San Giovanni in Villa Church
Chiesa San Giovanni in Villa Consacrata nel 1180, la chiesetta rappresenta un gioiello per la città. La semplice architettura del corpo centrale è arricchita dal bel campanile con trifora e bifora del primo Trecento. La decorazione pittorica interna è eccezionale: artisti girovaghi di scuola giottesca introducono un nuovo stile plastico e una tecnica ad affresco eccezionale che rivelano straordinaria capacità artistica e interpretativa. Orari di apertura: Sab, ore 10–12.30 (salvo eccezioni) Touring Club Italiano: visita guidata della chiesetta ogni ultimo sabato del mese da aprile a ottobre.
Kirche St. Johann im Dorf Diese im Jahr 1180 geweihte Kirche kann als Juwel der Stadt bezeichnet werden. Die schlichte Architektur des Sakralbaus wird durch den schönen Kirchturm mit einem Drillings- und einem Zwillingsfenster aus dem frühen 14. Jahrhundert geschmückt. Im Inneren der Kirche sind Fresken zu sehen: Diese stammen von Wanderkünstlern, die der Schule Giottos zugeordnet werden können und deren neuer plastischer Stil und herausragende Maltechnik auf einen außerordentlichen Sinn für Kunst und Interpretation weisen. Öffnungszeiten: Sa, 10–12.30 Uhr (Änderungen vorbehalten) Touring Club Italiano: geführte Besichtigung der Kirche am letzten Samstag des Monats ab April bis Oktober.
Consecrated in 1180, this small church is a veritable jewel for its city. The simple architectural style of the main body is embellished by the beautiful bell tower having a mullioned window with three lights and a mullioned window with two lights dating back to the beginning of the fourteenth century. The pictorial decoration within is exceptional: itinerant artists from the Giotto school introduced a new plastic style and a remarkable frescoing technique revealing extraordinary artistic and interpretative skills.
