Radiography from SWCC/VHCC. She also has a Bachelor of Science in health science with dual concentration in public health and management from Old Dominion University and a Master of Science in occupational and technical studies with a concentration in career and technical studies from ODU.
