descente CHAMOIS technology INFINITY CHAMOIS: We don’t use the word “infinity” lightly, but that’s how long you’re going to feel you can ride in this chamois. With high-density inserts, perforation for breathability, a super-soft, stretch surface and 14 mm of open-cell foam exactly where you need it, this chamois goes the distance. Any distance.

ESCHLER FLASH MESH™: No other manufacturer produces a better-quality warp knit than Eschler of Switzerland. Flash Mesh offers perfectly balanced stretch and compression with a beautiful, soft feel in an “almost mesh” construction. By combining hydrophobic polyester on the inside with a hydrophilic nylon surface Flash Mesh provides superior moisture management and “flash” drying: up to two times faster drying than the leading alternative brand. 60% Nylon, 23% Polyester, 17% Spandex. Lycra Power™ Certified. H2ZERO™: 100% Polyester dual-denier yarn employs “denier-gradient” and “vapor-channel” technology to provide great moisture management. SCHOELLER COLDBLACK™: Most dark-colored clothing absorbs 90% of the sun’s heat, but fabrics that have been treated with Schoeller’s Coldblack™ technology during the dying process actually reflect 80% of heat rays while also offering a minimum of UPF 30+ protection against harmful ultraviolet rays. The company keeps the technology a closely guarded secret, but the results speak for themselves: Temperature tests at independent labs found that a Coldblack™-treated jersey held under infrared lamps stayed 10°F cooler on the interior and 22°F cooler on the surface than a regular jersey. SPEED™: A unique and advanced honeycomb construction provides dynamic thermoregulation. This 40 gauge Nylon/ Lycra™ offers great compression with a very lightweight yet opaque knit. At Descente, we are committed to never sacrificing functionality for rack appeal and to maintaining product integrity. While Ride Position Fit is a design and product development guideline, it’s also an effective sales and marketing concept. We don’t design cycling products for store changing rooms, standing straight up, facing a mirror. Examples of RPF can be found in our front and back rise differentials, contoured collars, sleeve lengths, tapered and contoured panel constructions, glove finger lengths and others.
