Dagli anni novanta Arco è la Mecca dell’arrampicata sportiva italiana. Sono nate infinite falesie e vie a più tiri, alcune delle quali si prestano anche per l’arrampicata in estate. Ne sono un esempio Piccola Dallas, a pochi minuti dal centro storico di Arco, ma anche L’Orto e la falesia di Sanderland in Val di Ledro. Per chi invece è più intressato alle cosiddette vie “plaisir” si può recare alla parete di San Paolo, alla Rupe Secca o al Monte Colt nel primo pomeriggio, dove le pareti garantiscono ombra ed il piacevole vento spira dal lago di Garda. Per un’arrampicata “da cartolina” invece consigliamo il Corno di Bò, poco più a sud di Torbole con le sue placche che terminano direttamente nel lago di Garda, il quale inoltre offre un piacevole vento che comincia a tirare nel primo pomeriggio. Since the nineties, Arco has been the climbing mecca of Italy. Numerous climbing crags and multi-pitch routes have been equipped and several are certainly suitable for the summer. The climbing crag Piccola Dallas, for example, just a few minutes away from the historic center of Arco, is an ideal summer spot. In addition, spots such as L’Orto or Sanderland are located in the Ledro Valley. Those who are more interested in Plaisir routes may want to try to climb the wall of San Paolo, Rupe Secca or the Monte Colt. All three walls are in the shade already in the early afternoon. It is not uncommon to have a cool breeze blowing up from the Lake Garda. The spot Corno di Bò is situated just south of Torbole, directly near Lake Garda, which is providing a refreshing wind in the afternoon.
Seit den 90er Jahren ist Arco das Mekka des Sportkletterns in Italien. Unzählige Sportklettergärten und Mehrseillängenrouten sind entstanden, wobei mehrere durchaus sommertauglich sind. Der Klettergarten Piccola Dallas etwa, der nur wenige Minuten vom historischen Zentrum Arcos entfernt liegt, ist ein ideales Sommergebiet. Dazu gesellen sich Gebiete wie etwa L’Orto oder Sanderland, das im Ledrotal liegt. Wer sich mehr für Plaisirrouten interessiert, kann sich an den Wänden von San Paolo, Rupe Secca oder am Monte Colt versuchen. In allen drei Gebieten sorgen die Wände bereits am frühen Nachmittag für Schatten. Nicht selten weht der wohltuende Wind vom Gardasee herauf. Nur etwas südlich von Torbole befindet sich das Gebiet Corno di Bò. Die Felsen enden direkt im Gardasee, dessen Wind am frühen Nachmittag für Abkühlung sorgt.
