“My Cubist internship gave me a chance to work with an exciting young company that’s growing and is in pursuit of very interesting innovations. They provided memorable networking opportunities and an excellent mentoring program. “Beyond this, what I liked best about the internship was working with a great group of people who understood what I wanted to get from the experience and helped me achieve that. Most important, my coworkers at Cubist made it clear that they valued me and valued what I brought to the table.” Gil Addo

“As a co-op student at Cubist, I was immediately involved in the intense work environment, which could have been intimidating. However, I felt surprisingly at ease, thanks to Cubist’s exceptional support and the great organization of its program. I enjoyed taking on responsibilities and feeling ownership of my work. “The key differentiator here is the employees. My time at Cubist has confirmed my belief that a positive work experience is directly related to co-workers and the environment they create. There’s a strong sense of community here. Everyone is willing to help out, and I quickly felt I was part of the team.” Anna Kotkin

We reward differently. “I would highly recommend the co-op program at Cubist. It’s important to prepare for a career through academics, to understand the concepts and scenarios from class, but it’s even more important to apply what you’ve learned. The co-op program here does a great job bridging the gap between education and the real world. “Cubist also organized excellent social and networking events for us, and we were able to truly experience a rare kind of corporate environment. Cubist’s cultural approach is to be very hardworking, yet remarkably open, welcoming, and inclusive. These are great attributes that will definitely help drive this company’s success.” Max Mahoney

Analytical Chemistry Co-op, Fall 2011 and 2012, Spring 2013 Northeastern University

“Cubist’s internship program opened my eyes. I had worked in a lab at school, so I had a strong foundation of knowledge and the hands-on skills I needed to work here as a synthetic chemist. But as a Cubist intern, I gained tremendous practical experience and met incredible people. My mentors were invaluable, and the program gave me a true understanding of what it’s like to pursue this profession. “I enjoyed doing such meaningful work as an intern, but the number one reason I wanted to come back to Cubist is the culture. People here love what they do, and it shows.” www.cubist.com/about/community_outreach Catherine Nuccio Research Associate, Discovery Chemistry Discovery Chemistry Intern, Summer 2010 Boston College
