Breeding is in full swing. More than ever, we see that sport and breeding are moving towards each other, something we already welcomed 35 years ago with our slogan “sport and breeding hand in hand”. At the same time, some caution is required for this phenomenon to spread. New reproductive options such as ICSI have enabled new commercial applications, but at the same time also create the necessary challenges. Take, for example, line inbreeding or fertility problems. We must cherish precisely those breeders, with decades of valuable knowledge, not guided by the commercial hype, and to whom we owe our current successful jumping horse breeding!

In addition to our older proven sires Numero Uno, Ustinov and Van Gogh, we can also offer you a beautiful collection of stallions this year, varying in type, pedigree and character traits. Kensington, Lord of Farming and Corlou are already successful at international FEI level and Donthargos has also jumped his first international FEI courses at the time of publication of this brochure. The most recent competition videos of our stallions can be found on our social media channels and on our YouTube channel. We expect the first two-year-old stallions at the end of this year from Diamant de Semilly grandson Donthargos. Given the first impressions that we already received from some breeders, we have very high expectations. The first offspring of Lord of Farming and Corlou have also been very well received! We have seen exceptional foals from both stallions, and we have been able to add some to our young horse stock.

Tokyo du Soleil and Chaclot, two stallions that we have been offering through frozen semen for several years, also seem to breed very well. Both pass on beautiful, appealing, large-framed horses and the first offspring looks promising.

Our latest addition certainly deserves a mention! Agino Z is a son of Aganix du Seigneur Z out of a Cumano dam who, in addition to a very appealing conformation, also seems to have everything it takes for a successful sports career.

At our stable we breed our own mares on a small scale and every year we purchase foals who will be produced and trained for a show jumping career at “De Wiemselbach”. A great number of these foals have been approved for breeding in the past. Well known names are; Lupicor, Liberty (Laura Kraut), Numero Uno, Van Gogh, L’Esprit, Whitaker (Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani), Back Gammon, Calimero (Marc Houtzager), Cristello (Denis Lynch) and Garfield (Ashlee Bond).

Van Gogh was the undisputed KWPN performance test champion of 2005. During the last years no other KWPN stallion has received as many points as Van Gogh at his performance test. This son of Numero Uno was not only rewarded for his great jumping skills but also his fantastic movement. The dam line of Van Gogh produced many international showjumping and dressage horses. Wunderfull Vera, Van Gogh’s full sister, already produced two 1.60m Grand Prix showjumping horses.Out of his first years we find numerous horses successful in 1.60m GP showjumping as well as Grand Prix dressage. Ustinov’s great exterior and jumping qualities are deeply anchored in his pedigree. His sire is the showjumping horse producer Libero H, a legend in his lifetime. Together with Jos Lansink this son of Landgraf I won a respectable series of World Cup competitions and Grand Prix, the highlight being his fantastic victory of the ‘s-Hertogenbosch World Cup finals in 1994. His fighting spirit in combination with his jumping skills and incredible reflexes made the stallion almost unbeatable that season.

With German rider Caroline Müller in the tack, Ustinov competed successfully at international shows such as Moorsele (B), Münster (GER), Verden (GER) and Neustadt Dosse (GER). The pedigree of Vivant’s sire Fuego du Prelet contains the famous blood of Jalisco B and Almé. The damsire Landino goes back to the Holsteiner stallion Landgraf and Ramzes. Justice is the 2017 KWPN stallion performance test champion and is a son of the acclaimed stallion Harley. Through Harley we find the famous stallions and horseproducers Heartbreaker and Carthago on the fatherside. In his dam line this fantastic pedigree is completed with the legendary stallions Pilot and Nimmerdor. Many successful showjumping horses such as Gancia de Muze (1.60m with Niels Bruynseels) and Wiveau (1.60m with Alain Jufer) have descended from this mother line. His dam is the bloodtyped mare Nobless Oblige, a daughter by E-Pilot who herself obtained excellent notes during her mare ability test. She in turn is also dam to the elite mare Coblesse who was awarded with a highscore of 81.5 points for her ability test. Halfsister Toblesse produced a.o. the scopey showjumper Diarindo (1.60m with Caroline Müller/Jens van Grunsven). Justice was approved at the KWPN scoring one of the highest point totals ever. On all subcategories this stallion scored 8.5 or higher. For character he scored a 9.0 and for ride-ability a stunning 9.5! The performance test report speaks of a reliable uncomplicated stallion with a great character and a willingness to work. In addition his canter is light-footed and balanced. The stallion has a great front- and hind technique, is careful and has a lot of athletic scope. Justice won the 2019 KWPN stallion competition, and qualified for the Zangersheide world championships. Lupicor is currently still in the top of the xxxttx. Even 14 years after his death in 2008, he is still a defining stallion in the global showjumping horse breeding in 2022! The blood of Lupicor can also be found in the dam line of many international show jumpers.

Lupicor has developed into an absolute top show jumper sire in recent years. From a relatively small group of offspring, Lupicor has 87 horses that have jumped at 1.50m and 1.60m Grand Prix level. This year we can offer you the acclaimed blood of Chacco-Blue, the number aone stallion of the world.

With the Italian rider Riccardo Pissani, Chaclot has been part of the Italian National team competing in several Nation Cup competitions such as St. Gallen, Calgary and Hickstead. This combination was also part of the Italian team at the European Championships in Rotterdam 2019.

Without a doubt one of the most prominent stallions of the past year; this Cornet Obolensky stallion again and again stands out by his reflexes, technique and great scope. In addition to his father, the living legend Cornet Obolensky, this dam line continues with the highly respected showjumping producers and stallions For Pleasure, Athlet Z, and Libero H. In addition to Kensington, dam Athletin also produced the 1.50m GP mare Haya (s. Mylord Carthago), who under the Irishman Shane Breen int. is successful. The KWPN performance test report states the following: “Kensington is an honest and reliable stallion with an excellent character and a great willingness to work. His canter is light-footed, has a good space and is very well balanced. Kensington jumps with very good reflexes, good technique and uses his body in the best possible way a showjumper could do. Kensington looks to be very careful and shows a tremendous amount of scope. As a jumper Kensington has lots of ability and possibilities and gives his rider a very good feeling.” Kensington seems to completely meet the expectations that were set by the KWPN stallion committee. He shows great power and strength and has all the qualities to develop into a great Showjumping sire. He proved this once again by achieving very impressive results in various international 1.45m competitions in recent months.

After his convincing performance during the KWPN young horse championships in Valkenswaard 2020, this impressive bay stallion earned his invitation to the KWPN performance test. The powerful jumper Lord of Farming was the convincing winner in the semi-finals and the best performing stallion with a 4th place in the final.

With foundation stallions such as Balou du Rouet, Clinton, Heartbreaker, Voltaire and Pilot he has a dream pedigree.

From this dam line come several approved stallions and international sport horses including the well-known showjumping horse Garant. This grandson of our Numero Uno managed to win the World Cup in New York with the American rider Beezie Madden and was selected to participate at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Lord of Farming was entered with very good scores in the KWPN studbook last year. On all of the test elements the stallion was rewarded with an 8 or higher. Lord of Farming achieved excellent scores in particular with regards to attitude, rideability, scope and movement. TThat this Balou de Rouet son has the potential to grow into a successful GP horse was evident from his recent appearance in the Blom Cup 2022, in which he left an excellent impression under the saddle of Caroline Müller!
