Arter hosted five solo and group exhibitions in 2016, including Şener Özmen’s “Unfiltered”, Murat Akagündüz’s “Vertigo”, Bahar Yürükoğlu’s “Flow Through”, Nil Yalter’s “Off the Record”, and Bilge Friedlaender’s “Words, Numbers, Lines” as well as a group show entitled “Not All That Falls Has Wings”, curated by Selen Ansen. The construction of the contemporary art museum that will further Arter’s program with the same name in Istanbul’s Dolapdere district continued in 2016. ■

ARTER
Arter, çağdaş sanat alanında sürdürülebilir bir üretim ve sergileme altyapısı sunmak üzere 2010 yılında açıldı. Düzenlediği kişisel ve karma sergilerle çağdaş sanatın görünürlüğüne katkıda bulunurken, bu sergiler kapsamında sanatçılara sunduğu üretim olanaklarıyla Türkiye'deki eser üretimini desteklemeyi de hedefliyor. Arter'in programına, her bir sergi için özel olarak hazırlanan yayınlar eşlik ediyor.
Arter opened in 2010 to offer a sustainable infrastructure for producing and exhibiting contemporary art. Arter has been presenting solo and group exhibitions with the aim of providing a platform of visibility for artistic practices and encouraging production of contemporary artworks through the support it provides in the context of these exhibitions.
