BLAZING

BIKERS Here at Blazing Trails we

run a fleet of thirty 350cc Enfield Bullets. Although now made in India, these bikes are of the same basic design as the Enfields manufactured in Britain back in the 1950s and although small improvements have been made over the decades, they retain classic British bike character and charm. lazing Trails have been running motorcycle tours in India continuously since 1999 – longer than any other British bike touring outfit. Thus, our experienced staff are well able to take care of all planning and logistics, leaving you to get on with enjoying the bike and the many wonders India has to offer. We believe that in terms of everything from safety provision, through machinery, to accommodation, we are able to provide the best motorcycling experience on the Indian Subcontinent. Our tours are designed to cater for riders of all abilities looking to make something extra-special of their traditional two-week break. We know how important the time is to you, so we don't skimp on organisational detail. Whatever tour you choose, we'll fly you out to India, take care of all transport and accommodation while you're here, and then whisk you safely back to the airport for your trip home – simple as that. We offer our tours in association with wellestablished, British-based tour operator Jewel in the Crown. By this means we are ATOL bonded and members of ABTA

greatly, the formats for all tours are largely the same… Upon joining the Blazing Trails staff at the ride's starting point, you will be provided with a freshly prepared, fuelled, fun-ready bike (thereafter, you will be responsible for fuel costs) and briefed on all aspects of the tour, from riding advice to any safety and medical issues. Each tour is accompanied by a support/luggage vehicle, a fully-equipped mechanic and a medic with state-of-the-art equipment. While riding, a group will be led by a rider who knows your route in great detail; at the rear will be a 'sweeper' to ensure nobody gets left behind.

Blazing Bikes Here at Blazing Trails we run a fleet of thirty 350cc Enfield Bullets. Although now made in India, these bikes are of the same basic design as the Enfields manufactured in Britain back in the 1950s and although small improvements have been made over the decades, they retain classic British bike character and charm. Producing around 18bhp, these bikes are no rocketships. Power delivery is 'friendly' with peak torque being made at low revs. This makes the Enfield Bullet ideal for relaxed touring in 'cruise mode'. Bullets are also very tough (a necessary trait on the back roads we like to travel), comfortable and, with a low centre of gravity, are very easy to handle. Our bikes are meticulously maintained by full-time in-house mechanics, being serviced, stripped back to the frame and repainted at the end of each season. Upon reassembly our chaps take the opportunity to inspect the integrity of each nut, bolt and spoke. While our 350s are used for tours in South India and Rajasthan, for Himalayan tours we supply the 500cc, 20bhp version of the bike, fitted with a disc brake conversion and large fuel tank. These bikes are maintained to the same high standards by our Delhi agent, but our own mechanics join us on tour to take care of day-to-day maintenance. Power delivery is 'friendly' with peak torque being made at low revs.

but highlights things that are best not forgotten. Some of these items (insect repellent, hats, etc) can be bought cheaply in India, but as there may not be the time to nip to the shops on the first day,

it's as well to bring them

from home. Please do not bring lots of pens to hand to children – such wellmeaning acts have the potential to change normal rural village kids into aggressive little beggars. Day Bag – sufficient to carry a water bottle, rain suit etc Bungees or cargo net – if you tire of the day bag or need to carry that bit extra, First Aid Kit – basic; a few plasters and antiseptic cream (we carry a very comprehensive medical kit), Medication – any regular medication you need , Spectacles – bring spares, or your prescription with you, Insect Repellent , Sun Block , Lip Salve , Torch/Head-torch , Sunglasses , Penknife, Money belt - or other secure system for carrying passport, money etc , Alarm whether on phone or not, Watch - for telling the time, so you're not late , Swimming suit – not necessary in the Himalaya, Passport photographs (two) for Himalayas only, Gin

he youth today are a curious blend of materialistic and other worldly pursuits. They have been celebrated in cinema and a lot of other developmental activities are going on to promote youth welfare. Success drives youngsters today. They definitely turn to education for this success and have become quite focused in this field. ‘Education is cool' for them but selecting the right course becomes difficult for them. Racing ahead in cut throat competition the youth are moving in a rapid pace. Find out more about what is going on with the youth with www.bestindiansites.com The Ministry of Youth affairs & Sports dates back to 1982. This was done to give support to the most vibrant and dynamic segment of the country's population i.e. the youth. Their aim was to involve the youth in various nation building activities. Find out what activities they engage themselves in and take a look at their Secretariat. Read about their official language and the vigilance and public grievance cell. Around the world the terms "youth", "adolescent", "teenager", and "young person" are interchanged, often meaning the same thing, occasionally differentiated. Youth generally refers to a time of life that is neither childhood nor adulthood, but rather somewhere in-between. Youth also identifies a particular mindset of attitude, as in "He is very youthful". The term youth is also related to being young. "This world demands the qualities of youth: not a time of life but a state of mind, a temper of the will, a quality of imagination, a predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the life of ease. Youth is an alternative word to the scientificallyoriented adolescent and the common terms of teen and teenager. Another common title for youth is

young person or young people. The age in which a person is considered a "youth," and thus eligible for special treatment under the law and throughout society varies around the world. BECAUSE TEENAGERS wield such disproportionate power over entertainment, it's easy to resentfully see them as the enemy -- maniacal despots with crappy taste and a cell-phone fetish. So for anyone looking to restore their faith in youth (and perhaps do penance for other showbiz sins), try visiting with students enrolled in the media academy at Cleveland High School. Situated in the hinterlands of Reseda, Calif., Cleveland qualifies as a Title 1 school, catering to economically disadvantaged students at greater risk of failing or dropping out. One of its mentors, veteran distribution exec Norman Horowitz, urged me to check out the work done there under media academy counselor Cathee Cohen, who -- because the L.A. Unified School District provides no central coordination among schools with media programs -must spend her spare time seeking "mentors, equipment and cold hard cash" to support its efforts. These are the kind of teenagers you actually root for to make it. Most don't have parents running studios or trust funds, just an abiding love of movies. They talk about film school, but that will likely require scholarships. And despite the long odds against realizing those dreams, they sound convinced they will find some way to work in the business Youth is an alternative word to the scientifically-oriented adolescent and the common terms of teen and teenager. If you are plump, avoid sleeveless cuts. Wear dark colors rather than going in for lighter shades and if you wish to wear lighter shades then prefer dull colors like instead of sky blue go in for dull blue or dirty blue. Small prints and vertical line prints give a slimmer look. Heavy built should avoid cotton sarees and Kota sarees and should instead attire oneself in Chiffon and Georgette sarees If you have a medium structure, you should choose beige and fawn colors. With this kind of constitution, you can dress yourself in georgette saree or satin. In case of blouses, prefer nets, as they are a great help in disguising physical flaws. If you are thin, you can carry off well in all colors. The entire range of beautiful shades will suit you. Sleeveless, deep cuts and strapped blouses can also be worn.

If you do not feel very comfortable wearing western outfits but at the same time want to maintain a smart cosmopolitan look, Indo western style would add on charm to your personality. If you are shy introvert types, then you can carry yourself better in a sari with boat necked or square necked blouses. If you are bold and outspoken type, you can choose to pick up sleeveless, deep-necked blouses or may be with straps.
